Doesn't the rain burn off that paint on the "coal" side since it gets so hot on that side....so it kinda "boils" the paint away? I know it is heat proof paint...but that cold water shock has got to be ruff :-) I'd hang a small tarp over the "Hot Box". NICE SMOKER
yeah this happened to me before, had a bbq and planned for everyone to be outside while I grilled. I grilled and everyone was inside while I was getting soaked off and on lol

thats how we bbq in seattle when were camping, in the rain with tarps, smoked meats are worth it!!
