@MrDjvance At this point we don't know the airing date of Tough Love Garage On Discovery Channel 3NET, They pulled it from the orginal date because of all the internet activity that was taken on the show, and are going to promote it to a better standing point. I can say that it will be in January somtime, and I will let everyone know exactly when.. Thanks for the support and comments. Pete
Great videos!!! Thanks for taking the time to put out all of this helpful info. Yours is the best!! To clarify: So I do all of the bondo and then immediately prime. Then wait 2-3 weeks for primer and bondo to fully cure? Even after waiting this time won't there be shrinkage to worry about?
How would you tackle a very rusty chasis on a unibody car..Replacing the peices are almost out of the question with the car i have because replacement body parts are nearly impossible to find..The car is a 76 Dodge aspen R/t..The left side front chasis has almost eaten away ..theres still enough to weld to so would it be possible to make an intire bottom piece of the frame sort of like a cap and just weld it in place? It's good so far back..Like 1ft behind the shock mounts but after that.
@ahhGroovymangroovy Sounds like you need a parts car to finish this project out. All I can say is good luck on this one. Let me know your progress, would like to see how it turns out. Pete
GREAT WORK PETE!!! I currently live in Spain but in about 6 months or so I will be moving back to Sugar Land, Tx. I have a 66 GTO that is in bad shape & I am looking for a quality shop. I have noticed your in Lewisville near Fort Worth so I was thinking of giving you another project. You suggest I look for a local shop, or would it not be much trouble being that I will live about 4 hours away soon? I can send you a few photos to give you the current state of the car. Let me know. Thanks bud
hey pete u also forgot to mention when u were priming over ur body iv also noticed when i did mine the bondo is like a sponge it absorbs so much paint thats why its best to put a thick coat on it also.
@76camaro327 Good point, well taken. When you have a big bondo area, it's better to apply more primer due to the fact of absortion.... Thats why I come back and dry sand then reprime later down the line. Take it easy Pete
LOL. Most of our bite and stingy things run away from us in the bush, except for crocks, but they live eating our Drop Bears and kangarillapigs so I think it is safer than the big bears you guys have running around, that would scare me more.
bears? ah they are ok unless they are down wind and hungry... we had a few brown bears come on to our property and they usually run to the sound of a shot. but when they dont we have to take care of them. thats when they are dangerous. i havent seen any that really made me want to run for the hills just yet but i know they are out there...
But Kangarillapigs? WTF??? i gotta see me one of them! : )
We don't have guns here, only farmers with very good reason can get a (as in 1) gun, all thanks to martin Bryant (god I hate saying that scums name) google him, went on a shooting spree, so our government recalled all Guns, same as fire works there only allowed in one place ACT our capital. As for Kangarillapigs? Ask (guitarrelic) on this page, It is a secret, But he may tell you.LMAO
all right i was thinking that was an "inside job" and yeah i heard about that Bryant guy... that sucks so much. how is the crime rate? up since then i bet... well i think chainsaws make for better home security. atleast if you miss its not going all the way through you neighbors house... : )
oh yeah quick question you might know the answer, is Holden going to release a new camaro body down there?
Crime high, Shootings low. Stabbings high, chainsaws Hmm, (Must get one) No Crazy Guys with Spray Guns from Texas chasing U down the road Yelling (GET ER DONE). YES in 2010 I want one bad. There HOT but no $ There still testing em, U see 1 now and then, black and white triangles over the body to disguise, & still LHDrive. GMH traded with GM USA, U R getting our new bodied 2 door Monaro (GTO) There not selling them to us. Boo Hoo. Camaro is a good swap; a lot of people have already ordered them.
Yeah we are getting your Monaro because Pontiac bit the dust I believe. I love the GTO but that new camaro is SO SWEET! I got to sit in one at the dealership and it was crazy, I FIT! im 6'8" 240lbs so that is a big deal to me. I cant fit in the vettes, but i hate Mc vettes anyway. Id love a RHD Camaro that would be unique, out here atleast...
Did they ever bring the 70's body style camaro to Oz?
alright cool I wil have to find him... Im sure that if i were to try to "import" that car it would send all sorts of red tape up like safety standards and emissions... hmm this is interesting im gonna have to figure this out.
hay pete get your dog a girlfrend ok !!!
