I have bookmarked this video. Whenever I need a lift, I pull it up - sheer joy. Emily is an outstanding instrumentalist, and she really shows it here. And I love seeing the connection, the affection between Amy and Emily. Just a great moment, with thanks to the person who captured it.
My heart will always be with acoustic IG but I do just love seeing Emily cut loose and go crazy on a solo, any solo, but electric is just amazing. Her raw musicianship seems to have taken a massive leap forward in the last 3-4 years. She was always really good but it is like she has given herself permission and I love it so much.
Emily is a bad ass for sure. She was born with a guitar in her hand and is one of the best players of the last 20 years. She ROCKS. The hobo outfit aint so grand. heh.
Blown away!!! I always KNEW she had it in her but her church mouse upbringing kept her from letting it out! Way to go. And for me one of the best things is that there is no antimosity between the girls ever. Emily pops on stage during Amys show and takes center mic Amy retreats to the back after handing off HER guitar to her IG partner and just goes on buisness as usual. It was fun to watch the silent comunication between the 2 as the tune closed. Consumate professionals and great fun.

Emily is one of the most under-rated guitar players there is. Having seen her kick-ass in almost 20 years of seeing IG concerts, she has been in my top 5 for years. Amy's no slacker either, she just usually sticks to playing rhythm.

That was just TOO fucking cool. Jeez...they just keep doing the next right thing musically and basically give the finger to the "industry". I hope they get rich beyond their wildest dreams. If I had to chose between them and people like Jeff Skilling for my kids to emulate...it would these honest hard-core lesbians...HANDS DOWN!!!
Best 3:11 mintues of my life! lol. Both Indigo Girls rocking out! So cool. If only they did this at EVERY show lol. Think its nice they embraced at the end i dont think they've ever show that much friendly public affection in their whole careers.
