why is it called "Turkish" beaded crochet? I've lived and done handicrafts in Turkey for over two decades and have never seen anything like the stitch being shown in the video ... just curious

@candeyer53 Maybe reason is that it is a little bit old fashion in Turkey or you did not get into Turkish handcrafts as much as you think:) Search google for 'boncuk oyası'. It is one of the oldest and most popular of all times 'oya' type in Turkey and one can not possibly know all aff them. I do not think It is possible:))
