the small block motor is more than enough power for a jet boat if u know what your doing when you setup the jet pumps impellers. Set up correctly the higher rpms that the small block turns can easyly make up for the lack of tourqe produced by the small block

when the boat is not being used u close them cause you dont want moisture in the motor especially from rain. water wont burn or compress and it will bend up ur push rods possibly break connescting rod. but it wont be good and you just threw 30,000 out the window. all it takes is starting it and stuff is bent. i broke a 410 sprint car motor on my aitrboat cause it rained and i didnt have it covered. i started it and insatnt tapping. not good

A friend and I were booted off both Detroit lake, and Green peter here. Told never to return (in that boat). He has an open headered, 350 SBC in his boat. Plus where were we going to run? it's a lake! lol.

when you chop the throttle, the back end drops down, and you wake catches up, you don't want cold water to find yer exhaust valves.

Obviously doesn't know Jet Boats very well...

just started up a 16' Tahiti with a 450+ HP Chevy 350 in it. (Wish it was Ford but Chevy is cheaper...) and it sounded wicked, just like this Boat. Nice Job!
