  • Armenia bronze!!

  • these guys bests dimas's all time best by 3.5 kilos they are definitely better than dimas but of course nobody can be as consistant and be great as dimas in terms of legacy

  • A friend of mine does weight lifting and told me about Tribestan for strength! Apparently the original Bulgarian Tribulus product used by weight lifters from Europe especially when they were winning in the 70's. Got mine from TRIBESTANUK.CO.UK. and my strength went through the roof. And my friend from Eastern Europe swears by this.

  • I forgot how funny the Kazakhstan coach was. The little bloke nearly jumped out of his skin with joy.

  • he is immense as good as dimas at his best defo!

  • Yurik Vardanian could own all these guys around 3 decades ago, and at a lighter body weight lol

  • that guy juiced it hard, all the heaviest lifts were in the 80s, then pisaranko or whatever and someone else got caught in montreal with mass amounts of roids then next thing you know these lifts were never touched again

  • thats true man

  • LU YON 214 was too easy for him , he could lift lot more so roybaku realy need to snatch 200

  • Dimas best was 212.5 so roybaku 209 NOT WEAK !... i think 214 was near record

  • Dimas best was 215 in Sydney, and the World Record in the 85kg category is 218kg.

  • the record for the 85 kg class is 216 kg of llya llin from kazahastan in qatar 2005

  • No, it's 218kg, set by Zhang Yong in 1998

  • Credit to Lu Yong for getting the gold despite set back and China gave a great Olympics.

  • Rybakou's 209 should have been no lift. he had pressuots.

  • lol technically that 214 last was no lift because he droped it at chest height lol, but there stupid rules !!!!!

  • It was because of the blatant press out on his right arm....

  • he was referring to his 3rd attempt not his second

  • que buen equipo tiene china en lev. de pesas

  • Still the Armenian world record from the 1980 olympic mens 82.5kg is untouched. Too bad they raised the modern weight category to 85kg, and somehow 'restarted' the records, allowing the world to slowly forget the true (near 30 year old) world record.

  • @1TheRealKingKong1 Same with Tarenko and the Italians 87 and 88 records in the 110+ :(

  • Lu had a really good chance to break the world record in the clean and jerk and total if they hadn't reversed the lift.

  • but it was a pressout, so if they hadnt reversed the lift the competition would have been a joke

  • What is a pressout?

  • A press out is when you can't get your arms fully locked after the jerk, and have to press out with your triceps in order to have the bar locked out over your head

  • so the technique lu used on his second attempt was void, but it looked exactly the same the 2nd time.

  • Watch his left elbow very close, it gets "unlocked" and then "locked" again after a little press-out. On his 3rd attempt (2nd attempt at 214) his left arm didn't shake at all

  • why is a press out illegal? wouldnt a press out be harder?

  • it actually is, but the rules say you have to receive the weight with your arms locked, and receiving such a heavy load with unlocked arms can lead to injury

  • Lu bends his arms so early but somehow he's very good

  • Nothing can stop power of China ...

  • LOL

  • @rachel606573 Pretty scary message for any olympic games....commy bastards

  • Andrei R is one of the best snatcher in modern weightlifting he can snatch like U94 kg lifter but i dont know wats wrong with his Clean and jerk Dimas dominated 4 olympics bcoz he was good at both Snatch and C&J I had a gr8 expectations from Andrei for Gold but hats of to that Chinese lifter

  • too bad Rybakou is so weak at C&J
