  • i like to consume it lololol

  • société de surconsommation nous poussant vers des besoins futils. "nous sommes TOUS des tox. ce que nous possédons nous possède" paroles d'un nouveau morceau de mon groupe , Seuil Critique

  • I dig it man. It is more down-tempo than the early industrial that I remember. Wait....what were we talking about?

  • love it-

yes are we consuming in the social network or are we being consumed byt it?

  • lets go

  • its necessary. i like being part of the consumer society, we all like it. we would all be fucked without it. yes they want your money, its thier job. i also want your money, so i can buy thier stuff. its not some crime against the natural world. it is the natural world, and theres nothing actually wrong with it. denying it is like if ants one day rebelled against thier way of life. they wouldnt last very long. you should go buy some stuff right now. im gonna go order something online.

  • This society, kapitalist system can create the same 'greyness as any other opressive regime. Im mostly worried we are 'eating the world up..ourselves in the end.Unlimited supply?Im not sure. 1love

  • rant on....*****

  • Thanks for taking my video comment ! I believe it can be considered as a comment concerning the largest part of your works !

  • WOnderfull work here and excellently edited. So true of todays consumer society. Buy before you Die. All I see around me are walking talking adverts with human faces telling me they are 'happy'

    AWESOME VID, very inspirational.

  • Excellent ! work, consumption make you slave if you don't build alternatives for care freedom and mind !

  • good photography, music, images but the beat of the editing is weak IMHO of course.

  • cool, sweet, very, very interesting video, well fkng done dude!

  • and they even tax you when you die in ny

  • producers consumers and ...if someone is unhappy he dont buy nothing...

  • well done

  • Nice, you need your own website dude

  • Very Well Done , Enjoyed

    Thanks for sharing

  • For people trying to deconstruct the video I think (might be wrong) that it's an experiential montage I don't think that it's supposed to have a solid opinion.

  • very good, I'm impressed!

  • votato!!!

  • Soooo...food, liquor, money, electricity, guns, and shampoo are bad?

  • @smttysmth02gt There is no good or bad. There is only the Society of the Spectacle, unless you live under a rock.

  • @Metacosmesis If they are neither good, nor bad, then why do they matter? My point was, I missed the point of the video. Of course human beings are consumers. The only ones that do not consume are dead. What was the point of the video?

  • @smttysmth02gt The point of the video? I guess that would be the intent of the author. I can't speak for him. He did give a brief statement in the description field. As far as the gestalt of the video goes, I guess we each confront it with our own respective set of relative emotional values---e.g., the good vs. the bad.

  • @Metacosmesis It said it was about the alienation of consumerism, which is in itself, a pretty broad and generic subject, of which I still don't know what one could possibly be trying to convey from showing pictures of the things I stated in my initial post. I consume food, liquor, electricity, guns (ammo---I guess?), and shampoo. I see nothing wrong with enjoying those things.

Of course, most times people refer to consumerism (IMO), it is backed by a new age type ideology, which I loathe.

  • @smttysmth02gt The author cites Guy Debord, so there is an arguably political bias with the video presentation. However, I think most people are willing to admit that there are certain anomic aspects of consumer society, regardless of their perspective of materialism.

  • @Metacosmesis I don't know who Guy Debord is. I do know however, that materialism and consumerism are 2 very different things. For example, living your life in a way that revolves around material possessions and the idea that ONLY they can make you happy, is materialism. Consumerism is simply something that ALL living things must be "guilty" of, if they wish to remain living. the notion that it is "bad" is silly and quite frankly, dangerous IMO.
