  • @xXSUBJECT3Xx Although, I think GZA is one of the greatest to do it, with all due respect to him, and other legends, no emcee's death is the death is hip hop

  • INS production

  • @themasterbuilder7 um no this was produced by rebel ins for ins production says so on the cd

  • @saoyingyai this was produced by allah mathematics i dont know what cover you lookin in, the song "beneath the surface" was a inspectah deck production. check the line "math let the plate spin" plus look at the description for the video

  • This shit is crazy.. I cop this da day it came out..

  • 1999

  • The sample is gorgeous but the drums really damaged it, yuck

  • @HDibbles ...really???? I dont agree at all, but to each his own....why do you arrive at that conclusion?

  • @HDibbles They sound too generic these are like the stock drums on Fruity Loops, keep in mind this is the follow up album to Liquid Swords so I'm comparing it directly to the production on that album

  • i get too c this nikka in two weeks haaaaaaaaaaa

  • do you realize how much of a dickface to not like this song

  • perfect song

  • @nikesvvoosh ya cuz your a fag

  • @nikesvvoosh Probably because you were too busy sucking dick to absorb the truth.

  • anybody noticed how he's name dropping every magazine in his verses? and on his first album he did the same thing with all the record labels.

  • dis track is GENIUS

  • somebody slap Choker420

  • @BlazeA8th quoting GZA's words: "When a motherfucker steps out his place

And gets slapped in his motherfuckin face"

  • Awesome

  • Hip hop is dead. Much love from the South GZA.

And serve High Times wit king cobras....

  • amazing track. respect to gza, one of the few artists out there who is still legit

  • cool instrumental. nice lirics. I like Gza

  • gza got some rhyming enginuity

  • remember this one from '99, got me through summer school that year... the beat on this one was too generic for me at first but gza can rock any joint....

  • " Good merchandises needn't publicity..."

" Les bonnes marchandises se passent de publicité... "

    ( Anonymus chinese )

  • His equivalent to Labels (Liquid Swords), which he weaves lyrics using magazine titles... this is an undeniable classic. It brings a tear to my eye because its simply a masterpiece.

  • GZA weaves poetry through the microphone

  • Classic joint.

  • This blasted me of my seat! wow! GZA for life

  • Many rappers CANNOT MATCH THIS TYPE OF LYRICAL WORDPLAY AND STYLE. Yall rappers CANT EVEN ATTEMPT TO TRY. My nigga GZA definently deserves 100 times more praise than hes been given. His best songs were not only on Liquid SWords

  • @oneindachamber

chuuuuuuch, larrys bird flew out of nicholas's cage

  • does anyone think the first song in this video is sampled from this?

  • @totalgeekman01 can't post links anymore forgot, "nike sb southeast"

  • Produced by Mathematics the creator of the Wu logo. The GZA and only the GZA is righteous enough to deserve to be able to spit his lyrical vocalisms over these excellent (and underappreciated judging by the view count) production skillz. Seriously IMHO this is a MASTERPIECE. Quite possibly my favorite track of the entire Wu Catalog. And trust me I've done plenty of homework and still do. My ears have been open a long time. much love and respect. hip hop lives but travels mostly underground.

  • such an amazing tune.

  • dope beat..

  • WTC DA GREATEST!

  • word life god!

  • Even tha cd cover iz off tha meter GZA iz a god!!!!!

  • "During the first half, number 1 draft, rap lord swing sword, slam microphones, shatter Billboard..." Christ. Still one of the illest.

  • Gino Iannucci!

  • This is one of my all-time favorite beats

  • Can't believe he drops Creative Loafing amoungst all the other publications. Effen deep knowledge. Respect. Such a sick, sick idea and executed flawlessly. Beat is so ill it makes me wanna puke. Just not right to come off that correct.

  • in my top 5 lyricist

  • i fully agree

  • nice track

  • I always remember those golden Times the 90s were...This Track is Genius , it was 11 Years ago, it is today and it will be so in 20 Years !

  • ALBUMS FUCKIN GOLD!

  • amazing album cover

  • "Who be 1st to catch this beat-down...."

I am pretty confident that those violins are a Bach sample check out Bach-Toccata & Fugue in D Minor

  • i remember seeing the commercial for this on tv and this beat came on....i think i had to change my pants

  • bought this album when it dropped! Underrated!

  • his Voice is just amazing^^...love it

    Greetings from overseas (Germany)

  • @austintoebosch yeah you right

  • u got to consider liquid swords....

  • be afraid of my liquid sword ;)

  • jahnet reno <3

  • rap barely exists today i mean method man and redman still keeping it real

  • bought this album in a cellar in Boston. Had his previous 2 albums on tape. True fan of the game!

  • All raw bars+ flawless verses+ No chorus= classic hiphop shit

  • MF Doom shit!!! HIP HOP!

  • god damn right

  • Man this shit is tight. Classic. I used to have this album and bump it in high school. Good old days. Now high schoolers have shitty music. Kind of feel sorry for them.

  • @BigBearfromthe206 They can always go back to the classic shit though!

  • @LWebb1000 Yeah but they won't. It's a new era of sell out douchebag hypocrite rappers/actors and dancers. There will never be another 90's just like there will never be another 70's. I think real hip hop will eventually come around and recycle itself much like rock and roll has, but there will never be the same type of movement like we had this past decade.

  • @BigBearfromthe206 I'm only one year out of high school and all I listen to is the Wu and other 90s rappers

  • @kableguy338 Same here...I refuse to listen to anything on the radio that's come out in the last decade. My friends dont understand it, probly cause they are brainwashed by society to think the music they are listening to nowadays is "good shit". I usually take the good out of it and just call it "shit". Good taste brotha!

  • @BigBearfromthe206 man i just dropped out of high school and gotta agree wu tang forever

  • @mehdiowns there ya go kheeed

  • @BigBearfromthe206 uh theres still good music. they just choose the bad. there was plenty of bad music out when any good album was made.

  • @riverWF not really. it was basically one great big glorious smorgasbord of gangster rap. I mean sure you had your Puffy's and your Jermaine Dupre's, but even those dudes were kind of g (well not Jermaine) until around 98 99 when the fed money started rollin in and gen x took over. then it was all Bently's and 'we're better than everone else' rap bullshit. it went from real ass g's and street prophets to a 'how to build up your street cred so you can sound hardcore in a rap song for dummies.'

  • @riverWF but make no mistake about it kid there is GREAT music out there. better than ever. I'm not puttin down the 00's no sir. It's just what the media and hollywood and all the mainstream paparazzi greedy muthafucka's that fucked the game up have done selling you all a dream. its sad when you got solder boy rollin around in a Maybach with 2 million in platinum on his skinny little fag limbs and dudes like k rino that have been in the game dropin gems since 1992 can't even afford a whip.

  • best ever. real shit. todays rap aint shit

  • wu tang... never to be remade.

always remain a legacy in hip hop throughout the decades. always a memory in the tapedecks played.wu tang...hip hop will never be the same

  • wu tang forever

  • powerful track

  • Now this is real Hip-Hop, none of that Soulja Boy or 50 Cent crap. Doesn't matter how many iTunes or whatever downloads, but the lyrics, when it comes to wordplay GZA is truly the Genius.

  • hell yeah dude. i dont even like hip hop anymore. thats why im always on youtube digging up the pioneers.

  • this seems like its sampled from an old cint eastwood movie but what is the sample? ive been searching more than roy ayers lol.

  • the sample is from "I Who Have Nothing" by Terry Knight & The Pack, at least thats what some site says! peace
