Observe the scores. The family in the lead had 163 points, while the other family had 78. The third most popular answer was worth 24 points, when added to the family with under 100, would have equalled only 102 anyway. To my knowledge, Family Feud has been the team with the most points after 4 rounds won. Only in recent years it's been the family to get 300 points first played for fast money.

Combs era the goal is 300, 400 for tournaments.

The score of 163 is pathetic, but that's because they played pathetically: they only got one answer, and it was the one worth the fewest points. I liked the one strike rule a little because it required a little more strategy—maybe it might be better to pass. One strike seems inappropriately small, but you have to consider what would've happened if the woman came up with a better answer. Then there would be only one answer left on the board. One answer, three strikes seems way too lenient.
