I've heard a lot of people say it's because of Coldplay that these guys changed their sound and I just wanted to set the record straight. Kid A (The album where they "officially" changed) was released October 20th. Coldplay's debut Parachutes was released July 1st. There's no way Radiohead heard the album, said "Hey we're getting ripped off" and wrote a whole album in 3 months. They changed because of Creep.

I grew up listening to early Radiohead, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Blind Melon, Black Crowes, Counting Crows, Levellers, Primal Scream etc. I love this Album, and it was very fitting for its time, and for me it still holds up well, just as the Bends stood out against the Britpop albums and OK computer did against the heady 70's velvet goldmine era of late britpop (Manusn, Kula shaker, the verve). why so many hate this album is beyond me, guess they arent old enough to appreciate it or i am no fanboy?
