  • Random Fact - Kelly Parsons ("Kelly") was Miss California in 1986. In the 1986 Miss USA pageant, she was fourth runner up and Halle Berry (Miss Ohio) was first runner up.

  • Uy! Que recuerdos....!!

  • gigaawesomes thank you so muc forposting these a true awesome wholesome treasure

  • Haa Haa!!! I loved this show back in the day! The music was happy-go-lucky. Shawnte,Nita and Kelly had beautiful hair.

  • i will always love julie!!!!!!!!!

  • I will ALWAYS love Kelly!!!

  • I was 8 years old when this debuted in 1977. I have mixed feelings watching this all over again. You see, my parents split up for good only a couple years before. My mother got custody of us kids. It was after the split that she turned into a mentally ill, abusive, psychotic monster. It was a living hell and I turned to watching television for solace. God, how I wished I could escape from her, become a mousketeer on tv and be as happy as they were on screen. Lord, I just want to cry.

  • why is the intro so goddamn long ?

  • @sophhhhhhhx3 The Intro's were unique to the Disco Mice. They were long and wonderful. I loved each and every one of them. Surprise Day was my favorite day, but I think Discovery Day was a better song.

  • WOW...they were like little robots!!! BIG SMILES, wide eyes and all!!!!! BUT BOY did I LOOOOVE this as a kid...I would pretend I was ALison and my friend would pretend she was Kelly... BRINGS back GREAT MEMORIES!!!

COULD'nt they have had Lisa WHelchel doing something else besides playing "air guitar"??????? I guess she couldn't dance!!!

  • Thank you so much for all these! I thought they were lost for ever.

  • this was the absolute peak of the disco yrs (just listen to the opening of that intro lol)

  • Think about this. These kids had lots of talent, and they were in essence doing a Daily variety show which isn't easy to do. When they performed at Disneyland, it was practically like performing on Broadway! I feel funny about calling them kids because I was their age when I watched this in the late 70's! lol I loved this show then and now, and the songs are great and so are the kids. I still love Kelly!

  • asian kid does karate and black kid plays basketball, of course

  • @Pearljammm You Mean Angle and POP

  • Not to mention Edith Ann was on Sesame Street!

  • Isn't this 80's?

  • @MissInvisible11 this is from 1977/78

  • The girl named Julie. Wasn't she on The Facts Of Life (first couple of seasons) with Lisa Whelchel aka "Blair Warner"?

I remember watching both shows when I was young. Days gone by.

  • @LMmccallL57

Yes, but only for the first season.

  • Thank you, classicphile.

  • oh my goodness....i love Disney and all, but this is just plain disturbing.

  • What on earth about this can you possibly find disrurbing?

  • Comment removed

  • The kids were taught to over emphasize their facial expressions and to be, well - over the top. I love/d the song.

They are nowhere near as bad as the adults in children's bodies of today encouraged to speak as though they are sucking on helium. Or the adults who prance around behaving, deresing and speaking like children. (NO hotel chains mentioned)!!

I loved the Mickey Mouse Club and can still remember the songs to the different days 30 years after the fact - sad huh?

  • haha, well i have to agree with u about the adult thing. and im sure since u probably grew up with this show it means a lot more to u than to someone like me. im sorry if i offended u!

  • No offence taken. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion : )

  • I liked Mindy Feldman

Can't believe she would be upstaged by her brother.

  • M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!! :-D

  • Oh wow. Does this bring back memories. I was 8 years old when the NMMC debuted in 1977. The problem was that the local station aired it around 2 or 2 thirty in the afternoon on the weekdays and school didnt let out until 3pm. So the only way I could see an episode here and there was if I was sick, on vacation, or cut out of school early. I think the ratings would have been better if they only aired it at a time when we kids could see it. And I had the maddest crush on Kelly!!! (who didnt?)

  • Dude, every word you just said describes my story to a T! So where is Kelly now???

  • @MontagTheMagician

According to wikipedia, Kelly was crowned Miss California, USA in 1986. Her last appearance was on Star Search in 1986. She has since left show business and today works as a hairdresser in Los Angeles. (also I saw some mention of her getting married in 2001, but I dont know if thats true or not)

  • This is great, hard to believe it was only one season. I knew I remembered this from somewhere.

  • Mickey Mouse, DONALD DUCK. mickey house, DONALD DUCK!!

  • Hi this video reminded me of my childhood thanks for uploading, I saw this program at age 5 in 1979 and shouted up mickey, mickey I saw it up here in Monterrey Mexico

  • woooow. And good ole Lisa Whelchel. LOL! Man, I always wanted one of those frisbees. Used to have this on vinyl. I wanted to be a mousekeeter so bad!!!

  • 2:30

  • That Pops kid real name is Billy. 2:58

    Cool Spinning floor.

  • sure bring back memories. Hah...hah... brings back laugh now seeing them wearing bell bottoms

  • I used to also rush home from high school to watch it. My older siblings grew up on the original MMC during the 50's. Never did get to see the 90's ones because cable wasn't in our town yet. Boy this brought back memories. The looks on the kids faces are so fake and corny.

  • WOAH!! They got hella energy!!

The Scott guy's robot is on point!! LOL!! and I LOVE the look on his face, Pop, and Lisa's after they say their names!! LOL!!!

I would pay big money to get the chance to watch some of their episodes over the crap on now.

  • These kids are good at singing. i cant believe this was only one season.

  • Scott has also died. The show was very good to us kids then. It was on WGN Chicago. I watched it everyday. Doesn't appear as spit polished as somethings are today but then this video quality isn't great. I thought their theme songs were good. I liked "Surprise Day" the best

  • The series' 130 episodes were deposited in the Library Of Congress because Walt Disney Productions donated video copies directly to them. I've read the 1979 hardcover catalog the Library published ["Three Decades Of Television"], and each episode is listed in their collection as of that period...

  • ZOOM...lol! Watched that all the time

  • i actually would love to own this

  • There had been enough interest in the syndicated repeats of the original "MICKEY MOUSE CLUB" [January '75-January '77] for Disney to produce a new "updated" version for January 1977, 'palmer'. 130 episodes were taped, and stretched out over a two-year period. Lack of national ad support {brought on by Peggy Charren's "Action For Children's Television" group protesting that sponsors were pushing too many "junk products" on kids' TV shows at the time} finally did this series in, in January 1979.

  • This show was only picked up by 38 TV stations when it first aired. Independent stations obviously had to have been the main carriers of this show, which back then were mostly on UHF and hard for most people to get without cable for which was not accessible to everyone back then. Smaller markets were not capable of supporting independents and combining that with lower ad revenue made the show out of reach for smaller TV stations. There just wasn't enough opportunity for this show to succeed.

  • I miss the Vault Disney block that Disney Channel used to have. Really great old-school Disney stuff. It's since been discontinued and now we get to see Hannah Montana (ugh!) at 1 in the morning...

  • Why do they always have the Asians make martial moves. See 2:54.

  • Ah yes! Mindy! Had a thing for her when I was 5.

  • Probably because martial arts were invented by Asians.

  • If You Notice one of these Girls is the one who later played the part of Blair on the Facts Of Life

  • I Bet Seth MacFarlane Doesn't Know That

  • Who's He?

  • The Creator Of Family Guy (Loves The Facts of Life)

  • Oh Ok. Yeah the name did ring a bell.

  • actually, two. Julie was on season 1 of Facts, Lisa continued on as Blair

  • Oh yeah That's Right julie was the Girl who always wore a Baseball cap right? By the way I was checking out your page Nice Background.

  • The background on my page is Naima of America's Next Top Model. The girls that season posed as the Seven Deadly sins, Naima was envy. She is in a real casket and at the bottom of an open grave.

  • nice video. Where did you get these NMMC videos?

  • kelly, i hope you see this, please send me you email direction. i will always love you.

from Mexico. ivan. i want to write you.

    thanks! love.

  • I was 11 in 1977. Nita Dee (Benita di Giampaolo) was one of my first crushes. I rarely ever missed "NMMC". I heard that Nita is now a social worker in California. The polyester is kind of silly in retrospect, but it was the '70s. Unfortunately, Angel died of AIDS a few years ago. R.I.P.

  • Nita was cute, but so was Mindy! Man, she was my first crush and she turned out very nice when she grew up!

  • I also heard the Scott Craig died a few years ago, too.

  • Angel died of AIDS??? Very sad indeed.

  • I read that Kelly Parsons is working as a hairdresser. She's won some prizes as a beuaty contestant. Yes, I admired her hair, eyes, smile and stature.

  • when I was a kid and watched this show it was my ultimate dream to see Alison wearing nothin but a smile and her mouse ears :-)

  • I was madly in love with "Kelly" (Parsons) in 1977 I was 14 then! Sorry it got cancelled by 1980!

  • The theme is brilliant!

  • Talk about fond memories..I'm 36 now & still remember seeing, Lisa, Alison, Pop, etc.

  • Hiya CadilacL:

I am 47 and remember the show too. I used to watch this in high school and I used to be teased so much because I liked the NMMC and Disney.

  • All 130 episodes of "THE NEW MICKEY MOUSE CLUB" are on deposit at the Library Of Congress in Washington, D.C.- you'd have a better chance of reserving time there and seeing full episodes than waiting for Disney to release them on home video!

  • really? i would think that this mickey mouse club version wouldn't have been as important as the first and last one.especially since this one didn't last so long.how did it get into the library of congress

  • Isn't anyone at Disney in their 30s/40s and capable of getting this released on DVD? I'd buy every episode

  • My order for the girls were Lisa Allison,Julie,Kelly,Shawnte Nita and Mindy were younger than I so I never had crushes on them.

  • I had the biggest chush on Lisa. She looked so nice all the time.Still looking good after all these years.

  • Me too!

  • Same here! She has always looked great!

  • I was talking about Lisa. She has always looked great!

  • WOW they all dance and sing like they got energy that will last for days!!!! :)

  • This is great I used to watch this every time it was on when I was a kid. Watching now is a hoot. notice the Aisan kid doing karate and and the black kid dribbling a basketball. I love it! THANKS for posting this

  • omg i used to love this song lol

i had the mickey unrapped cd

and i would listen to the whole thing

like everyday and when i was younger

that was a big deal lol

  • Yes, both Lisa and Julie starred in Facts of Life. You can confirm that by the clip "nmmc segment on e!".

  • Strongly agreed.

  • This brought so much memories, i've even cried while watching it. Thanks a billion for posting this. God! I was about 7 or 8 y.o. back then, but it all came back to me just like that. Once again, thank you so very much!

  • WOW! I watched these as a kid! I had the Soundtrack album! I haven't seen these in 30 years! This is the coolest thing I ever saw! I even remembered some of there names and the words to the songs. Do you have "Surprise day"? it was my favorite, it was on Wednesday. Thank You So much for these. I got to return to my childhood for a while.

  • surprise day, surprise day, mousketeer surprise day. anything can happen and it usually does! I was in 1st grade but still remember that

  • Its funny cause they combined all races like white , black , hispanic & asian .

  • OMG I remember having a BIG crush on Shawntee from this show when i was about 8 or 9.lol Shes still a beautiful woman today. The 70s mickey mouse club was the best version.

  • Looks like the producers watched Wheel of Fortune when coming up with this show...

  • Look at this studio! Filled with kids! Fabulous and exciting people, including...

    The beautiful, sexy, Jill Whelan.

    Corey Feldman and his sister.

Over $1,750 in props just waiting to be won on the Mickey Mouse Club!

  • I so remember watching this, and feeling bad that Mindy never caught up to her spot on the wheel of fun at the end!

  • This was the Monday opening for "Who, What, Why, Where, When and How Day"....

  • Who thought of this theme? What was Disney thinking? Why are they throwing frisbees? Where on Earth did they get the idea for an animated Mickey at the beginning of the show? When did this show air? (I can answer that myself. It was 1977.) And how did they only end up with 1 season?

  • no problem, I am 21, I think this is better than the 90's MMC which is what i grew up watching. I forgot i had these on tape and decided to record them to my pc and post them. So Your very welcome to all of you.

  • do you have let's discover - i think it was the thursday theme.

  • I was a baby when this first aired. I don't remember any of this. It's very interesting to see just the same and - you're right - it is better than the MMC of the 90's. Did Disney ever re-run these or something?

  • Oh, and Disney Channel practically stinks now compared to what it was 15-20 years ago. I still enjoy watching it (being as old as I am), but it used to be better. Like they say, "Disney really grows on you".

  • oh my god i remember the intro perfectly, it was thirty years ago.

  • I'm 36 & I remember watching when I was a kid. If I remember right, each day had a theme. I'd love to see those too. Thanks for the memories.

  • Thanks for posting this. It sure brings back memories of when I was 7 years old! I thought I would never in my life see this again! THANK YOU THANK YOU !! OH I hope they would bring this out on DVD. My 7 year old daughter is enjoying this too, but like I said on another post, she doesn't understand that mommy was 7 years old at one time. LOL

  • Wow... I had forgotten about this, but now I'm singing right along. I would love to see "Surprise Day."

  • This was my absolute favorite show as a kid. I'd love video of the song "Walking the Dog"

  • I agree with the critic, I'd love to see the other four days. I'm too young to have seen this on TV, but I had an NMMC LP, and listened to it repeatedly. I love all of the "Day" songs and hope that more NMMC appears on YouTube!

  • NMMC is one of the best kid shows ever - for all ages! They should release all the episodes of the NMMC on DVD!

  • I love this video my uncel is Scott! this brings back good times of his life

  • Scott is your Uncle? Pretty cool!!

  • That was great! How about the other four days?
