  • Great job once again. Didn't recognize as many of the films in this one, but I always enjoy watching your creations. :)

  • Now I know what bothered me about that saying. You do have to apologize when you're sorry or you never ask for forgiveness and it won't necessarily be given by a human, but with GOD you will not if don't respect Him enough to say you're sorry and ask for His forgiveness. Wow, wish I was aware of that long ago. Took ages to learn.

  • Dude you did the 70s so much justice. Please do the same thing with the 90's.

  • chills! loved it! kudos for richie havens who i saw in concert 2 years ago to the day you made this. :) (11-14-09)

  • @Merely wow thats cool!

  • Great tribute ********

  • @AdemPresley thank you Adem!

  • great upload!!!

  • @flipside1545 thank you!

  • The new decade came in with many suprising and enjoyable films, here is a choice of some of the best!! The Beatles soudtrack matches the mood and genre of these clips also the times very nicely!! This 36th comment I notice matches your age, only another ten years and I will have caught up with you on age!! Many thanks for your time and trouble uploading these sensational film clips, all a real pleasure to view!!

  • @MAGICKMINSTREL718 Thank you Stuart

  • Dean! Airport! The Aristocats! The priest just hit that man! Oh, Mother of Mercy, I don't think I can stop laughing!

I do believe the very beginning is the best under-reacting piece of acting I've ever seen. (Did that make any sense?) Pure awesomeness, Craig.

  • @darkmountains7 yes the first clip was from Catch 22..very dry humor, think you would like it!

  • @MADWORLD1427 Well, you were right. That's exactly my kind of humor. :)

  • This was a great series of 1970s tribute films you had and its very fitting to end it where it all began! Loved the song, it made each clip feel so majestic and gave a sense of serenity; great job!

  • @SilentJoe13 thank you so much Joe!

  • You always have my support here, Sweetheart! I've watched this a few times already...sometimes your work is like watching The Matrix: each time I see it, I find something new, that I missed before : )) (But that's just ME, I guess, haha!)

Someday you'll be noticed on a broader stage, and when you are: don't forget us "little" people, *smile*

    Love and Hugs,

    ~Tammi~

(How are you, btw? I hope all's better.)

  • @MADWORLD1427 Oh I'm so sorry....yes, will sure do 'er.

    I'm in-and-out lately, so don't trip. ((Hugs))

    And I WILL call.

  • Beautiful choice of music!! I sang for the duration of the video!!

One of the most beautiful songs ever!!!! In 1970 I remember the first 'Airport'. Great movie and great cast!! But also, 'Love Story', 'Patton', 'Little Big Man', 'Bloody Mama', 'Zabriskie Point', 'Rio Lobo' and many others.

Once again a great job and especially in this video there is something more: Let it Be, great choice!!

  • @TheBigValley Thank you Mirko...gotta love the Beatles!

  • Thank you for this beatiful tribute to 1970, my birth year!! I've enjoyed it very much Craig!

  • @70puck we are 5 years apart 75 was my year..gotta love the 70's!

  • i Get the chills every time i hear The Beatles! Thanks for making a tribute for every single year in the 70's. It sure looks like you enjoyed making them as much as i enjoyed watching them!

  • @2stroke4Me I did enjoy making tham, thanks for watching them all Bert!

  • Sorry for my bad english , Im not so good.

  • @dukk77777 ok..you are fine, I understand everything you said perfectly!

  • Ok enjoy your break.

80s oh FAIL... the ending of the classic movies. stupid clothing, dancing and teenagers XD

  • @dukk77777 sorry I have had more requests for the 80's, I ow more DVD's from the decade, honestly I prefer the 90's, maybe I will skip the 80's and do the 90's first, plus the 60's had "stupid clothing, dancing and teenagers" too!..look at all those Beach Party Movies..but yes I will do the 60's at some point..will do 67 for you though at least..no decade is going to be as fun for me though as the 70's ...maybe because I was born in the middle of the decade..'75..lol

  • @MADWORLD1427 Lol you are lucky that you are born in the 70s.

and yes the beach party movies FTW :P , they can't do it again anymore. Handsome actors with short shorts and sexy women with wonderful fashion and make up :p man the movies of 60s is full of joy and laughing all the time and you can't forget the memorable songs.

anyways if you love the 90s you should go for it, and begin with Goodfellas the best movie in the 90s:p , and lol no need to worry about 1967 .. do what you want. thanks.

  • @dukk77777 ahh yes Goodfella I would have to agree it is tied as my top favorite of the 90's with Pulp Fiction and Magnolia!

  • Awesme videos man... 70s is the golden years of cinema in my opinion.

Are you willing to do 60s videos? :D

  • @dukk77777 it will be awhile before I could get to that, I am taking a break..then I will be finishing the 80's first, sorry!

  • I really enjoyed watching this. I notice there are a lot of great war films from this year, a lot of concert films, and a lot of foreign films that were great.

  • @jollymanbigboy I had a hard time getting this one up, the first time I uplooaded it, it was blocked by Fox and UMG so I had to change the music and the opening and ending clips, originally it opened with M*A*S*H and ended with Patton, both Fox movies, and I used Eric Clapton's After Midnight, kinda preferred that version better, but after the re-edit I guess this will do!

  • @MADWORLD1427 Well with Let it Be, it adds a whole flavor of the period of being the tail end of the 60s and the hippie movement. And I like the period a lot especially to study. Plus that was the year they broke up. Out of curiosity have you seen the ballad of cable hogue?

  • @jollymanbigboy No I should used "Let it Be" to begin with, the problem is the clips I picked worked so well with "After Midnight" (faster paced) but after some juggling and re-editing I think it works, it is more about the rhythm of the piece, that is my problem with my old videos, they had no rhythm with the songs (just stuck in there) that's why I did them all over..yeah I liked "Cable Hogue" thought Stella Stevens should have been a bigger star!

  • @MADWORLD1427 Well it works for what you were trying to do. But being an editor myself, I understand the OCD feeling it has to creating a video.

  • @jollymanbigboy for me a successful video has to have a rhythym somewhat to the music otherwise it does not work..the old videos were just slapash, I am glad you liked them, but I was somewhat embarrased by some of them, a lot of people mentioned the talking head syndrome (people talking under music for long clips, being distracting) and they ere right, it was the biggest mistake I made with my early videos.

  • @MADWORLD1427 You know I really agree with the talking head syndrome in your videos and I see how they are amateurish, but yet I'm addicted to watching them for several reasons. 1. the amatuer gives it a little charm and formula to them 2. the main reason is because I've seen them for three years and so I've gotten so used to them that I feel it is an obligation to watch them religiously. 3 I like your song choices and I like naming off the movies using those videos

  • @jollymanbigboy well they are not in my videos now, and if so just briefly not long takes like before, anyway I am much happier with my new ones, I hope you can learn to like the new ones.

  • @MADWORLD1427 I didn't say they were perfect i just say that I accepted them and have been my only source of films per year. And these will grow on me as time goes on and I will revisit them after awhile. I love all film year videos.

  • Thanks dear Craig ...some great moments in your editing ..enjoyed so much ..and I love Catch 22 " Let me see if I've got this straight: in order to be grounded, I've got to be crazy and I must be crazy to keep flying. But if I ask to be grounded, that means I'm not crazy any more and I have to keep flying. "

    Great tribute ♥

  • @opensecret51 what a great comment!

  • The year of the film of Woodstock, M*A*S*H, Airport & Patton.....

Wonderful tribute...a great start to the '70s! 5✰

  • @PlayIt4MeAgainSam Thank you Lia, I will send you a PM later!

  • Man, Donald Sutherland was EVERYWHERE that year!

A pity nobody ever said sorry for Love Story...

But a terrific tribute. You've almost done the entire 1970s now...

  • @Noivedya I have done the entire 70's, I did 76 and 74 months ago, this was my last one

  • @MADWORLD1427 Ah yes, I remember those ones now! I'm now looking forward to your tribute to 1928.

(Only joking. That was a good year, though!)

  • @Noivedya after doing every year of the 70's I have noticed the stars of the 70's that appeared in almost every year were Clint Eastwood, Gene Wilder, Jane Fonda, Goldie Hawn, Al Pacino, Gene Hackman, and weirdly George Segal was very very popular did not know he starred in so many films in that decade until I started this!

  • Nice, moving tribute to 1970 cinema. I love that Beatle song you used. I'm a fan of the movie The Conformist which was such a beautiful, tragic film. I like it how you ended the video with that famous movie line. What that line says is so simple and true.

  • @suncore598 thank you so much my friend!

  • ....his is a great tribute have have crafted there.....this is the one with Joan Crawford in Trog, here last movie, I was only interested because she outlasted lmost other actor.....from the silent screen to the moderages over fifitiy years....thanks again Craig awesome montage......

  • @SleepWhenIamDead thank you Jamie, well Bette Davis, Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda, Katherine Hepburn, Gregory Peck, and Paul Newman all had longer careers acting mostly until their deaths, but I know you love her!
