@flowersings this isn't me singing, but a friend of mine. She was in highschool at the time & only about 15. But from what I remember she had a few voice lessons, & but did get nervous from performing in front of ppl.
1. Saw a boy a little rose, little rose upon a heath, it was so young and fair as the morning. Fast he ran to see it close, saw it with delight. little rose, little rose, little red rose, lillte red rose upon the heath. 2. Boy spoke: I break you, little rose upon the heath! Little rose spoke: i will prick you, that you will never forget, and I won't suffer. little rose, little rose, little red rose, rose upon the heath.
3. And the wild boy broke t'rose upon the heath. Rose resistet and pricked, but its "get away!" and "ouch" didn't help, it just had to suffer. little rose, little rose, little red rose, little rose upon the heath. kyrics: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, 1770 melody: Franz Schubert, 1829 (post mortem) BTW: look out for Versions of Helen Schneider 1978 and Ashleigh Taylor Madill. It is a very beautiful poem and melody about beauty and ephemarality.
@BrallierR She has a good voice. I hear it. Maybe she was really nervous or not ready to sing this aria or her voice has not matured enough for this repitoire or it's too high for her range. I don't know. But, I know a good voice when I hear one even if the performance is not the best. She has talent and doesn't need discouraging comments from people like you!!!
You have a very good voice!! Were you really nervous when you sang this? Have you ever had any voice lessons?

her high notes seem a little forced at some points, and a little too heavy with the vibrato. But a great performance of a difficuly piece!

@flowersings To clarify: I was only translating another person's comment at satBASS's request. It in no way reflects my own opinion or view.
