@TheSilverLining80 ok,i will try it. Do u have any recommendations? Im oily in the t-zone, im thinking about getting burts bees garden tomato toner. Can u plz recommend something tht costs no more than 15$
@OmgItsMomoGirl That one's really nice. Even though your skin is oily, I would still moisturize. The toner contains alcohol, which can dry out skin and cause it to produce excess oil to make up for it. Moisturizer is your friend! :)
One says that toners (adstringents included) are the 2nd and not the final step of the daily skincare ritual, but how about the toners with collagen and hyaluronic acid components ? Do they substitue the third step ?
I would like a toner for days when I am stuck at work late or if I want to freshen my face during the summer months. Do you spritz? BUt I like to glow so then do you use a moisturizer or mineral powder?
I am loving the toner water, I used to use the Rose Water from Kelly's , it works well, now I ran out of it, whatever I put on my face without toner water, it just gonna make my skin really dry.... I used the one from Body Shop, it works just normal, I am always looking for some natural stuff which is alcohol or fragrance- free... I like your video... good job ;-)
I think using cotton to put toners on just dries ur skin and pulls it and stresses ur skin. I recomend just rinsing ur face an extra time, pat dry, then spray a toner such as rose water, nothing fancy, then use a nice moisturizer. BTW, any reccomendations anyone for a rather cheap ,completely natural/healthy cream?
Hello! I think your recommendation for the BWC toner caused it to go out of stock! I tried to order it and it changed from ships in 24 hours to 6-14 days! =)
Could you do a review of the Pangea Organics toner you got in your last video? I'm loving their line and was wondering what you think? Also I concur, could you do a video on vitamins/supplements/diet recommendations?
Wow, well at least you have it ordered and will be getting it soon! It's a great product for a great price.
I'll start working on a video about vitamins/supplements. I have some new ones I'm trying, so I want to see how I like them before I make any recommendations. :) Thanks for watching!
Great video, just ordered the BWC toner from vita cost, and you have got me hooked on Mychelle, my skin has not broken out since it started the products!!!
Thanks for sharing !!!
Also me and my friends would like to know more about the vitamins, supplements you use, your skin and hair look so healthy!
Could you do a video on vitamins, supplements, and any foods or dieting tips that you use?
The one from Beauty Without Cruelty is great. I also like the Nutriganics toner from The Body Shop. There are lots of great natural options out there. :)
I agree totally about the clinique clarifying lotion, I used it a while ago and my skin was so bad I had to start using pro active, and i have never had a problem before or since.
Great video! I sent you a YouTube message about two months ago, lol, so I'll try leaving you a comment instead. =)
You seem very educated on natural skincare, would you consider doing a video on the ingredients we should avoid when trying to go more natural for the first time? Thanks!
There was a sales rep from MyChelle at the Whole Foods in my area... I got sooooo many samples. I used the no tox serum and unscented polypeptide cream.. loves it! good video!
I completely agree about the Clinique Clarifying Lotion. Should be avoided at all costs. I bought the 3 step system about a month ago and used it for 2 weeks, and it made my skin break out like crazy! It was so harsh. I just returned it today. Never knew what the reason was though. Thanks for the info!
hi! i'm a girl aged 10+ and i have been having pimples, blackheads, the usual stuff. i have been trying products like topical treatments, cleansers, but nothing seems to fully eliminate the pimples and stuff. using the body shop cleanser and toner has toned it down a little bit, but it's not fully gone. do u have any advice for me on how to eliminate and prevent them?
Sounds like you're doing many things right.....make sure you keep your hands away from your face so you're not introducing bacteria; eat lots of fruits/veggies and drink water, and try using a product with salicylic acid. Are you exfoliating your skin regularly? Remember, acne with never go away completely, but you can make it better with good skin care!
I love the video, great info. I use the Kiss my face potent and pure toner. I was looking at Mychelle fruit enzyme toner but it has organic alcohol denat...I wasn't sure what that was. So just I stay away from anything with alcohol.
Hi. I use the mild clarifying lotion from clinique; it's alcohol free, and recommended by Paula Begoun. Just wanted to to mention that not all clinique toners have alcohol. Great video by the way!
Thank you for making great videos. You are my favorite makeup guru on youtube because you talk about products and skin care that is more natural and safe. :) Please keep up the great job.
i have been using the clinique clarifying lotion. i agree with the things you mentioned about it. i did notice my skin drying out and sometimes my skin even burned. so about two weeks ago i started using a differen toner and my skin feels a lot better. great video!
I was thinking of trying a few of their products. Oh and have you ever heard of double cleansing? It's an awesome and gentle natural way of removing makeup and such by using olive oil. It also nourish and moisture the eye area, and lets be honest we all now a days need a little help there :)
Fix + is intended to be a setting spray to mist on your face after you've applied makeup, or to mix with eyeshadows, etc. as a mixing medium. It's also a bit expensive to use as a toner. I would use a separate product to tone your skin after cleansing.
Im barely in 6th grade and i wash my face day and night everyday. i dont use moisterizer cuz i have oily skin. Do u think i shud use a toner?
OmgItsMomoGirl 1 week ago
@OmgItsMomoGirl It wouldn't be a bad idea. It will help remove any excess cleanser/oil and restore the pH balance of your skin.

@oliviaolas Yes, I have some toners in a spray bottle that I spritz on my face. Or I just use orange flower water....smells great!
TheSilverLining80 8 months ago
I've read in a Bobbi Brown beauty book that cold water does exactly the same thing as toners.. do you find that true?
BluexEyedxGirlx3 1 year ago
@BluexEyedxGirlx3 I feel like using an actual toner is more refreshing.

@ammurati Where do you purchase rose water from? I've heard that it also helps to grow eyelashes.

If u want 2 use get rid of pimples, blackheads, ect you should try Dead Sea Salt. You can buy it @ your local mall & it works great!
I used Proactiv first and it didn't do anything except break my face out more!
So if you want 2 use something good, then you should use Dead Sea Salt!
:)~

yes i'm exfoliating daily, but if i look closely, there are still bumps on my skin, so my skin's not completely smooth.

Now I want to make my own toner concoction! What proportions of toner/rose water/orange blossom water do you use when mixing?
JIovannone 2 years ago
I use approximately 2 parts toner and 1 part each of orange flower and rose water.
TheSilverLining80 2 years ago
A great toner is found in your kitchen...Red apple cider vinegar diluted with water of course. You could also add your own green tea :)
2sacmom 2 years ago 2
That is a good one!! A little smelly, but it does work great.....and needs to be kept in the refridgerator if you add green tea.

Fix + is intended to be a setting spray to mist on your face after you've applied makeup, or to mix with eyeshadows, etc. as a mixing medium. It's also a bit expensive to use as a toner. I would use a separate product to tone your skin after cleansing.
