  • dang.. don't any atheists/non christians adopt kids?

it seems like most international adoptions are done by die hard jesus freaks.

  • #2 have in their bondage found the liberty with which Christ made men free; and so thy cross, like the cross of Simon of Cyrene, has been Christ's cross, and God has been thy salvation. Hasten, O Lord, this day, when both the civilization and the barbarism of the earth shall adore thee, Egypt and Ethiopia blending with glad accord in thy worship! Here is the confidence of thy saints, even thy promise; hasten it in thine own time, good Lord.

  • Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God. Cush shall hasten to present peace offerings. Sheba's queen shall come from the far south. Candace's chamberlain shall ask of Him who was led as a lamb to the slaughter. Abyssinia shall yet be converted, and Africa become the willing seeker after grace, eagerly desiring and embracing the Christ of God. Poor Ethiopia, thy hands have been long manacled and hardened by cruel toil, but millions of thy sons have in their

  • we have plenty of children here that need adopted, guess the children here aren't good enough for you. That child has a family in her own country and that's where that child should be.

  • I wish the best for this family.

  • not to be disrespectful but why are most of the ethiopian adoptions by die hard christians. I mean these kids were raised in a muslim background or at least with some african religion that is so deep that its part of them. do the kids have a say in what religion they can follow or will it be hammered into their little heads?

  • khalilahinjapan for your information Ethiopia has more Christians. But who said muslims can't adopt Ethiopian Children? Eventhough the agencies are christians I don't think they impose any relegion on the Children.

  • gotcha. Peace...

  • I know this is a late reply, but I thought I'd respond. First, a lot of Christians adopt, because God's word calls them to do so. Second, Ethiopia is actually a largely Christian country. That is a big part of their culture. There is Islam there also, but not like in many countries in Africa. As for what gets "hammered" in their heads. All of us raise our children according to what we believe is best for them. But people are free will beings. Everyone has a choice.I hope that helps. :)

  • this is completely beautiful! I can't wait until I adopt.

  • Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl! My husband & I are just starting the process to adopt from Ethiopia as well, and we are so excited! May God bless your family!

  • What a wonderful people...! Mihert love and care this couple as they tought you how to love and care. ..What they have given you is priceless !

  • epiers...am saddened to read ur comments. but i don't grant u any more power by saying anymore about it.

adoption is the ultimate gift. to love another that is not indeed ur blood as ur own, is a true demonstration of the power of humanity.

i find it soo soo annoying when african adoptions are soo negatively recieved.......why?? especially from other africans. makes NO SENSE!!

there are MILLIONS of children in need. africa needs all the help it can get to parent them!

    thanks

  • I wonder why you would write something like this. Adoption is very complex and the reasons for it are screwed up. But the fact is that there are 6 million orphans in Ethiopia... little kids who deserve homes while the grownups figure out how it happened in the first place.
