this video brings back memories...wow. i used to be a regular at quiet waters back then, it was awsome, i don't go there as regular now but there has been alot done to the trails and it's getting back to where it used to be...
It actually rides very nice now. Pretty much as before as far as twisting and turning. Elevation changes except for the big hill, and has some wooden structures now.
Its a good trail again. The lack of trees makes it seem more tame because you can see the entire trail where before you couldn't see what was coming up.
Once the trees grow in, I think it will be better than before. Need more volunteers. Remember Markham was once 4 miles of sloppy mud and that was it.
We are rebuilding the trail. Club Mud needs your help! The trail is soon to reopen but we will be building and improving it for months/years to come. Join the fun of building and riding.
I remember during Wilma hearing the sound of a freight train. Come to find out the next day that there were tornados hitting the park. I loved this trail and spend a lot of time maintaining it as well. Now I live in Boulder, Colorado where cycling is part of life.
used to hit this trail over 7 years ago, loved some great technical areas in the middle... man I miss it and I live in cali now... used to blast huge air towards the end where that little ravine drop is.
Miss this old trails...specially the big hill..funny watching people climbing it who didn't knew that hill existed..
