I live in the Lake Superior snow country (352 inches last year) and there has been many a time I've thought of this song while trying to get home when driving through a blizzard that was like driving through a pail of milk.
Jim Reeves was absolutely the greatest singer who ever lived -- period. Thank you for sharing this wonderful song and the beautifully crafted graphics specially designed for this song.
thank you for your very nice comment on the animation. its a perfect song to put into pictures,as itputs the images in your mind as you listen to the story. thank you again.
Amazing, I was singing this in the shower this a.m. My favorite Jim Reeves song ('tho I wish someone would put "My Cathedral" on here). Best "pure" voice ever!
One of my favorite Jim Reeves songs...excellent video too. Not to criticize...but he was trying to get to Mary Ann, the person, not Mary Annes, the house. I just think that puts the song in a slightly different light...thanks !!!
That has got to be one of the coolest videos ive ever seen!!. :-)

Like Old Tige, this is also a very sad song. The guitar parts add something, a little extra.

As a very odd kid, I was attracted to songs like this. What a combination: great voice, sad song.
