I thought that the whole idea behind the SKATE series was that it was supposed to be more realistic than Tony Hawks...almost like a skateboarding simulator.

This looks absolutely awful. Completely unrealistic and a cheesy theme. I'm guessing that they've got a new design team onboard who've looked at Tony Hawk's success and are trying to do the same thing again.
