Hi I was curious to see if you would answer this for me. I study American Kenpo and I was wondering what the differences are between Kenpo and Kempo? It would be great if you answer this thanks.
Wow, this was great, the form of both the white belt and black belt was very elegant, a had great form. This Kempo is much different than my Shorinji Kempo.Please, check out my video oh me preforming a few of our katas.
ahahahaah thats a great way of saying "look at me im a dousche" while knowing i spelled that wrong aswell. and in ne case these are watered down remnents of forms and techniques that is true kenpo. even ed parker him self admits its less then 10% kenpo his art. my sijo trained in the same class and the had knowledge of eachother ed parker wasnt even suppose to teach but w.e. u do wat u want i the usa.
Names tend to change in spelling over time and through migration to different areas. It's an inevitable fate for every language and system of phonetics.
Embrace it and stop calling people names over something so trivial.
@TheApatheticGuy Good call! Actually, the word "Kenpo" is proper spelling, but in the translation from kanji to english its pronounced "Kempo" (NPO is pronounced MPO). It is used both ways, "Kempo" being the phonetic spelling. Many old schools and teachers use "Kempo" like our school. More modern schools, like American Kenpo, Tracy Kenpo, etc, use the more modern spelling. Both are right, no one is "stupid" for using either! Look it up and get your facts straight before you speak 516488faith.

Vai do gosto de cada um. Respeito mas admito que PARA MIM arte marcial seja qual for, tem de ser eficaz numa luta real. Acrobacias são boas para filmes. De que vale practicar uma arte marcial com golpes que não aplicam quando lutam?! 95% videos luta de "artes tradicionais" é quase Kick/Muay Thai LOL

Anderson Silva,Cung Le,Fedor Emelianenko, Alistair Overeem,Lyoto Machida,Brock Lesnar,Rampage Jackson,Wanderlei Silva,Cris Cyborg, ETC. Todos sabem de chão. O JJB revolucionou a luta e o desporto é um facto. Mas hoje em dia é mais uma ferramenta no arsenal, mas não o principal. Vejam os campeões actuais..Strikers ou Wrestlers!
Para os que falam do jiu jitsu isto e aquilo....a fama dos gracie foi contruída numa época em que Ninguém sabia lutar no chão!! Hoje tem-se o Kajukenbo (bem melhor que kempo LOL) ..Krav Maga...Jeet Kune DO que incorporaram luta de chão...embora breve...treina-se. Na rua não aconselho ninguém a estar muito tempo no chão....amigos do nosso atacante podem nos pontapear facilmente. E mesmo num um para um...ok bora para o chão que eu mordo, enfio dedos nos olhos, puxo cabelos, cotoveladas na cabeça!
@dagadi21 porque fica td mundo nessa de minha arte marcial é melhor?! não perceberam q não depende da arte e sim do lutador.... agora falando tecnicamente (ou tentando) nunca entendi esses movimentos desnecessários em algumas artes marciais, katis, katas ou seja lá o q for
@jpter3 bom, não pratico kempo, e nem pretendo, luto Jiu e acho q NA RUA estamos em desvategem por lutarmos no solo... isso sim é fato.... seres humanos tem mais mobilidade em pé do que no chão
