now french toast does sound good. i haven't searched your sight yet. was wondering.... was the blueberry waffles homemade, or a mix ? oh...meant to tell you...i used to make my son puff pancakes when he was growing up. i would make a thin pancake batter, dip sandwich bread in it & fry in a lil' butter in a skillet. that might do well in the waffle maker. good way to use day old bread. i cut the bread in half before i dipped it in the batter. haven't thought about that in years. :)
great. idea! i figured it would stick like crazy. what about a grilled cheese "waffle" style? darnit, now i gotta go get me a waffle maker. ;) cause i'm thinking of all kinds of crazy things i can try. oh, & i love blueberries!
Now that was clever. On Thursday nights it's breakfast for dinner and we often have waffles. I will try the waffle eggs next time and tell how they turn out. Love new ideas.
Looks good to me! And they came right out nice and clean too. I'll have to tell the chief cook around here about it. Maybe I could surprise her and do it myself. What do you think? Should I be that adventuresome and live that dangerously? Only time will tell, and eternity might bear the answer...
I think that my kids would have refused to eat them based on aesthetics alone. I however loved the resulting squareness. Unnatural, yes. Tasty, apparently so.
great ... now i want waffles. God help me, this weight loss thing is a 24/7 battle of wills!! =0 never made eggs in a waffle iron, that thought would never have occured to me!! YUMMY!! =0
EGGcellent!! I was getting worried about those eggs sticking to the iron but I guess because it was a new one it was alright. Try doing that on an old waffle iron and you'd never get those eggs out.
Your kids are so cute! But I do have to try the waffled egg now (=
