Kinda pisses me off that they'd use the Halo CE intro soundtrack for the music to this review...especially considering this is the most unique of all the Halo soundtracks and Marty O'Donnell specifically said there'd be "no monks" on it. This is the ONE Halo game without choral monk singing and they slap it on the trailer. Bush league.

I had fun with odst. it was okay. the campaign seemed a bit more polished than halo 3 but other than that, halo 3 is far superior. odst was like 4 hours long, firefight was okay, and the only real good thing about this game was the 2nd disc since i had none of the dlc for halo 3. i give the game an 8.5. halo 3 is a 10.

@LBGreenthumb I personnally found the multiplayer fantastic, but the community horrible. People Campin' everywhere, rushing the power weapons or betraying you if you get "THEIR WEAPON", people booting you for no reason , people somehow betraying you on purpose, but that aren't able to get booted...(ex: you have a room full of 4 enemies, you shoot a rocket, team mate jumps in front of the rocket. Booted.) That's why I play mostly SWAT, Invasion, maybe Infection and Action Sack. (And Grifball)

I mean, most maps have one enclosed spot where the whole team just gethers and hold the area off for a good portion of the game, which is entirely un-fair. The others want to make up for their loss of points, so they go to that spot and get killed AGAIN AND AGAIN by assholes with Shotguns just waiting for them at the lift.

@PearsRaspberry The first Halo (Combat Evolved) was an epic game, the rest that have followed have had lame storys (halo 2 and halo 3, I havent played halo odst, or the new halo reach) As far as the "ps2 graphics" come on now we all know that is BS, they may not be the best looking games out, but they look alot better then ps2 graphics. I never got hooked to halo's multiplayer except for having system links with the first halo in basement back in 2001.

to me odst was like an experiment for bungie. firefight achievement notifications no multiplayer (in the odst disc). this was created basically b/c bungie wanted to know what works and what not works. and now that they no this they will take what they have learned from all the halos they have made thus far and try to make halo reach the best of them all. good story shouldnt been 60 bucks more like 40 to me.

A shitty 4 hour campaign that mostly involves wandering the streets at night, and a wave defence mode isn't a fantastic package in my book (especially when it costs full price). Sure you get the Halo 3 multiplayer disc, but the people who bought all 3 map packs prior to ODST (most Halo fans) only get one map pack out of the disk. It seems that any game with "Halo" in the title will get a good review. There are so many better franchises!

Mostly agree with this review however not having a matchmaking option kills Firefight mode for a lot of people. A great mode, but it should be easier to gather friends or strangers to play.
