obama is just like every other president we've had recently. currupt and willing you sacrifice the freedoms of the american people for his own agenda. AMERICANS MUST REBEL
@WTF23450 Yes some politicians try to cross the line between oppression and freedom but they can not take away our freedom. Their jobs are to check freedom in a sense that we have freedom but have limits to what we can do with those freedoms.
@LeCoeurOuvert well, socialism is just an economic form - there can be socialistic monarchy as Libya or a socialistic oligarchy as USSR. The capitalism has the same issue - there can be capitalistic oligarchy such as Third Reich or capitalistic republic - as US in XIX century. The economic form - or methode of economic prodution by Engels base itself on scientific level of the industry, where goverment forms are based mainly on people's will.
why can't we intall a severely checked autocratic democracy (one leader with large power, who is elected via popular vote) with a council (also elected via popular vote) that he/she must take advice from before ruling. The council would be similar to the current cabinet. They could also impeach him and veto his laws, the people can also impeach the leader. you see not all oligarchies are bad.
Its funny, now the Republicans want less freedom (no gay marriage, no abortions, and more corporate power), and the Democrats want to make it so people can do what they want.
@JubularBird Democrat progressives are every bit as detrimental to liberty as Republican progressives. The Dems during Wilson rubbed us of our right to drink alcohol and use drugs. They robbed us of our right to choose what sort of light bulb, washing machine, toilet or shower head we can buy. Whether we can smoke in our own bar or wear a seat belt or have salt shakers in restaurants. The so called pro choice crowd is responsible for removing more choices from individuals than ANYONE else
based on how things seems to be run, the government is more accurately an Oligarchy, since lobbyist groups buy politicians so often in order to get there way.
oligarchy: a form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique; government by the few.
Seems to fit since the people don't seem have have any control over the government anymore, thus the few hold all the power.
Democracy in America has been undermined from within. It's been going on for a long time and it's getting worse. Not only that, we're being forced to fund the deception. Tax dollars have paid for mind control experiments and staged attacks to draw us into war; for drug running of detainees. Its time to wake up and start demanding accountability! Challenge unnecessary secrecy in hope that government leaders will show greater ethical consideration in the future if we remove their masks.
Government officials can and do disregard the law, torture people, break promises, practically rewrite the Constitution, and keep on lying, without raising any eyebrows. There are an astounding 16 mil documents being classified "Top Secret" by the government every year! Today, pretty much EVERYTHING the government does is presumed secret. Military experiments, fake terrorist attacks, is this really necessary for the conduct of foreign affairs or the internal operation of a democratic government?
@xojennixo89 Uh huh. So it isn't sorry, no. We only have a democratic voting system but nothing should ever be put to vote if it violates the Constitution. The Constitution, inspired by the Declaration of Independence, is our law. We are a Nation of Laws.
We recite the Pledge of Allegiance:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands..."
To save freedom for America, and ultimately the world, we need a restoration of the Constitutional Republic. Democracy is a code word for "socialism," which then leads to communism (according to Karl Marx). Great video!
Better form of government: Have a council of representatives from opposite political parties meet to select a group of children possessing superior leader qualities. The children are educated and trained from childhood to late adolescence before the council agrees on the candidate with the best demonstration of political skills and knowledge.
It's great how narrator goes on about republics and freedom, touting both the US and Roman systems and how free they were... yet in both accounts there was MASSIVE slave ownership.
There was never "massive" slave ownership in the U.S. It's a problem that has been corrected in America long ago. In addition to the issues mentioned in the video, one of the reasons leading to the downfall of Rome is the fact they didn't abolish slavery.
Video script is totally wrong.. The 'left vs right' paradigm only refers to the economic dimension of political values. It doesn't include the north vs south poles of political values which is the 'social dimension' of libertarianism vs authoritarianism with anarchism at the extreme southern pole and fascism at the extreme northern pole.. Check out politicalcompass org for more on this...
This video is BS. When it's talking about governmental power, that's the difference between being authoritarian and libertarian.
And this is moot, because the US is a republic with democratically elected officials... on the papers at least. It's actual an oligarchy where the very few richest members get to call all the shots.
The problem is that power brings out the worst in mankind. If you think that some day some form of government will bring enduring stability you are naive.
please dont be an ignorant, dont be part of the capitalist/imperialistic shit calling USA America, America is a continent.. and calling USA America its like stole the name from the other countries... because all of the countries in North America and South America are America
The political spectrum presented in this video is all wrong. The person who made this video mixed ideology and form of govenment. For instance, a socialist and communist government can be democratic. The correct political spectrum is "the political compass". Also, this video only advertise the american form of govenment as the only right one.
@iKnewt Democracy always places opinions above justice for the individual. The American experiment was the best and now it's over and America is run by an oligarchy. The video is correct. Yes socialist and communist government can be democratic... I doubt that the man who made the video would disagree with that. Democracy is just mob rule. There is no political spectrum there's just liberty and slavery.
@andeeh My point is that the spectrum showed in the video, tells that a communist or socialist government always has total power. But the fact is that in a proper communist state, there is no government. It's the people that run the country, not the powerful few, like history have showed us. And the way the video show democracy, is very strange. I live in the most democratic country in the world (Norway), and everyone have the right for a fair trial.
We are no longer a Republic. We are a Representative dictatorship. Our government has obtained totalitarian powers and these TRAITORS that we have elected into office keep their positions by misinforming the public. The ignorant always outweigh the educated, thus our way of life will always be threatened by those who vote away not only their own rights, but everyone else's.
Ofcourse its not a democracy, its called a Representative Democracy.
Which has created the two party dictatorship system the US lives under today, where controlling the law lies in the hands of the Corporations as they use Lobbying to write the laws they want.
Also ur idea of left to right is wrong. Big government or small government is irrelevant, its about Fascism, the idea that men should compete against each other to advance in society, and Socialism, the idea that we are all of Equal worth
@Ex0dus111 Fascists actually don't like competition and believe the government does a better job of running the economy than individuals, just like most if not all socialists.
@MetaKnight964 No Fascist LOVE competition, its what their whole ideology is based on. Thats why they have a strong leader at the top, thats the one that won the competition, but they also layer their society in strict competitive hierarchies, making a difference between slave, free man, and citizen and titled citizens up the ladder. Just like Corporations. To keep everyone competing at all times and levels.
@Ex0dus111 Education much?.. First, it's not a "representative democracy", it's a representative republic. Democracy is ruled by the majority, a republic is ruled by a constitution. (meaning, many things can not be ruled illegal/legal even if the majority wants it)
Secondly.. what you describe as fascism is a byproduct of capitalism. Competition is not really a bad thing, often it facilitates progress and innovation.
Socialism means equal worth. Historically, equally low worth.
Not exactly quotes but at about 5:20: 'The flaw in democracy is that the majority isn't restrained... In a true republic, the government is restrained by law and the people are left alone.'
Was skeptical as to whether you would make sure to point the differences out with them being stated so back to back, but you did and you're examples and explanations seem very sound
continued ... For example while it is probably not possible for a dictator to destroy every single one of his immediate subordinates in an instant, in the same way an oligarchy cannot take everything from everyone all at once, in a dictatorship the dictator CAN destroy a single individual subordinate if he wants to, just as an oligarchy can easily persecute a minority. In both cases given enough time the ruler or ruling elite can probably take/destroy virtually everything, but not in an instant.
I really take issue with this video eliminating the line between oligarchy and dictatorship by claiming dictatorships are really oligarchies. It's true all dictators do rely on their subordinates, but only in the same small way an oligarchy relies on the manipulated masses. Oligarchy is rule of a few who are all more or less equals, a dictatorship occurs when a single individual is far more powerful than any one of his immediate subordinates. This was the case with Stalin, Hitler and Louis XIV.
Islamic Republic of Pakistan, this is the complete name of my state. Why doesnt America rename itself frm United States of America to United States of American Republics or Democratic Republic of American Union or something like that which will have the word Republic in it.I know before this renaming occurs the whole political scenario has to be changed. In my own country, despite its name,we don't have a republic or a democracy, or even Islamic Law. What we have is an oligarchy; the elitist rule.
@jihuha1 Divine Government is actually what our laws are based off of, the law of god in the christian sense in our case. 90% of the laws, or commandments, in the bible are laws in the american government. Even in a Divine Government, someone has to have the last say, if no one has the last say, it is only a democracy.
@jihuha1 leave it to a muslim to say something brainwashed like that. You do know that men wrote "muslim" law. Men that could read and fed it to uneducated people looking for excuses to their lives. muslim/judaism/christianity all a calming opiate to control people, and when you rush back with your hateful retort, I've already proven my point because you want to defend the doctrine that dictates your entire life from craddle to grave. Pray to your god and you will convince yourself of anything.
@gmichaelz Shari'a is not written: It came directly from Allah through his angel Gabriel and dictated verbatim to Mohammed (pbuh), a man who could neither read nor write. Besides, a so-called republic contains laws that are re-written numerous times just to fatten the pockets of capitalists and keep the poor in deeper depression. That's why you have the "Illuminati", to use the poor to feed the rich (and make them more rich).
@jihuha1 well I wont really get into it.. but it's ironic that 3 so called saviors only visited the middle east so long ago forgetting about about Asia, both American continents Australia and the rest of Europe and Africa. Ya know I'm sure Thor had law that was passed down. I'm sure Zeus dropped some nuggets of wisdom too. Why aren't Nords, Italians, Greeks chopping off heads and stoning people?
@jihuha1 Myths that people once passionately believed in, just like the myths you believe in now. Some religions live, some die. Look around, there are plenty of religions still going today, these myths are different from old Norse and Greek polytheism only because they get respect they don't deserve, whereas no one worries about offending Norse or Greek polytheists (no one criticised Microsoft's Age of Mythology because it made fun of the deeply held beliefs of long dead worshippers!).
@jihuha1 Wrong question, you are asserting it is the truth so the burden is on you to prove it isn't a myth. Nothing makes Islam stand out as remarkable among the many beliefs people have held throughout history. It is in the Abrahamic family along with Judaism and Christianity, and as with the other two you can't even really talk about it as a single set of beliefs, since it is itself fractured into a huge number of interpretations. Why do you think it isn't a myth?
@Hypertask I bear witness that there is only One God whose name is Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is his slave and messenger. That's why I KNOW it isn't a myth.
@jihuha1 All you've done is make an assertion, you haven't shown anything. If I were arguing with a Christian he may have done exactly the same thing only with a few of the words changed. He would say he has 'let Jesus into his heart' or something like that and therefore 'KNOWS Christianity isn't a myth'. Like I said before Islam does not stand out as remarkable among the many religions, all you've done is confirm that.
@jihuha1 Besides you haven't answered my question below about the proper constitutional order of a divine Islamic government, specifically why it wouldn't just become like the many dictatorships of the Middle East that claim to be Islamic states. Just pointing to the Koran as the constitutional document isn't enough, because the Koran is mere text, and words require interpretation to make law (many different dictatorships claim the Koran as their foundational legal document).
How would that work then? Allah can't actually tell us. Yeah yeah, I know, he already did, in the Koran right! Except that most people realise Law isn't just some text, like all words it is only given meaning by HUMANS who understand it in a certain way. Governments in the Middle East have tested your wonderful DIVINE government to destruction, but because the Koran is only text every government that claims to be a divine Muslim government is different, except they're all dictatorships.
@Hypertask The Qur'an isn't "just some text": it is the Word of Allah (God), who made Adam (pbuh) in His image and likeness.
Middle Eastern governments have been "tested" by so-called republics and had to defend their basic human rights with no success because their so-called leaders were allies of republics like the United States. They NEVER had a Divine government in Iraq or Iran or even in Libya.
@jihuha1 So your saying there has never been a divine government? Or just none in recent history? It is irrelevent anyway. The Koran is just text, whether or not it was written by a diety is irrelevent, the fact is it cannot constitute law because different Muslims interpret it in different ways. So again I ask you what would a divine government look like? And by the way we have Taliban Afghanistan and Iran as examples of governments that claim divine inspiration while hating the USA.
@jihuha1 You have so far only stated that 'divine government' is an alternative to those presented in this video, however other than pointing to Islam and the Koran you have not even stated what a 'divine government' is. Many governments throughout history have claimed to be based on the Koran, all very different - this is why you need to specify how your divine government operates. Otherwise the term is meaningless. What are its institutions? Who applies the Law? Who leads the gov?
@Hypertask Actually, divinity, depending on your beliefs, is a way of life. It's governing body are a set of laws passed from God (in my case Allah) to man which are meant to define and separate good from evil (right from wrong). Isn't that what any government tries to accomplish? Without such definition there would be chaos in society, therefore to enforce such law there are certain punishments for those who defy the law(s). Allah is seer, knower and doer of all things.
@jihuha1 That's great, but you still haven't described any form of government, long after claiming 'divine government' is a legitimate form. You can say you follow a divine law all you want, but the fact is many other Muslims will interpret that divine law differently from you. You don't seem to have a form of government in mind, all you seemingly meant when you said 'divine government' was: "If only everyone lived and acted like me..." otherwise you would be specific about what it is.
I can't put it more clearly: All mankind will face judgment and only One Being will judge. He'll also be the jury. His Word is the basis by which all people will follow, His Word which is neither amended nor repealed. Mankind's basic rights to life and peace is all the government he'll need. In fact, the American Constitution and British Common Law was fashioned after the Torah of Moses (pbuh).
@jihuha1 I've already gone over much of this, ok his word is not amended or repealed, but AGAIN what about those bits people interpret differently? What about issues his word is silent on? And how does your government actually WORK, how will God perform his executive and judicial roles? Unless you expect God to actually appear down here when summoned, government duties have to be carried out by someone, that is what you haven't yet explained, you don't seem to have a form of government.
@jihuha1 In other words, many states have considered and still do consider a God to be their ultimate head, but whether or not there will be a Judgement Day in the mean time people need to organise with some arrangement, that is a form of government. Start with a basic question: How is an executive leader choosen? Is it hereditary or elective? If you're gonna say, as I expect "God chooses" or "God is the executive leader" then how will that actually work? Will God hire civil servants?
@Hypertask People are on earth to serve God. It appears you expect some governing body you can see and touch, but that's what's wrong with government. Humans are not perfect and their emotions are what makes government corrupt. They let power go to their heads and society winds up with dictators, kings, warlords, and fascists (also dictators) instead of relying on divine authority to set forth law and order. The Catholics have the Pope. The Protestants have Bishops. Muslims have Allah.
@jihuha1 Plenty of people are Muslims but no miraculous divine government has sprung up that has no institutions, no leaders, not even any police or judges. Just the same old dictatorships, some aligned with the West, others antagonistic to it. If you were plonked down in the Middle East and tasked with creating a perfect form of government and you said what you have said to me to the people there, they would reply with: "we do, and we always have". They do want to serve God.
@jihuha1 Think in terms of actual people living somewhere, they will have disputes that need to be dealt with by someone, they will need someone to enforce the law (even God's law). You're just saying 'serve God' 'God leads the government' 'Obey Gods law' it is as if you don't even live in this universe. As if you live in a universe where all Muslims agree on everything and God can be consulted on any petty dispute or disagreement, and enforces his laws with his omnipotence.
@jihuha1 Exactly what? That there are Muslims in the Middle East that have always done what you call 'divine government' and want to serve God? The whole point is that these people live under a variety of forms of government, all of them claiming divine sanction and none of them good. The only way you could really be agreeing with me is by admitting that your divine government is not a government at all, just a feeling you share with others which is compatible with any actual government
@Hypertask Exactly what you said: You don't need paid civil servants to have a government. Just because there's a chaotic situation going on in parts of East Africa, it's because of the "government" that was in power before the crisis. Man-made government need a divine standard in order to function. Just obey God and let the Prophets (pbuta) serve Him. Plus I never "called" anything divine gov't.
Face it: Man isn't perfect, and neither is his "government!"
“Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Sir Winston Churchill There's still time, but the path we're heading down isn't pretty. It's time America wakes up and realizes they're taking their rights and liberties for granted.
the only thing our government needs to do is law enforcement and emergency services. i can take care of myself including my own healthcare. i write this because im having trouble finding a comment that isn't an angry reply to another
@jaimekid2 actaully government does not enslave people, it helps them. Government gives laws. without laws you can do whatever you want and go wild. Government gives currency, setting a proper form of trade. The government refers to its people for guidance (in an ideal world. I am aware that this often doesn't happen). If you want an anarchy it is most likely you will end up dead. Has there ever been a sucessful anarchist government? no. Today's governments ARE sub-par but the concept is pure.
@paulgtmovies " without laws you can do whatever you want and go wild. "
Wait? You mean to tell me that if I think about doing something bad, the government will "stop me" from doing whatever I want and going wild before I do it?
NO!
Government only comes in after you have "gone wild." Other people can defend themselves and their property as they already do. Government just is another version of human force, coming in to harm other humans for rules promulgated by an elite group.
@jaimekid2 The fact is that we have common law because economic incentives give the large majority of people the desire to cooperate by mutual benefit. IT is the consolidation of power, through the use of elitism, which allows certain humans to attain "god-like" status. This is how the original kings and nobles extorted their "mafia-style" fee called "taxes" from the people. They used this stolen money to pay off their guards to control the poor.
@jaimekid2 Today, banking combined with mega-corporations controls governments subversively. The owners of the most elite banking and corporate groups are the true rulers of the world. The people are just managed under government systems for the sake of reaping profits. As long as the human cattle are under some form of government, the international bankers get their money through taxation and inflation banking.
I would say this video says some poignant things,
But at 3:02, the commentator makes an assumption that "anarchy" is a mistake.
He buffers this assumption with a quote, saying "without law, there can be no freedom."
While one can readily point to leaders in defining monarchy or an oligarchy, this presenter has no scientific evidence of an anarchist society, nor science as to why it doesn't work.
It's actually quite silly, because man can act on "common law" without a government.
@jaimekid2 Government, managed at the force of a gun (taxes, any law that is resisted is ultimate met with force from the government), is inherently deadly and dangerous to freedom.
In fact, the concept of limited government, if anything, has been consistently proven as bunk. The American "experiment" being the prime example of failed chains called "the constitution."
The violence of the state is not a necessary evil. Check out Mises and Rothbard for more on that. Their work is scientific.
@jaimekid2 Your making an assumption that without nannys the children will not burn down the house, some people dont want the responsibility,so they need to be governed.
@jaimekid2 Hmm,true that,G.Washington said it best;para:"People should be armed to protect from abuse, even from their own Government".
Although its important to notice the historic similitude to ancient Rome, that our own president refers to america as a "democracy" when our founders specifically wrote in the Federalist papers that "Liberty has never been found in Despotism or the extremes of Democracy"
The question remains, who installs the rules of the law? Who controls them? On what basis can they be changed? If not by majority vote, then by whom or what? Getting billions to vote unamiously would be quite difficult.
Disagree with 2:45. An educated populace can more than provide for themselves with current communications and can live communally. The internet and our technology makes easy for people to collaborate and share. There is no need for "national" governments to represent a huge chunk of land. If I need something from China, I should directly be able to ask the workers involved on behalf of myself. Government will prove itself outdated as people wake up and become smarter. We'll see...
@XSilvenX I could make a dozen points unfortunately youtube has very limited comment space. I've found it largely inadequate for discussion. As a quick example, this video pretends left/right distinctions are entirely irrelevant and though there are different views on how much power gov't should have, questions of what it should have power over are equally valid. In my experience this this is a device used in libertarian/US const. cons. agit prop and the rest of the video confirms this.
You no doubt enjoyed the video and would like to attack the idea that left/right distinctions are important. If you enjoyed the video, I am pleased for you. I found it to be a really bad piece of agit prop and wished to express this view. I have no intention of holding any kind of debate as youtube is an inadequate forum for doing so and I doubt either of us will change our view of the video based on a discussion. Peace and that, Will
@ajmacdonaldjr An important for lesson for those who sit at home on their computers, going to work on the daily thinking they're doing something to better the world :-\
Sir, yes, you are right. It is difficult to accept your comments because they are mere assertions (the Lord is not mentioned in the Bible?) without any argument or evidence. Hard to convince someone with that approach. Let me ask you, - why is it that Christianity is the fastest growing religion in China and its growth is most dramatic among Chinese intellectuals?
@netpropheting we don't all worship something, There almost certainly is no Lord. If there is a Lord, he/she/it is certainly not mentioned in the "holy" book you call the bible. Do you know how the bible came to be what it is? with all the books like genisis and leviticus? Do you know any of it's history? I already know the answer, and I know that the answer won't ever change because you are not interested in the truth and looking that up might shake your faith.
Mr NotDemocracy, I think you are playing fast and loose with your definitions. There are various shades of these political ideologies. Libertarian Socialism is the universally recognized 'Stateless-Socialism' which is the antithesis of your 'total government' scale. This is just way too 2 dimensional.....
Anarchy is lack of imposed societal order, not lack of morals. Anarchy does not legalize murder, injury, rape, threat, theft, or fraud. Morality, the code of human interaction, is maintained by establishing a system of justice to provide an open and accountable court of trial for dispute resolution, victim compensation, and the adjudication of criminals who would then be incarcerated to segragate them from lawful society. Together, anarchy + justice = republic.
Anarcho-capitalism with totally free markets is the only peaceful system with complete self-direction of the individual members. The state is the source of the worst injustices, inhumanities, theft, rape, murder, kidnapping, and torture in the history of the world. The state cannot be reformed, and must be abolished.
The word "anarchy" has been corrupted, much the same as the definition of the words, "democracy," and "inflation" have been warped.
Major roblem with that statement. I never once met a liberal who supports anti-sematism, since by general rule that line of thought is backed most often by extreme religious fundamentalists. Hitler for example was christian and part of the darkest points of christian doctrin is to hate jews because they don't recognize Jesus as their lord and savior. And while there are liberal christians, they more or less reject anti-semaism and much of the more dangrous aspects of their faith.
Creator of this stupid video is a brain dead american idiot same as the negro-jew swine mix in the white house of puppets for the criminal state of israel. America is a terrorist state and was created by jewish freemason banking mafia. Adolf Hitler and Germany free the european countries from jewish banking mafia so the united states has to come and take the europeans back to jewish bankers slavery. England is a jewish whore from 1694 and USA from 1773 when jew swines was aloud a citizenship.
SUPER WELL DONE! Kudos to you as a teacher! Your clarity and the progression of the lesson is so valuable. I hope this goes viral. We need it now. So few people...me included...are taking the time to look at the history and understand the terms that are so widely slung about without really being clear on the meanings.
@RedRiverDreams Yeah. It's a terrifying thought. If you read George Washington's farewell address, he warns that the bipartisan system has the potential to distract us from realizing these dangers that could befall us. Alas, while the only way to solve these problems we have in our country is to put aside our differences and work together, I have a feeling that won't be possible given how fractured and divided we have become over the years.
The underlying cause of this second civil war is nothing less than the very nature of our country and its peoples. There are essentially two types of geopolitical entities -empires and nations- and they're best considered by contrasting each to the other.
Food production will all but cease. The hungry will fight to the death over scraps of garbage. Millions will starve, and millions more will die from infectious diseases. Behold the vision of Civil War II.
And as America breaks up the very concept of multiethnic democracy will likewise be forever shattered. Artillery will blast our cities to flaming wastelands infested with psychotic snipers. Packs of feral dogs will tear at charred corpses hanging out of burnt-out tanks. Long columns of doomed refugees will clog our highways. Bands of guerrillas will stalk about the countryside raping, looting, murdering, clashing with each other
Rather, it is the result of an objective examination of the historic, demographic, political, economic, and military developments that are relentlessly propelling America towards a second civil war. Simply and directly put, America will explode in tribal warfare in our lifetime and shatter into several new ethnically-based nations.
America was born in blood. America suckled on blood. America gorged on blood and grew into a giant, and America will drown in blood. This is the spectre that is haunting America, the spectre of Civil War II, a second civil war that will shatter America into several newethnically-based nations. Many will denounce this truth as racist and as a call to violence. It is neither.
That is why in places like Libya Iraq and most Arab lands, democracy is nothing but horse shit. Humans are tribal and you need either an oligarchy or a republic to make a nation work. Republic is just more subtle and limited than a democracy, but it still needs a majority ethnic group in charge, with the USA it was the white tribe. Now its not so easy, it is so mixed that you can not have a republic working here, so oligarchy of the bankers is in charge. Look at the founders they were white.
We are indeed under the yoke of an Oligarchy rule. When you look around with truly open eyes you see that. This Oligarchy controls the propaganda, food, medical, the air we breath and the sun we receive (Chemtrails). It creates divisions, dissensions and destroys...all to keep itself perpetuating and profiting.
@pitmastery It explained it real well to me. What do you mean nothing to offer going forward? Would you much rather have a world government or world oligarchy?
@jeffman3003 Neither…. The obfuscating confusion lies is in the underlying assumptions and where they depart from our purpose in humanity. If those basic assumptions are not clarified then all this is just shit noise and I’m sorry but this is not the forum to clarify those. That being said thank you for asking as even that is unusual.
Holding up Romans under the emperors like Julius Caesar, Caligula, and Nero as paragon of virtue is ridiculous even before the Caesars took power the country had massive amounts of poverty and huge gaps between the rich and the poor. This is nothing more than revisionist history at its worst. Pompey (who was not an emperor) was just as evil and despotic as his successors like Caligula, Nero, and Tiberius.
the john birch society, do some googling about the society behind this film.
It will be anarchy that in time will be the common state of all people, but it will be utopian anarchy, everyone doing it for the right reasons because everything else is unfair.
Not until you can trust every single person to behave impeccably with the safety of others will it happen.
not for another thousand years unless there is intervention.
@papalolita Another dumb comment. America did not start like this, it deteriorated. All of you idiots who make quick comments criticizing this video are no different than that mob who lynched the guy in that example. You all profess to know the truth and have been so brain washed with the world democracy that you cant find it in you to realize, there is no such thing as democracy, because the mob will always be controlled by the few and hence it degenerates into an oligarchy. The founders knew!
Against democracy you give the example “Suppose the majority decides to take ones home or business or children”. Well, a majority would never decide for this for the simple reason that they would be putting themselves on a situation where later they could lose their own home, business or children. It’s a bias and pathetic example
@81alcom another idiotic comment. He was merely using an exaggeration to get a point across. However with that said it is very easy to see how a democracy can degenerate into an oligarchy, HENCE COMMUNISM. Please take your head out of your ass. Thank you.
Republic fails when you have wall street personal on the government changing the law to their benefit instead of the people. So the law doesn’t defend the people anymore and you are left with just another oligarchy. This oligarchy fears democracy: one person one vote that can take it down and elect a new government that truly represents them
I think we are too late, tha banksters have us by the balls and our govenment open the safe for them. Ron from the USofA one land of dreams and now land of nightmairs.
found this by way of a @bradthor tweet ... something every American, especially those in our public education system (students and teachers alike), needs to watch. It's amazing to me how even the basics aren't taught anymore. To me, it seems quite presumptuous for people to think they know better than our Founding Fathers. We would do well to remind ourselves that progress is only relevant while looking through the lens of history. Otherwise, we risk losing both progress and history.
the laws come from the elites. a republic is no better than any other form in this regards. there are always those who try to control us for a profit..
There are some laws that every one agrees with. Those are the laws that protect our rights. You don't need many of them to accomplish that. The US Constitution demonstrates this well. That constitution has NOT failed. It has been deconstructed. The judiciary has not disallowed the congress its UNCONSTITUTIONAL laws and the executives robosign them. The systemic failure is a reflection of the true majority's knowledge and its will. Ignorance is inaction and the majority exploits itself..
I find it funny how this video assume that you personally have to protect your property and that you personally have to be armed with anarchy as if you cannot voluntarily hire someone to do that for you.
The problem with a representative republic is that it too is an unstable form of government because inevitably the representatives become and Oligarchy, ignoring the wishes of the people, and securing their office perpetually by buying votes using money STOLEN from the producers.
It's time to send the corporate fascists, banksters, and politicans to the gallows and/or the guillotine.
The way the video defines the terms democracy and republic are a bit too restraining. There's no reason you couldn't have a constitutional democracy. What we have now in this country is an Oligarchy of 535 criminal fascists that oppresses the people.
In a constitutional direct democracy, we wouldn't have bankster bailouts, endless overseas military adventures, open borders, foreign aid, or thousands of different taxes.
So if the republic of Rome finished as bad as the other form of government, what is the point? People fool themselves thinking that some perfect form of government can be achieved. The problem resides in the sinful nature of mankind. In theory all forms of government can be good. Communism in theory is perfect. A good king can be a blessing. The problem is that power bring up the worst in mankind. If you think that some day some form of government will bring enduring stability you are naive.
@2betunes You need to grow up and understand the real world. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. You will only realize the folly of your beliefs when it is way too late and they are carting you away to the mass graves where you will be buried... just go back to your OWS pals and get lost!
@alto100 LOL!! I like to face the facts my friend. I'm not the kind of guy that sticks his head in the sand and believe in some kind of fairy tale. You need to grow up not me.Or you may need to grow a pair and face reality . A " form of government " will never change things. NEVER DID and NEVER WILL ! Again history is there for you to research and see how governments deal with their people mid to long term. Grow a pair and face your fears ;) )

CaptainShays 5 days ago
based on how things seems to be run, the government is more accurately an Oligarchy, since lobbyist groups buy politicians so often in order to get there way.
oligarchy: a form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique; government by the few.

@666norton420

The political spectrum presented in this video is all wrong. The person who made this video mixed ideology and form of govenment. For instance, a socialist and communist government can be democratic. The correct political spectrum is "the political compass". Also, this video only advertise the american form of govenment as the only right one.
iKnewt 1 month ago
@iKnewt Democracy always places opinions above justice for the individual. The American experiment was the best and now it's over and America is run by an oligarchy. The video is correct. Yes socialist and communist government can be democratic... I doubt that the man who made the video would disagree with that. Democracy is just mob rule. There is no political spectrum there's just liberty and slavery.
andeeh 1 month ago
@andeeh My point is that the spectrum showed in the video, tells that a communist or socialist government always has total power. But the fact is that in a proper communist state, there is no government. It's the people that run the country, not the powerful few, like history have showed us. And the way the video show democracy, is very strange. I live in the most democratic country in the world (Norway), and everyone have the right for a fair trial.

Ex0dus111 1 month ago
@Ex0dus111 Fascists actually don't like competition and believe the government does a better job of running the economy than individuals, just like most if not all socialists.
MetaKnight964 1 month ago 2
@MetaKnight964 No Fascist LOVE competition, its what their whole ideology is based on. Thats why they have a strong leader at the top, thats the one that won the competition, but they also layer their society in strict competitive hierarchies, making a difference between slave, free man, and citizen and titled citizens up the ladder. Just like Corporations. To keep everyone competing at all times and levels.
Ex0dus111 1 month ago
@Ex0dus111 Education much?.. First, it's not a "representative democracy", it's a representative republic. Democracy is ruled by the majority, a republic is ruled by a constitution. (meaning, many things can not be ruled illegal/legal even if the majority wants it)
Secondly.. what you describe as fascism is a byproduct of capitalism. Competition is not really a bad thing, often it facilitates progress and innovation.
Socialism means equal worth. Historically, equally low worth.

continued ...
Hypertask 1 month ago
I really take issue with this video eliminating the line between oligarchy and dictatorship by claiming dictatorships are really oligarchies. It's true all dictators do rely on their subordinates, but only in the same small way an oligarchy relies on the manipulated masses. Oligarchy is rule of a few who are all more or less equals, a dictatorship occurs when a single individual is far more powerful than any one of his immediate subordinates. This was the case with Stalin, Hitler and Louis XIV.

That's why you have the "Illuminati", to use the poor to feed the rich (and make them more rich).
jihuha1 1 month ago
@jihuha1 well I wont really get into it.. but it's ironic that 3 so called saviors only visited the middle east so long ago forgetting about about Asia, both American continents Australia and the rest of Europe and Africa. gmichaelz 1 month ago
@gmichaelz You're talking about myths (Thor, Zeus, etc.). The people who live where these myths originated are Christians or Muslims today.
jihuha1 1 month ago
@jihuha1 Myths that people once passionately believed in, just like the myths you believe in now. Some religions live, some die. Look around, there are plenty of religions still going today, these myths are different from old Norse and Greek polytheism only because they get respect they don't deserve, whereas no one worries about offending Norse or Greek polytheists (no one criticised Microsoft's Age of Mythology because it made fun of the deeply held beliefs of long dead worshippers!).
Hypertask 1 month ago
@Hypertask What makes you think Islam is a myth?
jihuha1 1 month ago
@jihuha1 Wrong question, you are asserting it is the truth so the burden is on you to prove it isn't a myth. Nothing makes Islam stand out as remarkable among the many beliefs people have held throughout history. It is in the Abrahamic family along with Judaism and Christianity, and as with the other two you can't even really talk about it as a single set of beliefs, since it is itself fractured into a huge number of interpretations. Why do you think it isn't a myth?
Hypertask 1 month ago
@Hypertask I bear witness that there is only One God whose name is Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is his slave and messenger. That's why I KNOW it isn't a myth.
jihuha1 1 month ago
@jihuha1 All you've done is make an assertion, you haven't shown anything. If I were arguing with a Christian he may have done exactly the same thing only with a few of the words changed. He would say he has 'let Jesus into his heart' or something like that and therefore 'KNOWS Christianity isn't a myth'. Like I said before Islam does not stand out as remarkable among the many religions, all you've done is confirm that.
Hypertask 1 month ago
@jihuha1 Besides you haven't answered my question below about the proper constitutional order of a divine Islamic government, specifically why it wouldn't just become like the many dictatorships of the Middle East that claim to be Islamic states. Just pointing to the Koran as the constitutional document isn't enough, because the Koran is mere text, and words require interpretation to make law (many different dictatorships claim the Koran as their foundational legal document).
Hypertask 1 month ago
How would that work then? Allah can't actually tell us. Yeah yeah, I know, he already did, in the Koran right! Except that most people realise Law isn't just some text, like all words it is only given meaning by HUMANS who understand it in a certain way. Governments in the Middle East have tested your wonderful DIVINE government to destruction, but because the Koran is only text every government that claims to be a divine Muslim government is different, except they're all dictatorships.
Hypertask 1 month ago
@Hypertask The Qur'an isn't "just some text": it is the Word of Allah (God), who made Adam (pbuh) in His image and likeness.
Middle Eastern governments have been "tested" by so-called republics and had to defend their basic human rights with no success because their so-called leaders were allies of republics like the United States. They NEVER had a Divine government in Iraq or Iran or even in Libya.
jihuha1 1 month ago
@jihuha1 So your saying there has never been a divine government? Or just none in recent history? It is irrelevent anyway. The Koran is just text, whether or not it was written by a diety is irrelevent, the fact is it cannot constitute law because different Muslims interpret it in different ways. So again I ask you what would a divine government look like? And by the way we have Taliban Afghanistan and Iran as examples of governments that claim divine inspiration while hating the USA.
Hypertask 1 month ago
@jihuha1 You have so far only stated that 'divine government' is an alternative to those presented in this video, however other than pointing to Islam and the Koran you have not even stated what a 'divine government' is. Many governments throughout history have claimed to be based on the Koran, all very different - this is why you need to specify how your divine government operates. Otherwise the term is meaningless. What are its institutions? Who applies the Law? Who leads the gov?
Hypertask 1 month ago
@Hypertask Actually, divinity, depending on your beliefs, is a way of life. It's governing body are a set of laws passed from God (in my case Allah) to man which are meant to define and separate good from evil (right from wrong). Isn't that what any government tries to accomplish? Without such definition there would be chaos in society, therefore to enforce such law there are certain punishments for those who defy the law(s). Allah is seer, knower and doer of all things.
jihuha1 1 month ago
@jihuha1 That's great, but you still haven't described any form of government, long after claiming 'divine government' is a legitimate form. You can say you follow a divine law all you want, but the fact is many other Muslims will interpret that divine law differently from you. You don't seem to have a form of government in mind, all you seemingly meant when you said 'divine government' was: "If only everyone lived and acted like me..." otherwise you would be specific about what it is.
Hypertask 1 month ago
@Hypertask OK, here it is:
Head of Union: GOD
Legislative Branch: GOD
Judicial Branch: GOD
I can't put it more clearly: All mankind will face judgment and only One Being will judge. He'll also be the jury. His Word is the basis by which all people will follow, His Word which is neither amended nor repealed. Mankind's basic rights to life and peace is all the government he'll need. In fact, the American Constitution and British Common Law was fashioned after the Torah of Moses (pbuh).
jihuha1 1 month ago
@jihuha1 I've already gone over much of this, ok his word is not amended or repealed, but AGAIN what about those bits people interpret differently? What about issues his word is silent on? And how does your government actually WORK, how will God perform his executive and judicial roles? Unless you expect God to actually appear down here when summoned, government duties have to be carried out by someone, that is what you haven't yet explained, you don't seem to have a form of government.
Hypertask 1 month ago
@jihuha1 In other words, many states have considered and still do consider a God to be their ultimate head, but whether or not there will be a Judgement Day in the mean time people need to organise with some arrangement, that is a form of government. Start with a basic question: How is an executive leader choosen? Is it hereditary or elective? If you're gonna say, as I expect "God chooses" or "God is the executive leader" then how will that actually work? Will God hire civil servants?
Hypertask 1 month ago
@Hypertask People are on earth to serve God. It appears you expect some governing body you can see and touch, but that's what's wrong with government. Humans are not perfect and their emotions are what makes government corrupt. They let power go to their heads and society winds up with dictators, kings, warlords, and fascists (also dictators) instead of relying on divine authority to set forth law and order. The Catholics have the Pope. The Protestants have Bishops. Muslims have Allah.
jihuha1 1 month ago
@jihuha1 Plenty of people are Muslims but no miraculous divine government has sprung up that has no institutions, no leaders, not even any police or judges. Just the same old dictatorships, some aligned with the West, others antagonistic to it. If you were plonked down in the Middle East and tasked with creating a perfect form of government and you said what you have said to me to the people there, they would reply with: "we do, and we always have". They do want to serve God.
Hypertask 1 month ago
@jihuha1 Think in terms of actual people living somewhere, they will have disputes that need to be dealt with by someone, they will need someone to enforce the law (even God's law). You're just saying 'serve God' 'God leads the government' 'Obey Gods law' it is as if you don't even live in this universe. As if you live in a universe where all Muslims agree on everything and God can be consulted on any petty dispute or disagreement, and enforces his laws with his omnipotence.
Hypertask 1 month ago
@Hypertask Exactly.
jihuha1 1 month ago
@jihuha1 Exactly what? That there are Muslims in the Middle East that have always done what you call 'divine government' and want to serve God? The whole point is that these people live under a variety of forms of government, all of them claiming divine sanction and none of them good. The only way you could really be agreeing with me is by admitting that your divine government is not a government at all, just a feeling you share with others which is compatible with any actual government
Hypertask 1 month ago
@Hypertask Exactly what you said: You don't need paid civil servants to have a government. Just because there's a chaotic situation going on in parts of East Africa, it's because of the "government" that was in power before the crisis. Man-made government need a divine standard in order to function. Just obey God and let the Prophets (pbuta) serve Him. Plus I never "called" anything divine gov't.
Face it: Man isn't perfect, and neither is his "government!"

The whole concept of government is that the few elite rule the rest of humanity, and they are the arbiters of freedom.
Government is a plantation, and the laws enacted are rules for the slaves and serfs.
The slave masters just claim that they are "giving" you freedom.
The reality is that there are many masters and they want better produce, so expanding the farm gives them better milk and meat.

Has there ever been a sucessful anarchist government? no. Today's governments ARE sub-par but the concept is pure.
paulgtmovies 2 months ago
@paulgtmovies " without laws you can do whatever you want and go wild. "
Wait? You mean to tell me that if I think about doing something bad, the government will "stop me" from doing whatever I want and going wild before I do it?
NO!
Government only comes in after you have "gone wild." Other people can defend themselves and their property as they already do. Government just is another version of human force, coming in to harm other humans for rules promulgated by an elite group.
jaimekid2 1 month ago
@jaimekid2 The fact is that we have common law because economic incentives give the large majority of people the desire to cooperate by mutual benefit. IT is the consolidation of power, through the use of elitism, which allows certain humans to attain "god-like" status. This is how the original kings and nobles extorted their "mafia-style" fee called "taxes" from the people. They used this stolen money to pay off their guards to control the poor.
jaimekid2 1 month ago
@jaimekid2 Today, banking combined with mega-corporations controls governments subversively. The owners of the most elite banking and corporate groups are the true rulers of the world. The people are just managed under government systems for the sake of reaping profits. As long as the human cattle are under some form of government, the international bankers get their money through taxation and inflation banking.
jaimekid2 1 month ago
I would say this video says some poignant things,
But at 3:02, the commentator makes an assumption that "anarchy" is a mistake.
He buffers this assumption with a quote, saying "without law, there can be no freedom."
While one can readily point to leaders in defining monarchy or an oligarchy, this presenter has no scientific evidence of an anarchist society, nor science as to why it doesn't work.
It's actually quite silly, because man can act on "common law" without a government.
jaimekid2 2 months ago
@jaimekid2 Government, managed at the force of a gun (taxes, any law that is resisted is ultimate met with force from the government), is inherently deadly and dangerous to freedom.
In fact, the concept of limited government, if anything, has been consistently proven as bunk. The American "experiment" being the prime example of failed chains called "the constitution."
The violence of the state is not a necessary evil. Check out Mises and Rothbard for more on that. Their work is scientific.

Left alone? Hardly. The only reason those people aren't dead is because the AMERICAN GOVERNMENT DISARMS ITS OWN PEOPLE!

@hess6wi Nice conclusion and I especially love the part where you support your assertion with more than one line of text.
XSilvenX 2 months ago

Sir, yes, you are right. It is difficult to accept your comments because they are mere assertions (the Lord is not mentioned in the Bible?) without any argument or evidence. Hard to convince someone with that approach. Let me ask you, - why is it that Christianity is the fastest growing religion in China and its growth is most dramatic among Chinese intellectuals?
netpropheting 2 months ago

WhyMeMoFo 2 months ago

@RedRiverDreams Yeah. It's a terrifying thought. If you read George Washington's farewell address, he warns that the bipartisan system has the potential to distract us from realizing these dangers that could befall us. Alas, while the only way to solve these problems we have in our country is to put aside our differences and work together, I have a feeling that won't be possible given how fractured and divided we have become over the years.

jeffman3003 3 months ago
The underlying cause of this second civil war is nothing less than the very nature of our country and its peoples. There are essentially two types of geopolitical entities -empires and nations- and they're best considered by contrasting each to the other.
jeffman3003 3 months ago
Food production will all but cease. The hungry will fight to the death over scraps of garbage. Millions will starve, and millions more will die from infectious diseases. Behold the vision of Civil War II.
jeffman3003 3 months ago
And as America breaks up the very concept of multiethnic democracy will likewise be forever shattered. Artillery will blast our cities to flaming wastelands infested with psychotic snipers. Packs of feral dogs will tear at charred corpses hanging out of burnt-out tanks. Long columns of doomed refugees will clog our highways. Bands of guerrillas will stalk about the countryside raping, looting, murdering, clashing with each other
jeffman3003 3 months ago
Rather, it is the result of an objective examination of the historic, demographic, political, economic, and military developments that are relentlessly propelling America towards a second civil war. Simply and directly put, America will explode in tribal warfare in our lifetime and shatter into several new ethnically-based nations.
jeffman3003 3 months ago
America was born in blood. America suckled on blood. America gorged on blood and grew into a giant, and America will drown in blood. This is the spectre that is haunting America, the spectre of Civil War II, a second civil war that will shatter America into several newethnically-based nations. Many will denounce this truth as racist and as a call to violence. It is neither.
jeffman3003 3 months ago
That is why in places like Libya Iraq and most Arab lands, democracy is nothing but horse shit. Humans are tribal and you need either an oligarchy or a republic to make a nation work. Republic is just more subtle and limited than a democracy, but it still needs a majority ethnic group in charge, with the USA it was the white tribe. Now its not so easy, it is so mixed that you can not have a republic working here, so oligarchy of the bankers is in charge. Look at the founders they were white.

Against democracy you give the example “Suppose the majority decides to take ones home or business or children”. Well, a majority would never decide for this for the simple reason that they would be putting themselves on a situation where later they could lose their own home, business or children. It’s a bias and pathetic example
81alcom 3 months ago
@81alcom another idiotic comment. He was merely using an exaggeration to get a point across. However with that said it is very easy to see how a democracy can degenerate into an oligarchy, HENCE COMMUNISM. Please take your head out of your ass. Thank you.
jeffman3003 3 months ago
Republic fails when you have wall street personal on the government changing the law to their benefit instead of the people. So the law doesn’t defend the people anymore and you are left with just another oligarchy. This oligarchy fears democracy: one person one vote that can take it down and elect a new government that truly represents them

found this by way of a @bradthor tweet ... something every American, especially those in our public education system (students and teachers alike), needs to watch.

Tamoharadasa 3 months ago
There are some laws that every one agrees with. Those are the laws that protect our rights. You don't need many of them to accomplish that. The US Constitution demonstrates this well. That constitution has NOT failed. It has been deconstructed. The judiciary has not disallowed the congress its UNCONSTITUTIONAL laws and the executives robosign them. The systemic failure is a reflection of the true majority's knowledge and its will. Ignorance is inaction and the majority exploits itself..

I find it funny how this video assume that you personally have to protect your property and that you personally have to be armed with anarchy as if you cannot voluntarily hire someone to do that for you.
remyroyster 3 months ago
The problem with a representative republic is that it too is an unstable form of government because inevitably the representatives become and Oligarchy, ignoring the wishes of the people, and securing their office perpetually by buying votes using money STOLEN from the producers.
It's time to send the corporate fascists, banksters, and politicans to the gallows and/or the guillotine.
fubecabr 3 months ago
The way the video defines the terms democracy and republic are a bit too restraining. There's no reason you couldn't have a constitutional democracy. What we have now in this country is an Oligarchy of 535 criminal fascists that oppresses the people.
In a constitutional direct democracy, we wouldn't have bankster bailouts, endless overseas military adventures, open borders, foreign aid, or thousands of different taxes.
fubecabr 3 months ago
So if the republic of Rome finished as bad as the other form of government, what is the point? People fool themselves thinking that some perfect form of government can be achieved. The problem resides in the sinful nature of mankind. In theory all forms of government can be good. Communism in theory is perfect. A good king can be a blessing. The problem is that power bring up the worst in mankind. If you think that some day some form of government will bring enduring stability you are naive.
