This is not a group of drunks from a bar that decided to go drill for oil. If we didn't use oil and products made from oil, they would not be out there drilling. Whether you believe it or not, the best experts in the business were and are working on the problem.
Bottom line, if you didn't want it, they would not drill.
I was planning on sailing to horn island this summer until BP decided to continue operating an oil rig despite numerous saftey issues. I cannot believe those dirty no good son of a bitches ruined our gulf. They had no buisiness operating a rig in our waters without having a clue to how to respond in case of an accident. The fed gov is no better from allowing these rigs to continue to operate in unsafe conditions and without the proper tech to stop an oil leak 5000ft below.
Thanks @warspite2, good think you don't use any thing that requires oil in in anyway for production to distribution. Also good thing you dont use electricity or wear clothes. Good thing you are one of those antidriiling in Alaska or on the shallow coast. If you were any of these things, the oil spill would be your fault. Good thing you live in the forest without any modern comforts. PS, how did you manage to post you comment without using oil related item or energy?
@Swandriver Have you watched the news and are aware of what is going on? You think this is about using oil and energy? Seriously man I wonder if you even read what I had wrote there.
you could still make good time with winds at your starbrd beam...you seem to have good wind if you could just trim a little...I hate motoring and I know that god forsaken sound more than i wish to admit.

Hi, thanks for viewing.
I was on motor because I had a 1/2 mile run to go around the island then turn north for a 12 mile run directly into a 10 kt wind.
I too motor as little as necessary, but when necessary.
