I must say the archfish is cool did you get yours from your LPS? i think i might want one i would love for my fish to jump out of the water. I tried to teach my Green spotted Puffer to jump but he would'nt =[ How much are archerfish and are they agressive?
We all love to see fish grow but I don't want to see the fish trapped in a glass box. I suggest getting a small archer and make sure it's the species that maxes out at around 6 inches. There's a bigger kind that gets around 10 inches!
Anyways a 55G tank is eventually going to be too small for this guy. I had to remove a lot of plants and the angelfish and now he's happy w/ his space.
They are aggressive towards other archers and must be kept alone or in HUGE groups (like afr. cichlids)
i like the fact that u keep two fish and i think the white one was some type of eel..or something((let me know what it is if u have the chance))in the tank most people would put a bunch of fish in there just cuz the tank is big...less fish make the tank look way more beautiful than an overpack tank :]
I couldn't agree more! There are actually a fair number of animals in my tank. Their just not all in sight. I paid for 9 of them (LoL I THINK it's 9) and there's tons of snails (in 2 diff. breeds mainly) and sometimes I throw in some inexpensive danios from petco but I can't figure out who eats them or why they disappear.
Anyways I have 2 "spiny eels". Also a albino sgl. bichir, black ghost, dragon goby, pleco, and of course the angelfish. You must be thinkin of the albino senegal bichir.

the white fish seems to be an albino Polypterus, which looks like an eel, but is none

I wonder why he doesn't spit water onto his prey

jumping is easier. when it's something really high they shoot water.
