If you think about it, Mephiles is kind of a coward.

1) Only kills Sonic (from behind, of all places) after Silver fails to do so on his orders twice

2) Hides in Shadow's shadow (the irony was probably intended) during their first battle and

3) conceals himself in darkness/shadow/whatever that stuff was during their second, not to mention...

4) he siccs his 'minions' on Shadow rather than fight him mano a mano AND proceeds to flee Shadow in the second battle when Shadow activates Chaos Boost.

With all the "hedgehogs" in the Sonic games, I won't be surprised if I see Scourge being the next nuisance. They should get other characters involved. That Chronicles rpg was a good start. Sadly, we need a Sonic game to where Sonic really the only one who becomes Super. Shadow the Hedgehog was a good start. I guess when Sonic gets his fame back, SEGA would experiment on the other characters.

@Classixish Mephiles was part of Solaris, as is Iblis.

Further in the game you will have to use the chaos emeralds to venture in the past with Shadow (if you are playing as Silver) or Silver (if you are playing as Shadow). After completing the level a cinematic will begin showing Shadow sealing Mephiles with the Scepter. As he is being sealed Mephiles tells shadow that he will remember his shape and form. (Explaining why Mephiles takes on Shadow's appearance when the seal was broken.)

I think Sonic 06 was okay cause there was actually a death scene played of the americans usually it's cut out by sega cause they think we are to soft to handle anything heh I didn't even cry when Sonic hit the ground I was just like : OH NO SONIC!!!!
