It happens but you can't be 100% sure about that. Perhaps Luongo stopped caring about the puck as soon as the whistle went off. That Blues guy did run into Luongo after all.
look, there's nothing you can do if the goalie catches it. the whistle should be blown right away if its caught, otherwise it just encourages hacking at the goalie.
