@dirtyedna ...Except that she's MIMING to the 45. I know the record very well, and the lead and backing vocals are identical to the RCA 45 here, and definitely a mime job. No big deal, as that's the way the show set it up no doubt.

@drwhatson ...I realize that...with few exceptions Soul Train made everyone lip-sync....however I have seen here live more than once and believe me, Girlfriend was NO JOKE !!!

she was so good....saw her at the Paradise Garage one night... nobody seems to know what became of her after the early 80's........

The booklet to that Ichiban Soul Classic CD hinted that she lives withdrawn in Tampa Florida and is battling some personal demons. A real shame. I download everything I can find by her and her duo Zalmac on iTunes in hopes that some of the money will reach her!
