Google "Muttukadu Backwaters, SH 49, Muttukadu, Tamil Nadu, India". The sandbank appears just few meters south of the river mouth.

The location is near the village called Kovalam and the backwater is called Muttukadu River. Fishing took place on a sandbank just few meters south of the river mouth.
