  • I love this boogie woogie piano. There's Britsh kid aged ten that is great at this and also a classical composer. Check out Shane Thomas Fire and Water.

  • oh and he plays the piano

  • my dads ben waters, the big fat one with the purple tee

  • it's just magic I listen at least once a month and 1 time ain't enough

  • ♪♫♪♫ boogie woogie ♪♫♪♫

  • Excellent. As to Mr Watts who received a lot of comments, I wd say extremely classy !

  • Sounds like 88 fingers playing the piano.

  • excellent music track, why can't music today be like this

  • hee hee my dads in that band, not kidding

  • Charlie Wattson drums , and three on piano playing boogie woggie -----

  • Charlie Watts is one of THE great drummers of the world, no flashy kit, over the top expressions just pure QUALITY every time long may he continue.

  • Sorry; just looks like an old peoples' home jamming session

  • class ;

  • hello all, i was just wondering if anyone could help me out; what scale can i use to improvise boogie woogie? I just passed my grade 7 piano exam, so i am familiar with musical terms eccetra. Thanks (:

  • @MrEdwards01 the blues scales are used a lot, they are slight variations on the pentatonics

  • well, i had an opinion a year ago. and a year on, people are still scrolling through the comments just to see if anyone disagrees with them- how sad

  • Such a fantastic, energetic piece of work.

  • ENJOY THE MUSIC STOP ARGUEING

  • C'mon, Charlie is loving this

  • @Lester1Beck My dear Lester ~ Let me take you by the hand and explain "manners"

    .

1: I'm not a junkie but allow others to be. 2: I am gay and resent bullies who use the word "fag", followed by the word "shit" when describing the world greatest rock band... the Stones! 3: As for "your closet", my experience has taught me that homophobic bullies who protest the most do indeed protest too much and are likely gay themselves but "in the closet". Now, kindly boogie on, in peace! OK?. "))

  • @Lester1Beck ~ Not only were you a rude & homophobic closet case... you don't spell very well either!!! That reveals more than I have already gotten to know about you. Thanks however, for giving me the last word! btw... Jagger might have indulged in a drug or two but nobody in the world beside you has ever refered to him or the Rolling Stones as "Talentless"! Gee-wizz! ~

Try to have an open mind for the rest of your life, Lester!

May Peace and rainbows to brighten your closet!

  • @Lester1Beck Ya see, Lester... you're at it again! Using the word "peado".

I assume you mean "pedophile"? You're a bit of a bully with a lot of attitude and hatred towards gays. It's 2010 and we have overcome with pride. Get used to it and mellow out. Enjoy the boogies and soften your vocabulary and especially your homophobic comments. They hurt and do you no good. Thanks for reading.

  • @Lester1Beck The word "gay" was not called for and it offended me. I bristled at your homophic comment. If you don't like gays or drugs for that matter, its entirely up to you but try to control your adjectives. It really distracts one from enjoying our main purpose which is to seek and find great boogie woogie players and enjoy them just the way they are. Thanks though for responding. Hope you understand. ~ PS ~ I have at least 2 rainbow colored cells... not grey! lol

  • @Lester1Beck "...drugged up GAY shit? Such comments are offensive and intrusive to my enjoyment of this free concert. Here's your refund!

Lester, YOU most obviously suck... like most homophobes (but, in the closet?)

  • dont miss that beat

  • Having Charlie Watts as a drummer for Boogie-Woogie, it is more than perfect!!

  • @RJrumguy Charlie watts loves his Jazz, he is not bored by any chance. You do know that he is drummer with the Rolling Stones don't you?

  • How do these guys do it and make it look so easy?

    Thanks for sharing!

    Brilliant!!

  • Nice boogie woogie, lots of people don't know that Charlie is into jazz also.

  • VERY GOODDDDDDD FEELING GOODDDDDDDDDDDDD MAGIQUE ! VOUS CONNAISSEZ CHARLIE WATTS ( stones) JOOLS, excellent pianiste jazzman, du bon du pur a deguster a toute heure hummmmmmmmmmmmm ...

  • Drum guy... you're not.

Charlie Watts, Rolling Stones. He's smiling his arse off!

  • And, of course, Ben Waters and Axel Zwingenberger on the piano alongside Jools Holland.

  • Thanks for posting, great vid.

  • poor charlie watts , he was a pioneer in drumming back in his day, but now it just seems like he's soo stiff and he has no feel, but he's still a legend.

  • @MrPocketGroover Charlie Watts "has no feel"? You obviously don't know what you're talking about!

  • Ah, the old piano swopping trick... what?

  • if you want to be better as a rolling stone, do this...

  • GREAT!!!

  • That's Charlie Watts the ROLLING STONES drummer The guy I showed how to do a

two stroke roll fifty years ago!! Rememebr Charlie ? You played at Leeds for 15 Quid !!

"Smudge" Smith drummer The Dingos watch Kansas City on You Tube by the Dingos !!!!! More at "Bradfords Rock N Roll" on Amazon

  • Class act!! Real music, played by true greats!!!! I could watch and listen to this over and over again.

  • Great Stuff

  • so, I'm absolutely convinced that I've heard a version of this song by jools and his orchestra, and in my head i keep hearing the line 'blow that horn babe, blow it clear and loud.....blow that horn til we draw a crowd' or something like that - anybody know what I'm talking about? It's just so familiar, I know that boogie involves repeating the same patterns, but still, I feel like I've heard this exact song before....any ideas?x

  • All jazz/blues musicians use the same licks time and time again. It's impossible to come up with decent complete improvisation ;)

  • yeah that tunes called Sally Suzzas

  • AMAZING!!!!

  • Fabulous.

  • one of the best boogie woogie vids on youtube

  • Charlie Watts plays so well. I`ve heard he only performs with The Stones so he can do the music he likes.

He makes it look so easy as do the pianists. I wish it was.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • just 3 blokes having a great time ,playing fantastic music ,awsome !

  • This was just awesome! One of the best boogie-woogie piano videos on Youtube!!!

  • Thanks so much for posting. Some of the best boogie woogie piano I have ever heard. Unbelievable.

  • Listen to the bass at 1:42. What's the guy doing?

  • @widdyhabb i like it. sounds cool

  • made me smile. btw...charlie was the only rolling stone i've ever liked. :)

  • Can it get any better than this? I think not!

  • I never get the thing about Watts looking bored. To me he looks happy and absorbed by the music, just not demonstrative. What's he supposed to look like, Animal from the Muppet Show?

  • i love charlie watts expression as he plays

  • boogie woogie piano played live of TV! a rare event indeed! hope I live long enough to see a similar event again!

  • That's THE Charlie Watts who played in front of 1.5 million people in Brazil (in one show)...and still had that same deadpan face. As Charlie has said in the past, "People think I look bored when I'm playing. I'm not. I just have a boring face". He even had the deadpan look when he said that....amazing drummer...and man.

  • Looking forward to seeing posting of 29th Sept programme. Two more Ben Water numbers I thing.

    What a blast.

And wot'dya pay a star like Charlie to sit in on your band?

    Great stuff

  • Actually, playing in this band is Mr. Watts hobby. I think he does this for free.

  • WOW!!! FANTASTIC!!!

reminds me of teacher and student piano side by side but SO MUCH MORE

  • yea, i know who he is...

  • i think thats ben waters to, hes superb, even if putting a few pounds on, seen these guys many time perform, without jools however

  • Charlie Watts he's a god

  • Esos SI que son CAPOS TOTALES!!!!!

  • that drummer looks so bored, you'd think that, if it was his band, then why hasn't he got a better part??? the piano's fantastic though!!!

  • 'That drummer' is Charlie Watts! ... and he's the best ever

  • Thats only Charlie Watts, the drummer for the Rolling Stones. Think you need to brush up on your musical history a bit more!!!

  • Charlie's had that deadpan expression for forty years. Just his way. He must enjoy playing or he wouldn't still be doing it. :)

  • @ElementaryZingu - Spot on, look at Charlie on 1:22 thats him positively grinning.

  • @RJdrumguy 'That drummer" is the drummer of the rolling stones....

  • @RJdrumguy you have no idea about music man!!!

  • @RJdrumguy ye he's spent his carer playing with the rolling stones and always looked more or less like that i'm sure he's loving it

  • I love this type of music! That was fantastic! , Thanks for posting this video. Bendigedig!
