  • Air India dose not fly from London To Newark it flies from London To Dehil DUHHHH

  • @2001Randomperson God you clearly dont use your mind! This was filmed before Air India owned an "LR" aircraft that was able to make it from India to USA direct. A few years ago, Air India used to stop off in Frankfurt and Heathrow before continuing there hop across the pond to the US.

  • nice video,and beautiful sunset

  • it is possible its the 777 that crashed,it is definatley not a 747 because there is no upper deck, you cant see how man engines because the view is obstructed.

  • What plane is that?

  • @ironhide9111 Its a 747-400 "Jumbo Jet"

  • this is the 747 - 400 not the 777

  • @nicholaifernandes he Says there is The crashed 777 not that it is a 777

  • never flown in my life

  • Im LOVING the engine sound!

  • what airline

  • @456flight Air India (You can tell by the small logo on the engines).

  • whats so amazing about it? looks pretty standard to me

  • did the baby cried all trip long? X(

  • where is the Paradise?

  • wauw that is a feery good movie

  • Airline?

  • What airline is thiss ?

  • @borisl2 air india

  • Excellent video BTW

  • Sorry but what exactly was amazing with this takeoff?

  • Ooops, then I stand corrected. My apologies.

  • Great video. Love the twinkling evening lights. Great angle and lovely sounds as well. Really enjoyed.

  • Wonderful ! Bravo!

  • heathrow is the ugliest airport of the world. nasty tommys everywhere, no place to smoke.

  • @flytomars2012 smokers would make it ugly

  • What's this? People can't tell a 747-400 no more? It's a Boeing 747-400 powered by four General Electric CF6-80C2 engines!!!

  • That's an Air India 744, isn't it?

  • At what speed and altitude do they retract the droops? I notice they always retract the outboard ones first.

  • @billt460 Bonehead

  • my god.......listening to that baby crying in the background makes me want to punch it....so.....bad

  • am I the only one that noticed the 777 missing a tail fin?

  • @ChristewieTV I actually mentioned it in the tags.

    its the crashed BA B777

  • @ChristewieTV

No you weren't the only one.

  • Very nice indeed... I flew for TWA for 30 years and worked on the 747....this sounds really makes my heart jump!!!!! Oh how I miss hearing the sound of a 74 on take off!! :)

    thanks for posting.

  • @tenor175

Too bad Trans World never flew the -400. Their -100s and -200.s were ALOT louder...hahahahaha

  • @midwestairlinesinc Yeah your right they sure were!!! LOL!!!!! BUt they were good airplanes tho :)

  • @seanhiscock the 777 they was talking about is the one on the out side at 0:07 :)

  • It's not a 777 either. The 777 has 2 engines. (1 on each side for any smart asses who see the 2 in this video LOL). This seems to be the 747.

  • @seanhiscock i agree its a definte 747

  • @seanhiscock its a 747-400. he was talking about the crashed 777

  • @seanhiscock he is talking about the one without a tail fin that you see (not you obviously) at the beginning of the video.....

  • @seanhiscock - He mean't tht there ws a crashed 777, which can be seen at the strt of the video! :)

  • @seanhiscock I believe the 777 they are refering to is the wreckage of BA flight 38 that you can see outside the window of the 747 whilst it is lining up on the runway.

  • @billiepipersteeth the one sans tail?

  • @seanhiscock LOl nobody said 777 its kinda obiousl becuz it has 4 engines

  • its amazing how two waiste paper bins hanging off a scaffoling plank can have so much umph lol

  • @xxkitxx21 Hope your not intending to be racist..

  • @yuckyha1 no, not really. Actually I heard that on TV ^^ sorry if it sounded wrong.

  • Comment removed

  • @xxkitxx21 "I come from lots of different backgrounds". So you're saying you are schizophrenic?

  • @billiepipersteeth no whatever that is, my family background is mixed

  • @billiepipersteeth Schizophrenia (play /ˌskɪtsɵˈfrɛniə/ or /ˌskɪtsɵˈfriːniə/) is a mental disorder characterized by a disintegration of thought processes and of emotional responsiveness.[1] It most commonly manifests as auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions, or disorganized speech and thinking, and it is accompanied by significant social or occupational dysfunction. no i don't frigging have that

  • 250 knots? isnt that cutting it kinda close for big heavy planes like this one or am i exxagerating a little bit?

  • @sweetsongman1 Aircraft of even that size, at full flaps won't stall (lose lift) until around 150 knots at full load. At a clean config (flaps up, gears retracted etc) they would stall around the 170-190 mark depending. So it's perfectly fine.

  • @sweetsongman1 you wont believe how slow they fly in approach and landing :)

  • so... what happened to that B777????

  • @16hypen3sp its a ba a plane... lost both engines due to icing i believe... ended up landing before the runway lol luxkily nobody got hurt and they evacuated safely... good article on it on wiki :)

  • @1993GOS can you imagine what would happen if this plane landed short if this Runway? OMG the entire final approach of this runway is over the city until they reach the airport border :)

  • @16hypen3sp this is the crashed British Airways 777, I think the only B777 crash in history and was not a disaster :)

  • That airplane is?

  • You do know that new BAA rules say that no filming is allowed during take off and landing ?

  • @12moshpit this video was taken way before the new BAA rule :)

  • @12moshpit And who is going to enforce that rule? Are as a consequence of that rule cameras not allowed on your body or in your carry-on luggage?

  • @12moshpit Sorry but im a pilot and there is no BAA rules to stop filming on take off and landing. If there was a rule it would be set by the airline not the airport.

  • @DannyTakeOff I dont know mate i was told this in my Text book Im doing Aeronautical Engineering

  • @12moshpit eh who cares get a life

  • @12moshpit It also says as long as the devices are in flight mode it's ok ;P lol

  • @12moshpit cry me a river.

  • and?

  • @12moshpit FUCK BAA!

  • Wow, Pratt & Whitney engines are quiet.

  • quiet bcz he/she sit in front row.. i mean in front engine mount.. : )

  • aint it a bad thing to use an electronic device whilst the plane is taking off.

  • @empyreantrauma1 this is a digital camera operated ba 2 AA size battery but u still right :)

  • @egymecheng it does no harm whatsoever

  • @empyreantrauma1

    not a camera, its harmless.

How about a hearing aid, is that an electronic device as well?

  • @empyreantrauma1 All electronic transmitting devices must be turned off, having a battery operated camera on board doesn't hurt the planes transmissions with ground control

  • @empyreantrauma1 No, its fine, I'm considering writing to whoever makes these rules, to encourage videoing on planes, think about it, in an incident you have a video of what happened. I here by encourage all of you to video your flights. :D

  • @empyreantrauma1 I will tell you that, they only say you cannot use mobile phones etc on planes because they want YOU TO USE THEIR PHONES ONBOARD!!!

I remember watching on Mythbusters that mobile phones or any other electrical hardware don't affect any instruments whatsoever. Even my friends dad who is a pilot said it doesn't affect any of their instruments.

  • one of the slats look stuck

  • @nyc999 If I were in that plane, I would have told that to the pilot, because at such high speed that's very dangerous. The wind can rip it of, and it can be sucked into the engines!

  • air india cos ther is a man with a bow and arrow on the engine

  • hey man this is air india right man

  • u know my frnd right naw i am on a tour and i am in a plane every month bt the scenery above london is fantastic i mean the clouds and the sun gr8 video enjoy

  • And as somebody said, the Engine Power reduction is also Standard Procedure. Most engines do have a specific limited Numbers of Take Offs before they have to be replaced. During Take Off, an Jet Engine suffers the biggest stress (due to the fact the plane has to take off before reaching the end of the runway :-P ) . Once in the air a safe speed is reached, pilots reduce Power and keep climbing safely until reaching Cruising Altitude. :-) Nice Video btw

  • Standard Speed Limit is 250 Knots for commercial jetliners below 10.000 feet. ATC is not allowed to permit higher speed below that (U.S. dont know about other places). It can be even 200 Knots for specific aircrafts. 200 knots around airports and specific airspaces. Taxiing usually around 22 Knots. reason for the speed limits below 10.000 are for example Collision avoidance (since below that level, you have smaller and slower planes), Bird Strike damage reduction. :-)

  • Can you fly faster higher up in the sky cuz you're not fighting as strong of gravitity and surface tension?

  • i havent seen a rolling takeoff like this is years ...thanks ;)

  • i really like this video. coool.

  • very nice

  • there is no speed limit in the air

  • @kimosapiens obviously you know nothing about aviation

  • London's lights are beautiful from the air. Nicest sight I ever saw was coming into land over London at night.

  • what airline in this?

  • thank you of good view!

  • What a brilliant video.

  • god i love flying. awesome video.

  • What a machine

  • Well a plane also has structural load limits related to speed and altitude a heavier plane loses a lot of lift at higher altitude...hence burn fuel off and lower altitude.

  • 27left cleared for takeoff the power is up when you were still turning on ground

  • what a BS, u can fly as fast as 300 and 320 kts being below 10000 feet!!!

  • GR8 video

  • Nice video,very natural.

  • Nice video

  • lol Air india

     ahahahaah Rofl

  • I have flyed alot,This is one breath takeing sunset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wat airlines was this

  • Wowwwwww

  • It's an Air india Boeing 747-400. You can see the logo on the engines. Looks like an evening flight to India. Nice video !! Would have been nice to see the flaps retract and hear the engines throttle back to climb power!

  • And Over The Ocean You Go.......

  • Indeed. Nicely done!

  • Is a 777 so loud or is it the camera?

never heard any annoying noise like that on a 737 or a340

  • What Airline was this? Great video, I love that view from infront of the engines!

  • Don't tell the Rozzers that there are speed limits, next thing you know they will be hiding behind clouds with Radar guns!

  • @Dock2371 lol, you know what? its even worse. when you exceed the speed limit of 250 knots below 10,000 feet. the controller will give you a phone number on the radio to call after landing to get your violation :)

  • @egymecheng. Yes but you can request to go faster than 250kts.

  • @egymecheng Unless they give you permission to exceed 250KIAS...which happens often :)

  • Was this a morning flight very good video

  • i love how its so clear above the clouds...I JUST LOVE IT!

  • I hope u enjoyed the uk and have u been back since two years ago at all. I sadly don't get travel often due too high taxes but I hope to get in the skies someday soon I hope Anyway I hope u had a great xmas period in the uk and will see more vids soon like this again

  • Speed Limit 250 kts below 10,000 ft.

  • amazing video! really enjoyed it. Thanks.

  • this is simply the best take off video i have ever seen on youtube. of course weather and the light outside helped you alot. Thanks

  • Aren't you supposed to switch off all electronic devices during takeoff and landing? Including cameras?

  • @egymecheng i didn't know there were speed limites in airspace. i mean its commen sense not to make a sonic boom ofer a civillian area but there are speed limits other than that?

  • Speed limits are established in controlled airspace for traffic control purpose.

  • @egymecheng yeah so planes dont rocket into the ground or other planes i can well imagine that :)

  • @sweetsongman1 Below 10,000 feet there is a 250 knot restriction, but unless there is a lot of congestion, it's not heavily enforced. Heavy jets departing at near gross weight perform much better at speeds higher than that, and most experienced controllers are more interested in getting heavies up and out efficiently, than they are about nitpicking the 250kt limit, so it's usually ignored.

  • soo much sound like windows were opened

  • @imranejaz1 turn ur speakers up about 1/2 or 2/3 of the way thats how loud it is. not a big deal at all

  • Why would a screaming baby only ruin the flight for a business or first-class passenger? I think being crammed in cheek-by-jowl like a boxcar full of cattle PLUS a screaming baby is an accurate picture of hell myself.

  • İS it amasing :S Shitt...

  • Very good shoot of the 747 taking off. Listen to those engines producing the neccesary thrust for take off. Good shot of the wing plus the strobe light. Nice to see the AI logo of the centaur. excellent

  • This is an excellent video. The angle of the shot is just the way i would view it. Listen to those thrusts of the engines as the 747 climbs, beautiful. The shot of the wing including the flashing strobe, very good. And good view of the AIR INDIA centaur logo on the engine, excellent. Well done to the camera man/ woman

  • I'm guessing this is an Air India flight. You always get a screaming child with Air India.

  • I hate when they reduce power like that, it always freaks me out :)

  • Were you in First class or Business clas? If so, that baby must've ruined your flight.

  • Kudos to the captain.

  • wow the takeoff was straight away that happened 2 me when i took virgin atlantic a340

  • when i am in a plane the take off and landing are the best bits of the flight :)

  • that was a nice take off ! i hope you had a nice flight m8 !

  • wait was that 777 in the beginning the remains of BA38?

  • lol at the people below arguing about kids

you all were kids once too

  • sorry, i mean does this plane has new design. i don't know, i was thinking 'bout two things in one moment:)

  • So amazing how the weather is horrible and the plane rises above the clouds and suddenly the sky is beautiful.

  • air india sucks it smells bad bad service one time a old lady when i was on air india she stole my fuckin bag im like that my bag shes like nai nai nai yeh mera bag hai

  • Very nicely done. Wonderful takeoff sequence, good filming.

  • whats so amazing?

  • Always a screaming asshole fucking baby. Never fucking fails. God I hate children so much.

  • you were once a child...

  • Well then you must have hated yourself a for a long time when you were a child. 'hating children?!! what a stupid fucking thing to say.

  • You never heard of the satirical special interest group on The Simpsons called SSCCATAGAPP -- Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens and Gays Against Parasitic Parents?

What's with this child fetishism that allows people to think that shrieking, ill-mannered kids are entitled to set the atmosphere in decidedly non-child settings?

It was tough dues to pay to wait 'til 21 to enjoy adult pursuits as an adult in adult environments. If kids can't handle it, keep them away 'til they can.

  • @LoSamZayin - Its not Child-Fetishism at all, its understanding that Kids don't always know whats going on where they are (particularly in a Plane, where the unusual sensations can get them unsettled, and of course they don't yet know why... and how can they, they're only Kids for fucks sake. Yes, screaming Kids can be really annoying but we were all Kids once and its what some Kids do. By your reckoning, Kids shouldn't be allowed in any 'adult' settings.....

  • And to this day I take the time to compliment parents on well-behaved kids at fine restaurants, on airplanes, at vacation destinations, etc. Sometimes I wish I could afford to buy their dinners or plane tickets for them for their helping make my experience that much more pleasurable.

What's sad, though, is that the parents' reaction is that I am crazy for even paying them the compliment, as if the good behavior is (rightly) an expectation and not necessarily deserving of a reward.

  • @LoSamZayin..... in other words they shouldn't be allowed on Plane right? thats a retarded notion. I have a new Nephew, and he cries a good bit (he's only 2 months old, but I would never have anyone say anything harsh about him, if they did I would likely Headbutt them. Yes, screaming kids need to be dealt with in a certain way, but not always with harsh discipline. Remember the 'Baby Peter' case where he was beaten to death by a pure evil c**t who probably couldn't stand his crying.

  • "By your reckoning, Kids shouldn't be allowed in any 'adult' settings..... "

Bingo. Unless they are taught discipline and manners beforehand. As a kid I and my parents were always complimented on my behavior, and it was a self-esteem boost no inflated grade or hollow pronouncement of being "special" could match.

It is a reflection of the parents' judgment and maturity to let their kids vandalize the time of others by their presence in places and at times normally reserved for adults.

  • NIGGGER

  • The engines power reduction doesn't in anyway jeopardise the aircraft's safety. It's a standard operating procedure to maximise the engines lifespan, and at the same time can help with noise abatement.

  • I think its also to comply with the speed limit within the airspace, it might sounds funny for some ppl that there are speed limits for aircrafts too.

  • There is normally a 250knot speed limit under 10,000 feet. Air Traffic Control can waive this if necessary; say a 747 has a flaps up speed of 270knots, ATC could waive its 250knot limit so it doesn't have to wait until 10,000ft for flaps up.

Normally though, the change in engine note about a minute after takeoff is the change from takeoff, to climb, or climb-1 thrust setting.

  • that is true. Depending on your departure procedure.... you climb at certain speeds. The standard though is 250 kias below 10,000 feet msl.

  • @egymecheng what happened to that 777?

  • @egymecheng Yes the general rule is 250 kts at or below 10,000 feet. Now there are certain departures called RNAVs where an aircraft is required to maintain certain speeds throughout the climb.

  • @egymecheng not only in controlled airspace, but if you kept those engines kicking over at full power at straight and level it would end up damaging the airframe

  • @phileustace - probably noise abatement procedure i.e. a reduction in thrust to reduce engine noise. This is standard practice for takeoffs from Heathrow (and many other airports where the initial flightpath is over an urban area).

  • Yeh.

Though, I think that the safety of the aircraft should be put before urban noise disturbance.

  • w la figa e chi la castiga

  • 2:16 - 2.17 = Sounds like the engines are conking out !!

  • @phileustace That's when thrust setting is changed from Takeoff thrust ti climb thrust.

  • 0.00 to 0.15 .... funny seeing that plane without a tail !!

  • 744 = 747-400

    738 = 737-800

    ;)
