  • Is that an "ElectroHarmonix" t-shirt?

  • Faggot DeFranco is a fake Dane Cook and you are a fake DeFranco. The piercing in your nose is rather appropriate. Steers have it too. Grow a pair.

  • You have a good point, but I think you're rather wordy yourself. If the irony was intentional I apologise.

  • all i know is that americans hate the truth obviously

  • I think forcing people to actually listen to what he said, instead of a BATTLE OF CATCHPHRASES is a good thing. You say one thing like "students should work hard" and then certain news organization will say "obama said students should work hard...FOR COMMUNISM" and the bullshit will began once again....

  • lost... just as it should be. keep up the good work of having morons not understand you, obama!

  • we live in a republic.nice speech though.democracy is mob rule.the mob of americans are led around like puppets.

  • the 25 thumbs down are (d)

  • OH MY GOD! You are an even bigger ass-hat than I initially thought.

  • your facial expressions and intonation impede me to respect your opinion even if i agree with it. i found this while searching for the surplus documentary, i sugest you watch it.

  • Is this still happening? The last times I heard the President speak he seemed pretty concise, but this is after the health care thing. Hmmm just wondering.

  • I totally agree with this video!!!

  • You should write the speech Obama should of given.

  • Excellent impression! You do this so well that you almost *look* like Phil!

  • If you ran for president, I would vote for you good sir.

  • This poor Obama sheep is either the type that is constantly looking to someone to lead him in his need to follow or to be subservient, or he is a die hard liberal, and therefore is unable to think outside the box of liberal democrat ideology. It's sad to see how many Americans lack knowledge of the true roll of government. This guy undoubtedly views the US Constitution as an obstacle due to his beliefs that "healthcare" is a human right that should be forced on the American people.

  • @BloodTar No one is suggesting that it should be 'forced' onto the Americans, just that it should be an option. In the UK we have the NHS (the publicly owned healthcare system payed for by the tax payers) and Bupa (The privately owned healthcare system that people have to pay for as and when they need it) Admittedly, Bupa does provide a better service which is well and good as long as you can afford it. But do you think it is fair that those without that money should be forced to go without?

  • obama is another puppet dont waste your WORDYNESS on him or others like him... you're wasting your time ;P

  • Well, he is handicapped by having so many Clinton era people in his admin. You remember any of Bill's speeches? Neither does anyone else.

  • Yay! Waytogo, Rebel!

  • Simple messages befit simple problems, not complex ones like health care reform. The problem with your criticism is it assumes that the problems Obama is addressing aren't complex. Why would you assume that?

(You are correct about the bipartisan business.)

  • You can be complex and still get to the point with your sentences, making each word count. I'm not asking him to dumb it down.

  • Why?

  • @azrienoch because

  • Who, me?

  • Ya know, even if I stuck my head in the sand and decided not to care about politics, I'd still come check out your videos just to watch the metalwear wiggle about your face.

Your enthusiasm makes me giggle. I can almost feel the spittle flying!

  • HC is the best thing Obama could do with his presidency? You can't be that stupid. How about good financial and monetary policy, so we can have jobs? Instead of having Bernanke inflate the dollar away, maybe we could save the dollar so we can pay for the HC? What good is a healthcare bill if we are all unemployed and broke?

  • Being fiscally responsible is expected. Nobody gets voted in with people saying, "Well, I don't think he'll manage money well, but that's okay." And he's not a magician. He can't wave a wand and make the economy better. And even if things do get better, it won't be because of him. So in talking about things he could do with his presidency, yes, HC is at the top. Now, if you'd argued that getting us out of Iraq would be better, I'd have a harder time arguing against that.

  • His monetary and fiscal policies are terrible and very bad for the economy. We are actually in WORSE shape than we were this time last year because we have so much more debt. How anyone can be considering another entitlement program while we are running 2t deficits and 50T in unfunded entitlements is beyond me. Ending BOTH the wars and the civil war in Pakistan that we are involved in would be a good start.

  • hehehehehe, I get it. The most important thing Obama could do with his administration is become Republican. ;)

  • I'm not a republican, at least not a modern republican. The economy is much more important than you might want to admit. The FED is causing MASSIVE inflation at a time when prices should be falling, they are actually rising. Raising taxes or even just not lowering them, during a recession is unwise. Are you happy that you have all this debt and inflation being taken on in your behalf? Are you happy that your dollar buys less than it did last year? Been to the supermarket lately? Happy about war

  • They elected a president in the democratic party, otherwise known as the republican party, otherwise known as the democratic party, otherwise known as the republican party, etc.

  • Wow some of these people honestly need to see the other videos that you have made before commenting. Once you enter the political ring you reach a much wider group and thus some less "informed" people. I'm really starting to laugh at the high horses these people put themselves on when trying to insult you.

  • ugh...how is someone brave enough to go into body modification cowardly enough to imitate the dialects of someone that goes by "SxePhil"? I guess...niches really are a case of particularly picky sheep

  • Just to clarify, "Public healthcare is the most important thing...". Is that actually your opinion or do you mean Healthcare in general is the most important thing right now? I could debate the debate with words about words but I'm more curious about what you, with your outlooks and insights feels is important and why.

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for the hip analysis, fred durst and dave navarro's lovechild.

  • Wow, maybe someone should give you a lesson on public speaking on redundancy. This entire video could be summed up in maybe two sentances, yet you drew it out repeating your point at least three times, a video Obama could have summed up in about half a minute with, oh my gosh, BIG SCARY WORDS. Really, If you think he is using any more confusing words than any other president, you're probably just comparing him to George Bush. I've never had trouble understanding what he is saying.

  • Go ahead, give us the couple of sentences that would have captured every point made in this video. Do it. If they aren't too wordy, they'll fit in a comment. Come on. Don't be a pussy. Follow through with your convictions or shut the fuck up.

  • Common sense plus 1, pussy 0

  • S22: The point is that Obama can't seem to shift down into "average" language. Clinton was a Rhodes scholar but he could talk to people in words they understood, hence his popularity.

It's a bit peculiar the Obama does not a street vocab. ready at hand. Not a problem if he was just a college prof.

  • Well, I'm not too worried about big words. Just superfluous ones.

Superfluous version: Well now, I don't think I'm too sure I'm at all very terribly worried about big, gigantic, long, unusual, or rare or even heady word choices. Really only those sorts of words that grate on your nerves because they don't really actually need to be there at all.

No big words in that. It's just wordy.

  • Trollschool: If you read the transcripts of an Obama speech you'll see the language that you feel isn't there - it's there, but when what's said says nothing, very little, or too much and then it's said over again differently, the specifics of what Obama is trying to achieve or promote becomes obscure or seemingly remote from the point of what he's actually saying. It amounts to telling people different things to "get them onboard" whilst never actually discussing your true agenda. Truth=bad?

  • Well, I don't know what to say in this regard. You seem to be asking me for a definition of truth, which has nothing to do with this video or what me and Azzy were talking about earlier.

Since we are apparently exiting in a multiplicity, I would imagine that truth is a correspondence between one aspect of this multiplicity and some other aspect. I'm sure that doesn't help you out in the least.

  • watch?v=cUwZrpOSWNw

    That's wordy.

Obama is as well but he's got an understanding of things and needs to be cut some slack considering all the things he needs to consider before opening his mouth.

  • Nah, that's stupid. Obama's not stupid, and I'm not saying he is. I'm saying he's wordy.

  • President Obama can be 100% crystal clear and be able to explain everything at 100%, however dicks would still be dicks about it.

  • Imagine that. A politician talking in circles about nothing.

  • you should be pres az :)

  • Damn you're good! Short and to the point :)

  • Hey, don't feel bad. Even Bob Dylan was on board the Obama train in the beginning.

(yes, there was a smirk somewhere in there)

  • Not me. I'm the proud owner of an "I Voted" sticker that I got for coloring a circle next to Ralph Nader's name.

  • Nader!? I should have known lol

  • In all honesty that voided you from the process - irregardless of how fucked up or souless the process in fact is.

  • Nah. We'd have to say anyone that voted for McCain were voided from the process too. It's not about winning.

  • I'm sorry. "What's" not about winning?

  • Voting.

  • Ha ha. That was obscure enough. You win!

Someday I'll get my shit together and be able to get you and your wife down here for a fishing trip off padre island. Or at least post a video response.

  • He can't just say that business wants the government to pick up the tab for worker

halthcare because it costs too much in USA.

That might lead one to suspect his motives.

  • I've never found Obama too wordy. But his speech does need to refocus his Health Care plans which the Republicans are doing their best to derail.

  • but obama said when he was elected it would be more bipartisan. I don't think it is since the congress was already a democratic majority but whatever.

  • use your balls to kick em in the ass!....lol... that was weird. 0:53

  • you really dont look like how your voice sounds.

  • What do you mean?

  • its the rocker slash intelligence vibe. unless you meant the nuts and ass thing.lol. still funny. :53

  • haha well said. 5 stars.

We dont elect presidents so that they can work together with the opposition, especially since the oppositions main goal is to destroy you no matter what. thats not how things work.

  • that they do...

  • I concur.

  • Oh snap

  • "you're no a rookie".? He IS a rookie.

  • At public speaking, no, he's not.

  • No, just mortar's from the Hayfields next door.

  • Amen. I completely agree with this. Now I'm getting pissed off just thinking about it. UGH.

  • It's not what he says or how he says it, it's that people don't WANT to understand what he says. And, on that note, I'm going back to reading Proust, who was crystal clear about everything. Eventually.

  • Well said.

    Or, in Obama vernacular:

Here, in The United States of America, there are...certain freedoms we have become accustomed to. To think of a day or time when these freedoms are denied is to ponder the worse that America could ever be. It is important to express our views in a manner that is effective and passionate, yet not bad-mannered or condescending.

What has been said here in your video embodies everything that could possibly be desired in one's first amendment rights. (and on)

  • this is not a democracy. the reptilians run the bilderbergers who run the world. az, it's time to stop wasting your energy trying to debate politics and start learning how to survive when the reptilians come back

  • Unfortunately for Obama, he could be at Mc Donalds ordering a Big Mac and Fries, and there would be someone spinning that as for him saying he wants to stab you in the face with a fork and sleep with your grandmother. So its like having to speak everything you say with an asterisk or not say much at all.

  • I think Barack Obama has been attending the Bill Clinton school of rhetoric. Slick Willie was the master of saying a lot and conveying nothing.

While I'm thinking about it, what's up with the name Barack appearing as a misspelled word? He's the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, for Christ's sake. Why doesn't youtube update this shit?

  • The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. When there is a gap between one's real and one's declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish spurting out ink. - George Orwell

  • I like that. And I like Orwell. Good people.

  • Well said sir...

The man has nothing to lose... get it done.

    Cheers... J.

  • you do make a really good point :)

  • Phil Defranco wannabe?

  • Lol, Phil Defranco couldn't even understand Azrienoc if he tried. Apples to oranges, Phil is an unfunny 'tard.

  • It's hard to say anything coherent in Washington, because as soon as you've opened your mouth, millions of dollars are poured into an effort to shout you down in case you MIGHT say something that annoys someone. The Dems don't seem to understand that the proper counter to that is to be louder, clearer, and more direct than the spin being thrown at you.

  • What does this have to do with "Obama's Surplus"?

Those two words don't belong in the same sentence.

  • A surplus is the leftovers of overproduction. Wordiness is an overproduction of words. It makes sense.

  • LOL! Ya got that right! Thanks, Grams

  • This is great, in the context that I just read George Orwell's "Politics and the English Language" last week.

I think Obama is an unskilled public speaker, especially extemporaneously. He has skated too long on his natural talents alone. He's never had to work to develop himself.

  • Ah, but azrienoch, it is true is it not, that not to put too fine a point on it, but in the office currently held by Mr Obama, that is, the presidency of the United States of America, there are, or there may be, situations when instances of verbosity and a tendency towards linguistic obfuscation can be an optimum counter, in contextually appropriate situations of course, to the thought-free simplicity that so much of your politics is dragged down to?

  • lol

  • Dood. You could have said that in ten seconds.

  • Only the white babies. So I guess your safe.

  • Haha 'it gets fuzzy around the 30th word in a sentence.' Haha...

  • If Obama said in a public forum what he really wants, it would scare the shit out of 99% of us. Well, those of us with any sense of self preservation anyway.

  • And what are you basing that on? Why would Obama be a threat to your self preservation? Does he want to eat our babies?

  • Agreed.

  • Unions are Exempt from Obamacare as written in the bill

Unions will receive 10 Billion for their pensions as written in the bill.

Of course, government employees are Exempt as written in the bill.

So, I guess that means the other 85% of us can eat _ _ _ _.

  • If he did that he would be so sunk. I swear he memorizes people because he uses the words change, for americans, etc etc sooooo much in one sentence. That is how he got elected. If he actually came clean with what he wanted, then he wuld be a lame duck for the rest of his term because the people would be soooo against him

  • Know what? Of the past 5 presidents 4 are Ivy League college graduates (2009-1980). In that time the U.S. has went from the most robust economy the world has ever known to bankruptcy. Does it not beg the question: Just what in hell are those elitist institutions teaching their students? Is the incompetence of 4 presidents merely coincidence or is agenda afoot? Who knows, but...simply, something just doesn't seem right.

  • Maybe they didn't diserve to be in those institutions? Either way there's an awful lot of people out there that know there stuff 'in thoery' but when it actually comes to anything practical... Completly useless.

  • You're awesome.

  • I think they ALL have nightmares about not being re-elected.

  • He was on a roll in Cincinnati, no?

  • In his vague, the-suspense-is-killing-me-so-tell-us-what-you-think-now-or-I'll-kill-you-first sort of way, yes.

  • obama=bush=america.....b.a.u.

  • Completely Awesome.(I'll leave it at that.)

  • I want universal health care, but too many civil liberties are lost in the current plans, ie: Kids forced to be vaccinated against parents' will, data recording chips to be implemented, State officials can force treatments on your child against parents' will, State can punish you for unhealthy diet practices, can force diets on children, etc. etc.

I think you have something, Azrienoch, I think it is obfuscation.

  • Bi-partisan (sp?) is such a joke nowadays. If any person with a half good sense couldn't see there is only a two-faced, one party system, they deserve what happens to them with this country. Obama might as well go as a dictator. That's kinda what the country wants, right? Be under rule of a socialist.

  • I think Bush was a joke. But Obama's an even bigger one. Fucking socialism...

  • halle-mothafuckin-juah

  • hallejuah? xD

  • LOL hallejuah ..

  • "Things get fuzzy around the thirtieth word in a sentence." HA! That's going in my quote book.

  • I love you. lol =D

  • Azienoch is the BEST

  • One of the traits of a leader is knowing how to deal with people in the right way. He wanted the righties to like him, which is sort of like wanting to be fish bait in my opinion.

I'm civil to republicans when we agree on something, and tell them to go shove it up their greedy, conniving asses when I don't. It's the only sentiment they understand.

  • Obama really hasn't been doing to well lately..and I agree he needs to just say it and not beat around the bush too much. I think he could be a good pres if he fixes some of his tactics.

  • This is exactly what I thought. He isn't making it clear to the average people, and Republicans are able to make up some dictator propaganda or something and he wont even clarify on stuff that are still hazzy.

  • Good video. A clear case for one term presidents. I'd support it. Its ridiculous, they start running for reelection as soon as they get in office.

  • Actually, this is a federal republic. but for how much longer?

  • ayup

  • Obama could not run a snowball stand. Oh thats right, he was a community organizer instead. Obama brought this down upon himself. He is simply an anti-american socialist who wants to destroy america from the inside out. Face it, he blew it. Healthcare, his wacky czar's and their leftist/communist positions and soon they will all be gone. The cabinet who did not pay their taxes, and pure amateurs. A one year lame duck. His numbers are dropping faster than Ted Kennedy's trip to Hell.

  • And yet, you never complained once when Bush drove this country to the shithole it has become for the past eight years. It hasan't been half a year and you all are talking shit already. Shut the fuck up, keep your hands in your pockets, and let the president do his fucking job.

  • no.

the president does not do his job. the president does our job. it is the people's job to rule the country, we simply elect the president as a representative.

  • How do you figure we didn't complain about Bush?

  • i would love less talk as well. and the words in general to be replaced with action. then i would be a satisfied american. but alas, it is not so.

  • Obama is pissing me off, >=(

  • btw, his dropping of single payer should of been a real clue...

it seems this public option is just some type of distraction, to keep the progressives hopeful and what not.....

  • But, Obama is doing his job - which, is to give us lip service, while the real power elite - rob us blind.

  • BRILLIANTR!

  • I'm in like with this video (Y)

  • Dude. You are really interesting to look at when you talk. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the way you always have one corner of your mouth higher than the other. It makes you appear crooked in a way.

  • Overtrained cheek muscles from years of sucking cock.

  • HA!

  • I see. :) Then I know what I have to look forward to.

  • Five stars...

Thank goodness you're making videos again. I wasn't sure what to do without the shiny white background and piercings.

  • I apologise in advance for hurt feelings and tears but I cant do this anymore. Do you have any idea how ridiculous you look these days? that shiny new age crap is obviously interfering with your brain as well because now you are also empty and boring. You are a fool without purpose or meaning.

    TOODLE PIP

  • No tears, no worries. I coulda told you about the meaninglessness, though.

  • I blame it on the Tubes..

  • Glad to see you back in full spin.

  • But without being vague in their wording, how can the government operate in whatever direction it wants? To be clear would set a strict guideline of action, and we need room for "change" right?

  • well spoken, not many people fatham pulling there head's outta there assholes and actually doing research on subjects.

  • I do not agree that the most important thing Ogama could do is Healthcare reform. I think he should start with the things he promised to his followers in the beginning. (ending the war) what happened to "change we can believe in?"

I do however agree that he clings to every ounce of power he can get like a dictator. Every president since JFK has done that. Annoying.

  • I could agree less with what obama is try to do, or not do... but I wholeheartedly agree with what you just said. The only reason I would want obama to listen to your advise is because if he fails, we'll all be called racists because of it.

  • Barrack Brevity!

  • bravo!

  • I have a feeling you and I would go about health care reform in totally different ways but you have given the President excellent advice.

  • you voted for him

  • No I didn't.

  • I'm unnerved that people think that they President can and should just push through whatever he wants regardless of what everyone else thinks. That is not how this country works, nor is it built to work is such a fashion.

If Obama pushed this health care bill through, there would be millions of extremely pissed off people all wanting his head. Metaphorically.

  • I'm not asking for pushing or threats or anything like that. Just have a little nerve and stand up for your ideas. Crouching is a waste of pedestal.

  • But a President is a representative of the people. He works for us and does what we want.

If this bill passed, it would be against what most people seem to want.

Health care is a hard issue, because even though I personally think it would be great if everyone was able to get it, I cannot support bills like this. They are massive increases in spending that we can't afford.

If they want to pass anything, they need to put restrictions on insurance companies for denial of coverage and such. Easy.

  • He's a representative of the people in that people hand-picked him. Save for extreme cases, that's as far as our influence goes. A considerate president will keep public opinion in mind, yes, but someone whose will changes with the ebb and flow of public opinion will never get anything done. For example, public opinion polls are showing a majority of people in favor of the public option, but polls also show that the majority of people are confused as to what it is.

  • I could live with a President that never got anything done. Sans a few big issues, America had a pretty good start...I think I may be fine with a President who did nothing... ;)

  • what are you talking about? too much Fox "news"??

most people want a public option.

  • I could have answered you in a civil manner, but since you're a fucking moron and simply assume that because I have X opinion that I must be a brain-washed, Fox-watching zombie, you can simply fuck right off, because you're a dumb ass.

Some others' seem to have thought so too, since your comment has been down rated TWICE.

Hell, real answer: It doesn't matter how many people want something that we cannot afford. Go tell your bank you want a new Lambo. Watch them laugh.

  • fuck civil manner, i never asked for it, fucking stupid ass

oh right, like NO ONE can rate a comment, only really smart people, since i have 2 downratings (by the way it's one now, and YOU are on 2 downratings xD)

anyways since nobody but intelligent people can down rate a comment it MUST say something *rollseyes*

  • real answer, it does not matter that we cannot 'afford it' because the gov. can afford it if THEY WANT, hell they afford themselves great amount of money from corporations, they can afford war, don't give me that bullshit.

  • We can't afford war, we can't afford bailouts, we can't afford a ton of shit the government is doing. We're borrowing and printing money to do these things, which is ruining our currency and creating inflation.

It is sad that people think that the government has an endless supply of money and can afford anything. Applying your same financial sanity (if you have any, which I hope you do) to the government. If you couldn't afford something, you wouldn't buy it. They shouldn't either.

  • Buyers remorse?

    Extraordinary extradition?

    War accelerating?

    Torture and torturers cleared?

    Ear marks?

    Lobbyists?

    Pork barrel projects?

    ya de ya da ...

  • i support George Obama.......errrr wait did i say that out loud.

  • well Presidents arnt as powerful as people make them out to be. people often project presidents as supermen. ps the public option is a violenve option for government must violent take tax money from people to give it to others. stefbot(an awsome youtuber) 2012!!!

  • Let me be clear, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, good, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, video

  • What's the difference, when people learn something and before the station. I have balls doing thiss! chapingout.

  • was that badly synced?

  • Every scoundrel in history was a wordy bastard.

  • Getting your message across is difficult when the people you are talking to are searching your words for evidence instead of trying to understand the message being communicated. We who do the listening are as responsible for understanding as is the person doing the talking.

  • Dude, chill! He doesnt even write his own speeches:)

  • ye he does :)

  • I thought he had a speechwriter, Jon Favreau . . .

  • Speechwriters don't take the place of speakers. He tells them exactly what he wants, and then what he wants changed. But this isn't about his speeches. This is about his public conversations.

  • agreed.

  • haha. that was great.

  • I'll shorten the speech for you:

Obama: We cant do health care cause i'm a big fat corporate sell-out pussy.

  • I can't understand why anyone in this country would oppose public health care. Do they think the system we have is good? Fuck lawyers, the drug companies and insurance companies. They are the real death squads that opponents of public health care claim that Obama's plan would spawn.

  • Everyone check out " The Obama Deception" here on Youtube. It'll tell you all you need to know about how the US government works, both past and present.

  • Obama k
