  • Kudos to the conductor for his keen involvement! I loved seeing Michael Güttler from 9:26 to 9:30 first swiveled to rivet his total self on the singers for perfect timing, then turned back to the orchestra and while conducting them jumped into the air and back down! Check it out, fellow auditors!

    I will be following him now too, as well as Anna Netrebko.

  • Rolando Villazon's voice is very strong and he hits the masculine dark notes well. But overall he sounds so much more strained than the effortless Roberto Alagna.

    WHO WERE Netrebko's other two Romeos? I have got to know, and I missed hearing their names on today's FM opera show!
