I have no problem with the ad. I do have a problem with the campaign not admitting that the cross (even if it was a bookshelf) was purposeful. Everyone knows that the backdrop of these ads are very well planned out. Just admit that it was purposeful, he was talking about Christmas and the birth of Christ anyways, so just tell the truth.

Funny video, not far off the truth either. Huckabee has probably never even read the Bible in full, if he had he would have known Jesus' birth wasnt in December. Nor did Christ even command people to celebrate his birth, his death maybe but certainly not his birth. But this is what you get when your a politician and have a christmas tree...with a bright cross in the background heh.
I doubt very man people have read the bible in full. And, does anyone really expect their birthday to be celebrated?? It just happens, try to think of someone you know that doesnt have their birthday celebrated.

Well, I've had personal experiences AKA miracles (they also were not medical and could not be explained any other way than through God)
However, Miracles mean absolutely nothing to Atheists/Agnostics/etc. Therefore, I can't use them to prove my Faith.

Also, you talk about Huck being a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, but didn't Ronnie boy say in a debate that he would take his marching orders from the U.N.? Because I watched that debate and I distinctly remember him saying that. But you are right about one thing, the U.S. destruction will come draped in a flag and carrying a cross. BUT THE FLAG WILL BE A UN FLAG and it will be carrying an UPSIDE DOWN CROSS above which reads a sign "PRAISE BE TO ALLAH".
Almost everything we know, from democracy, free markets, human equality, etc.. has its roots in christianity. I say that candidates should wear their heart on their sleeve. Weather that heart is christian or atheist, they shouldn't shy away from it. That is who they are. Just because bush is a hippocrite doesn't mean you can discredit every passionate christian running for president. Stalin and Hitler were both atheist, but I am not going to discredit every atheist candidate who comes along.

I have been very persuaded to support Mike and value his experience, demeanor, values, and leadership. I never thought I would be following candidates via the Internet, mainly through You Tube. What bothers me is Mike's denial that the bookshelf (obviously highlighted to represent a cross) next to the Christmas tree was not intentional. The ad endorses the celebration of Christmas and Christ's birth. Jesus Christ, Christmas, & the cross go hand in hand so why not just say that?
Those that support ron paul have way too much "loose change" in their pockets. he has no chance... NOT because of hidden powers lurking in the darkness... BUT because he would make a TERRIBLE president....
I agree with the 1st part of your statement, but I don't think that Huckabee is trying to manipulate anyone. Tell me how exactly he is manipulating you by talking about his faith. The most important thing here is where he stands on the issues and if he is going to walk the walk by doing what he says he is going to do.
By the way, I'm a Duncan Hunter supporter. I just posted that comment to defend a person's christan beliefs and hopefully piss off a few atheists.
will he represent the the people who truly in their hearts dont believe in god? and arent afraid of not believing? as president, he better answer to 350million americans(dems reps other)not god.
better answer to people than God? the humanistic atheistic garbage is about to end. Jesus Christ is Lord of All and the truth is waiting for you to embrace it. the problem with our nation is that it no longer thinks it has to answer to anyone.... much less God.
Very funny. Music and images very nice. Good quality video.
This self-titled Christian leader, former preacher, ran a CHRISTmas ad featuring an image of a cross in the background (intentional or not, it is a cross image) and we are to believe it is a mere coincidence?
I am tired of listening to a leader lie to me, and insult my intelligence. Anyone else with me? Has he even admitted it does look like a cross?
i am tired of people like you whinnnig about stuff that DOES NOT MATTER!!! Cross or not there is nothing subliminal about the man being a CHRISTian. is it a suprise to you that he would identify with a cross or CHRISTmas????
If you have such a problem with people like him that lie to you why dont you run for president? Or just shut up and deal with the people that are running.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You liberals have become much more militant in your tactics in the past decade or so. You libs just assumed that as the US becomes more modernized and intelligent people would realize how primitive and ignorant it is to believe in a god, but the opposite is happening. Christianity is growing here and around the world. The very fact that this ad was made proves how threatened you guys feel about another christian president because it only confirms what I just said. Merry CHRISTmas you losers!!
Huckabee will let all the murders and sex offenders out of Jail. I mean he is a minister and the Christian Law states, and I quote, "if you can look the examiner in the eyes and say you are innocent and you look innocent, then you are absolved from all wrong-doing and your penance is 40 hours of community service".
The parody brilliantly reveals Huckabee's true motive, make nonbelievers into believers. This farfetched idea makes sense because after everyone becomes Christian, he will win the Primaries and eventually become president. Since he's a minister he'll automatically get the Christian vote because Christians are required to vote for one of their own. This is how one perpetrates one's faith. Once he takes office,
Huckabee "subliminally" shows Jesus Christ on the cross, which became the symbol of Christianity. He is using this trick to convert us all to Christianity like past Christian leaders, only he's using shocking and distasteful pictures with extremely intense and emotional music.
Huckabee has been singled out by the media at every turn for his views on God, evolution, the Bible, Mormonism, etc. They ask him impertinent questions that aren't asked of other candidates. He didn't offer opinions without being (cornered) asked. Now he is purposely sharing his convictions and gets slammed again by that same media. Subliminal?
Very idiotic for any to think he'll need a "subliminal cross". To indicate what message? He clearly said CHRIST, CHRISTMAS & GOD. Would he need subliminal message when his words were direct? SMH! SMH. May God have mercy America
UMMM..... he's not trying to fool anyone! he's just wishing America a MERRY CHRISTMAS! He's not fake...since when is loving God enough to share Him a sin? since when is standing up for what you believe in a fake thing to do? So to everyone out there Merry CHRISTmas! And to all you scrooges out there Merry CHRISTMAS too! :-)
But man, people are up his keester too much over this ad. It _is_ a Christian holiday. Wouldn't bother me to see an Islamic candidate running a commercial about Ramadan with Islamic symbols in the background, nor would I feel "excluded" if he did. It's just weird to complain about a guy highlighting Christ in the middle of a holiday that is specifically about the birth of Christ. Or maybe it's just me.
I am glad that you profess your faith so boldly, if you do indeed believe. I am curious, why Ron Paul and not Huckabee? -Not that all Christians should vote for Huckabee, he is an imperfect man along with the rest, but I'm just curious...
Huckabee is controlled by the world elite. He desires to take away more rights from the American people. He has proposed a National ID which I see as a precursor to THE MARK. That is why I choose Ron Paul. It isn't even a choice.
Thanks for your response. I don't see how Huckabee is controlled by the "elite"- his campaign is way too poor for that to be a credible argument. As for "taking rights away", we must uphold God's law - do not murder, steal, etc. It is the basis for our constitution. The law is GOOD, and it is meant to protect us. If Huckabee wants to take the right to murder an unborn infant away from someone, I applaud him for upholding the true moral law given by God.
I agree. This should be dealt as a legal issue as well. It states in our founding documents that all men are CREATED equal.... this is an unalienable right. But that is not the issue that upsets me with Huckabee. He has been chosen by the media! Chosen by a media that is also owned and controlled by the "world Elite"! Incidentally, his approval ratings only started to improve after he spoke at the Council on Foreign Relations. I don't believe he is a real christian. I think he is an imposter.
Interesting, considering every president to serve our country has claimed to be a Christian... did they all suck? Or were the ones that were good just lying about their beliefs to get votes?
Good luck to all you Ron Paul supporters, merry christmas to all, but I truly believe Huck is the best man for the job.
i`m just saying that not every president has ben christian. jfk was catholic and not christian. there IS a difference. they believe in different things. that`s all. acting dumb is sugjesting that christians and catholics are the same.
Well, there's no such religion as "Christians". "Christian" is a term used to define one of the many many offshoots of Catholicism such as Lutherans, Pentacostals, Jehovah's Witnesses, Congregationalists, Baptists, etc. Despite over 100 different versions of Christianity, the majority of Christians worldwide are still Catholics.
There is only one form of Christianity-Believing that Christ ALONE is the salvation for us sinners. As He has told us, "You will know my people by how they love one another..." Differences in theology occur in some denominations, which is unfortunate when the Bible is essentially re-written... If their is no LOVE in a Church of people, then the faith is dead.
It is good to be discerning as to who practices the faith and lives their lives for Christ. Although many points in Catholic doctrine are not Biblical, one must be cautious of judging other's faith and salvation. The Church must be UNITED in Christ. Peace, brother and merry Christmas.
The Catholic church is the original Christian church, founded shortly after Christ's death. They were the only Christians for the vast, vast majority of Christianity's existence, until a few hundred years ago when Protestant religions began popping up, each with their own little take on Christianity. But these were still simply offshoots of Catholicism -- it's not like there were any "Protestant" versions of Christianity until recently.
CartwrightDale, you got it all wrong. the word "catholicism" means universal. cathlolics sprung up later in an attempt to unify all of the religions at that time in history. the "Protestants" did come later but only because catholics had, with there many new traditions, departed from what jesus` had oringinaly tought. protestants are in fact closer to the first christians because what they believe is pretty much the same thing.
*laugh* Who is feeding you that crap? Good Lord. Open any history book, encyclopedia, heck even Wikipedia. It's silly to argue about a statement of fact and history.
(Actually, I'm an atheist and don't have a dog in this fight per se, I've just had a few college courses in World Religions and study comparative religion as a hobby.)
cartwright, didn't you know it's impossible to argue with "so called" christians. they have lived with ingorance, lies and bigotry for so long they wouldn't know the truth even if they lived it (in which chase they would have to turn to their preacher to asked his their opinion).
Well, if by "later" you meant "a few years after Jesus died", then, I guess that's true. :P But kind of silly. Do a wikipedia search for "list of popes" to see the line. (Yes, I know anti-Catholic religions question whether St. Peter was the first "pope", and I suppose that's debatable, but remember to take most anti-Catholic bigotry with a grain of salt.) :)
i would have more respect for you if you were agnostic rather than atheists. i mean, come on. what makes you think you know for a fact there is no god. just be honest and admit you don`t know. as for the catholic-christian shit, you should at least have some understanding about true catholicisim and true christianity before you start debating it
prove to us that there isn`t a god... you can`t and if you can`t be honset to yourself and become agnostic. that`s all i`m saying. because, yes, it is harder to prove that there is no god than to prove that there is.
yes interesting cheez, but none of them had to pass a "christian litmus test" until recent history. now it's mandatory. what a shame, one's religion is the number one criterion to be elected to office.
to me it's another example of christianity gone to the extreme, the nutty extreme!
there's NO god... face it.... Jesus Christ was the bigest hoax ever, I'll bet the guy who wrote the bible is laughing long and hard in his grave....

Jesus Christ, Christmas, & the cross go hand in hand so why not just say that?
cgregory67 4 years ago
Those that support ron paul have way too much "loose change" in their pockets. he has no chance... NOT because of hidden powers lurking in the darkness... BUT because he would make a TERRIBLE president....
bubbabean69 4 years ago
I agree with the 1st part of your statement, but I don't think that Huckabee is trying to manipulate anyone. Tell me how exactly he is manipulating you by talking about his faith. The most important thing here is where he stands on the issues and if he is going to walk the walk by doing what he says he is going to do.
By the way, I'm a Duncan Hunter supporter. I just posted that comment to defend a person's christan beliefs and hopefully piss off a few atheists.

will he represent the the people who truly in their hearts dont believe in god? and arent afraid of not believing? as president, he better answer to 350million americans(dems reps other)not god.
slickmon 4 years ago
better answer to people than God? the humanistic atheistic garbage is about to end. Jesus Christ is Lord of All and the truth is waiting for you to embrace it. the problem with our nation is that it no longer thinks it has to answer to anyone.... much less God.
bubbabean69 4 years ago
BrokeProphet 4 years ago
tired of listening to leaders lie.... hmm..
i am tired of people like you whinnnig about stuff that DOES NOT MATTER!!! Cross or not there is nothing subliminal about the man being a CHRISTian. is it a suprise to you that he would identify with a cross or CHRISTmas????

If you have such a problem with people like him that lie to you why dont you run for president? Or just shut up and deal with the people that are running.

Merry CHRISTmas you losers!!
bsktball83 4 years ago
Huckabee will let all the murders and sex offenders out of Jail. I mean he is a minister and the Christian Law states, and I quote, "if you can look the examiner in the eyes and say you are innocent and you look innocent, then you are absolved from all wrong-doing and your penance is 40 hours of community service".
Machino 4 years ago
The parody brilliantly reveals Huckabee's true motive, make nonbelievers into believers. This farfetched idea makes sense because after everyone becomes Christian, he will win the Primaries and eventually become president. Since he's a minister he'll automatically get the Christian vote because Christians are required to vote for one of their own. This is how one perpetrates one's faith. Once he takes office,
Machino 4 years ago

And to all you scrooges out there Merry CHRISTMAS too! :-)

Christian, voting Democrat (almost certainly).

Huckabee is controlled by the world elite. He desires to take away more rights from the American people. He has proposed a National ID which I see as a precursor to THE MARK. That is why I choose Ron Paul. It isn't even a choice.
brutusbrutilda 4 years ago
Thanks for your response. I don't see how Huckabee is controlled by the "elite"- his campaign is way too poor for that to be a credible argument. As for "taking rights away", we must uphold God's law - do not murder, steal, etc. It is the basis for our constitution. The law is GOOD, and it is meant to protect us. If Huckabee wants to take the right to murder an unborn infant away from someone, I applaud him for upholding the true moral law given by God.
ThisIDig 4 years ago

Christians and Catholics are not identical, but Catholicism is one form of Christianity. Did you actually not know that, or were you playing dumb?
Anturiaethwr 4 years ago
i`m just saying that not every president has ben christian. jfk was catholic and not christian. there IS a difference. they believe in different things. that`s all. acting dumb is sugjesting that christians and catholics are the same.
ivandegodoy 4 years ago
Well, there's no such religion as "Christians". "Christian" is a term used to define one of the many many offshoots of Catholicism such as Lutherans, Pentacostals, Jehovah's Witnesses, Congregationalists, Baptists, etc. Despite over 100 different versions of Christianity, the majority of Christians worldwide are still Catholics.
CartwrightDale 4 years ago
sorry ivandegogoy, you are WRONG. i guess you are the example of what i call an ignorant "so called" christian.
wntoply6 4 years ago
There is only one form of Christianity-Believing that Christ ALONE is the salvation for us sinners. As He has told us, "You will know my people by how they love one another..." Differences in theology occur in some denominations, which is unfortunate when the Bible is essentially re-written... If their is no LOVE in a Church of people, then the faith is dead.
ThisIDig 4 years ago
It is good to be discerning as to who practices the faith and lives their lives for Christ. Although many points in Catholic doctrine are not Biblical, one must be cautious of judging other's faith and salvation. The Church must be UNITED in Christ. Peace, brother and merry Christmas.
ThisIDig 4 years ago
You can't be serious.
CartwrightDale 4 years ago
CartwrightDale, you got it all wrong. the word "catholicism" means universal. cathlolics sprung up later in an attempt to unify all of the religions at that time in history. the "Protestants" did come later but only because catholics had, with there many new traditions, departed from what jesus` had oringinaly tought. protestants are in fact closer to the first christians because what they believe is pretty much the same thing.
ivandegodoy 4 years ago
*laugh* Who is feeding you that crap? Good Lord. Open any history book, encyclopedia, heck even Wikipedia. It's silly to argue about a statement of fact and history.
(Actually, I'm an atheist and don't have a dog in this fight per se, I've just had a few college courses in World Religions and study comparative religion as a hobby.)
CartwrightDale 4 years ago
cartwright, didn't you know it's impossible to argue with "so called" christians. they have lived with ingorance, lies and bigotry for so long they wouldn't know the truth even if they lived it (in which chase they would have to turn to their preacher to asked his their opinion).
wntoply6 4 years ago
Well, if by "later" you meant "a few years after Jesus died", then, I guess that's true. :P But kind of silly. Do a wikipedia search for "list of popes" to see the line. (Yes, I know anti-Catholic religions question whether St. Peter was the first "pope", and I suppose that's debatable, but remember to take most anti-Catholic bigotry with a grain of salt.) :)
CartwrightDale 4 years ago
i would have more respect for you if you were agnostic rather than atheists. i mean, come on. what makes you think you know for a fact there is no god. just be honest and admit you don`t know. as for the catholic-christian shit, you should at least have some understanding about true catholicisim and true christianity before you start debating it
ivandegodoy 4 years ago
i would say to you ivand...prove there IS a god. not by your faith, but by with evidence and real proof. there is the REAL challenge!
wntoply6 4 years ago
prove to us that there isn`t a god... you can`t and if you can`t be honset to yourself and become agnostic. that`s all i`m saying. because, yes, it is harder to prove that there is no god than to prove that there is.
ivandegodoy 4 years ago
yes interesting cheez, but none of them had to pass a "christian litmus test" until recent history. now it's mandatory. what a shame, one's religion is the number one criterion to be elected to office.
to me it's another example of christianity gone to the extreme, the nutty extreme!
