I love this boogie woogie piano. There's Britsh kid aged ten that is great at this and also a classical composer. Check out Shane Thomas Fire and Water.
hello all, i was just wondering if anyone could help me out; what scale can i use to improvise boogie woogie? I just passed my grade 7 piano exam, so i am familiar with musical terms eccetra. Thanks (:

@Lester1Beck My dear Lester ~ Let me take you by the hand and explain "manners"
.
1: I'm not a junkie but allow others to be. 2: I am gay and resent bullies who use the word "fag", followed by the word "shit" when describing the world greatest rock band... the Stones! 3: As for "your closet", my experience has taught me that homophobic bullies who protest the most do indeed protest too much and are likely gay themselves but "in the closet". Now, kindly boogie on, in peace! OK?. "))
@Lester1Beck ~ Not only were you a rude & homophobic closet case... you don't spell very well either!!! That reveals more than I have already gotten to know about you. Thanks however, for giving me the last word! btw... Jagger might have indulged in a drug or two but nobody in the world beside you has ever refered to him or the Rolling Stones as "Talentless"! Gee-wizz! ~
Try to have an open mind for the rest of your life, Lester!
@Lester1Beck Ya see, Lester... you're at it again! Using the word "peado".
I assume you mean "pedophile"? You're a bit of a bully with a lot of attitude and hatred towards gays. It's 2010 and we have overcome with pride. Get used to it and mellow out. Enjoy the boogies and soften your vocabulary and especially your homophobic comments. They hurt and do you no good. Thanks for reading.
@Lester1Beck The word "gay" was not called for and it offended me. I bristled at your homophic comment. If you don't like gays or drugs for that matter, its entirely up to you but try to control your adjectives. It really distracts one from enjoying our main purpose which is to seek and find great boogie woogie players and enjoy them just the way they are. Thanks though for responding. Hope you understand. ~ PS ~ I have at least 2 rainbow colored cells... not grey! lol
VERY GOODDDDDDD FEELING GOODDDDDDDDDDDDD MAGIQUE ! VOUS CONNAISSEZ CHARLIE WATTS ( stones) JOOLS, excellent pianiste jazzman, du bon du pur a deguster a toute heure hummmmmmmmmmmmm ...
poor charlie watts , he was a pioneer in drumming back in his day, but now it just seems like he's soo stiff and he has no feel, but he's still a legend.
so, I'm absolutely convinced that I've heard a version of this song by jools and his orchestra, and in my head i keep hearing the line 'blow that horn babe, blow it clear and loud.....blow that horn til we draw a crowd' or something like that - anybody know what I'm talking about? It's just so familiar, I know that boogie involves repeating the same patterns, but still, I feel like I've heard this exact song before....any ideas?x
I never get the thing about Watts looking bored. To me he looks happy and absorbed by the music, just not demonstrative. What's he supposed to look like, Animal from the Muppet Show?
That's THE Charlie Watts who played in front of 1.5 million people in Brazil (in one show)...and still had that same deadpan face. As Charlie has said in the past, "People think I look bored when I'm playing. I'm not. I just have a boring face". He even had the deadpan look when he said that....amazing drummer...and man.
