But first, I'd have to abduct a creature from another planet and drop it onto the moon to see if it's inhabitable. If not, changes can be made!And if you cant colonize other planets.. I'll be angry! >:(

no but the people ant maxis say that they are going to release a creature editor a few months before the actual game. this is probably because they want lots of player content when the game ships.
it is not evolution, as evolution is small changes, this deals with large changes intelligently designed by the player, genetic changes that couldn't happen within 200 generations, let alone one, but in the end it is a totally interactive game
actually you'll find that without selection pressures it isn't really evolution at all, but it does capture the idea of gradual change rather than sudden creation. still going to be one awesome game
'NO it deals with small changes in order to survive. If the small changes do not work you die off. Thats what Evolution is all about.
Its small changes to better survive in your environment. Intelligent design is poof your man! No need to advance any to survive your already and always will be the same.

Of course the player designs everything, otherwise the game would be much less interactive and less fun to play.
The game is however clearly based on the idea of gradual development without the need of a guiding hand, i.e. evolution.
