@beautifulstar33 if you get a rabbit that was hand raised (as in bottle fed) it should be okay and not bite, or you can get a quiet rabbit, if you have a lot of space to keep one i suggest a flemish giant, they can be quite tame. most rabbits are fine with car rides, (to take them in the car i suggest putting them in a cat cage or something similar.) you shouldn't be scared, they dont bite very often, they do commonly nibble, this does not hurt, it just tickles.

@beautifulstar33 if you do get one from a shelter you should be careful, if it has ever been abused it may be afraid of humans or if it has been neglected it will not have had much experience with humans. at the shelter ask if you can handle it to see if it is a confident rabbit that deals well with humans. when i got my rabbit she was fine in the car, we put her in the cat cage and she just hopped around sniffing the cage, they are much better than cats in the car.

How do cats act, as opposed to rabbits, when caged in a car ride?

@beautifulstar33 i think if getting one from ashelter is too complicated you should get one from a breeder or someone who has babies that they dont need. often cats in cars can get scared and have small "spaz" attacks or panic attacks. most rabbits will sit in your car quietly while you drive them to the vet they handle car rides m uch better than cats

@beautifulstar33 a cat will sit on your lap and let you pat it for hours and then you may not see them for the rest of the day. whereas a rabbit will hop over every now and again for a minute or so to be petted. if you are lying on the ground and doing something like playing games on an ipod a rabbit is most likely going to hop over and it between and the ipod as if to say what are doing? you should be petting me!

@beautifulstar33 yes i do think rabbits are quite like dogs. my rabbits is female and she is quite loving, i think that males can get aggressive, if you do get a male it needs to be nuetered. if you are worried about a female getting pregnant you should get her spayed, this has a higher chance than cats of dieing when getting spayed.

When my bunny and I would be sitting on the floor together and I'd be reading a book, she would randomly start licking me LOL 'cause that's what bunnies do to convince other bunnies to groom them. I, of course, would pet her, which was her desired outcome. One time I was trying to read on my bed and she jumped up and landed on my textbook. It was so funny. :) Rabbits are easy to house train and make great pets. She took it upon herself to untie my shoes when I would come home from school. :)
