Bravo. As a student of italian literature, I have read the entire "Decameron." However, the stories (novelle) deal with more than just sex. They also provide an insight to the humanist culture of the time. They talk about: Fate, fortune/luck, love, the merchant class, the church, intelligence, virtue, and nature. Boccaccio's novelle are considered the "human" commedy because they show the nature of man. Thanks for the video! Greetings from Italy!
You want me to make your wife a horse ? With a tail or without a tail ?
Epic book really made rofl on every single novelle :D I hope i said this right in your language since my native is not English. Its just a joke comment dont be offended by it,
Many are died for give the democracy to us but we have made ourselves to steal from the massoni, bankers that they have made"11-09"if a giambo account has been disintegrated the Pentagon, only making a hole of 3 mt in which military airport it is landed and who has eaten the passengers? All governments and religions have betrayed! Why the threat to the people has been so comprehensive!React with a meeting universal prayer every Monday from20 to 21,because if God has many religions is always One
2. I'm gonna try to read the first part this weekend.
3. Boccaccoio's Tales were always popular because of their racy nature. If I'm not mistaken, Playboy used to have a page of these tales in the magazine every month. I've heard that this page appeared immediately after the centerfold, but I could not certify this from experience. (Um...memory being what it is...)
Thank you for this. That was an excellent introduction to the book. Looks like we have a couple more people interested in contributing, so we will hear from them as soon as they get into their reading. I will make at least one more video about this book.
If the remaining 99 Novels could be submitted as a response to your video it would be fantastic. Anyone reading this response, please follow the link to "How to put the Devil Back in Hell", and get involved with this book club.
I nominate you for President of the You Tube Book Club. If you are the great ruler that I anticipate you will be, then you'll never have to read a single page of any book that we discuss! :)
Can a human voice be more ill-suited to bring voice to the dark and desperately delightful passion of Boccaccio?

@Arminoid not at all. Glad you enjoyed it! You should try reading some of Pietro Aretino's work... similar to Boccaccio ^_^
