This was our entry level stage I 347 making 400 HP. We have several options, shoot me a PM for more details or a quote on what you're seeking. Thanks!
nice car, strange cage tho door bars are short and all that extra bars with no dash bar? looks thight though, gotta be tough getting in with the door bars being short like that though.
ok here is my post: bought a 93 mustang coupe shell, wanna run a 10 sec car. What kind of motor you all have in mind, with the proper tranny? ALSO, wife gave me a 15k limit, what you all think?? Please post.
Bart, the budget is very much in line with what you are looking to accomplish. If you can shoot me a message to discuss details. I have 2 different motor combo's that would easily put you deep 10's for well under your number.
@THRstang i know it really wasnt my business but what motors did you have in mind? because when i saw this comment i automatically though about swapping a 351w or just keep the 302 and use a tremec t56.
IMO if it runs on pump gas and you wont get pulled over the sec a cop sees you its street legal. in my case being in ca if it runs on 91 octane its street legal. awesome ride looks badass
Amen to that one! Having lived in LA with a couple stangs I know your pain. They'll pull you over, pop the hood, and start righting you a book of tickets if it doesn't have a Carb50 stamp on it! Fortunately, here we can get away with almost anything that has lights/blinkers! Check out our other vids to see this one with the new Solid Roller 550 HP motor running 10's on DOT tires.
@aodonnell1234 Very Nice Ride. I've had several Saleens and had the opportunity watch them build my Yellow Extreme Vert in 06. Spent 4 days at the Factory and watched them work their magic. Then we trailered it back to the shop to add another 250 HP! Point of the street car is not whether it has a cage, but whether it is drivable, safe, and meets the DOT standards for being LEGAL on the street. Cages don't add any HP or Performance beyond the stiffining effect of the chassis. Cages are safer.
Oh, OK, I'll update the Dept of Transportation so they can ban all the factory Jeeps and cars with Roll Bars/Cages to be illegal. LOL!
IN reality, how does a SAFETY FEATURE like a cage make it not a street car. Just because someone's ride is fast and they want it to be safe (hence the cage), you call it a race car not a street car? It should help the slower cars keep up since it adds weight. Thanks for watching!
Make sure to see the finished product on our YouTube Channel "THRstang" or click above for additional vids from this user. We now have the solid roller "crazy" 550 HP N/A (All Motor) engine set up in it. She FLIES for a small block!
@repinda561 We carry it for $389 plus freight, usually about $150 pending final zip code. It's a custom hood we have made. We also have them for the modulars.
every mustang sounds like that when you put headers and flowmasters on it and cut off the tubing right after the seats. try it on a stock engine same sound. the loping you hear on this car sounds awesome though.. thanks to a badass cam im guessing.
Thanks for the kind words. Check out the new motor we stuffed in at our Channel: THRstang here on youtube. Just click on the THRstang link in next to the vid and you'll see it's big brother, the 550 HP Solid Roller 347 running 10's all motor.
@THRstang I want its big brother, the solid roller 347, I love that car, and the sound, I got a 95 5.0 in my 65 F100 swb pick up, I love fords and 5.0's I'll run a 5.0 over anything. This car in this video sounds good also.
I'm not being obnoxious, but I just don't understand the obsession with hp on a street-driven car. I love these cars, but they don't make much sense for daily drivers, at least not to me. dedicated drag car with 400+ hp makes sense. for the street, a 300hp foxbody with a killer cam and exhaust, great body work, paint and interior too. putting money into the motor and driving a crap-box never makes sense, again, not for a street car. just my opinion.
Im not arguing your opinion because to each his own but Im the opposite. Ive always preferred a full interior high horsepower car that you could drive to the track and race if you want, or just have a blast driving around. Im not as interested in a car that I have to tow to the track in order to enjoy it.
My Saturday night bruiser will be 480rwhp once I get the AFR 205's and XR292R solid street roller installed. It's a 393 stroker in a 68 Mustang. I only drive it on the weekends. The car should be in the 10's at the track, if I ever get the guts to take it there.
Don't go with AFR heads for a Ford,Look into CHI heads or Jon Kaase Cleveland heads and have them modified to work with your 393W stroker. You will get way more power with Cleveland Heads over Windsor heads. Chi heads builds nasty stroker 351W's AND C'S getting 700+ HP and the sell fully assembled heads and intakes to match with their heads.
I didn't state this car is crap, but I see a lot of junk foxes running around locally with lots of power. I'd rather see a moderate motor running in a nice restoration. horse power is great for the track but a nice cam with 10.5:1 compression gives a great sound without creating unusable street power. remember, it's just my opinion. and fyi I love the foxes too. I've owned one 79 notch, two 86 GTs, one 86 drag car, one 92 LX, one 91 LX and currently two 93 LX notches.
at least you said its just your opinion, most people would sacrafice horrible MPG to be in the car they've poured hours and hours and hours of blood sweat and tears into.. not alot of people want to invest thousands into a weekend warrior, and the people that do, usually still have a truck or a fast street car...
When you guys gonna do a coyote 302 build, I think it would be nice to see what ya's can do with the new dohc 302.
