Yea it took the buggati how long to reach that speed, like 5 miles right? The ssc was on a 3 mile long road so figure it took less then 3 miles to get a faster speed then the buggati with have the cylinders and turbos, and was only running 8psi and like 1400hp? They said it was WAY under boosted, but iI have NOTHING against the buggati, Just think it is to much money conisdering the ssc is only 500,000 and would probably be more fun because its manual and rear wheel drive.

It is clear your choice of SSC has a lot to do with its brute performances, not quality nor reliability nor refinement.

If we were to be rational and given a choice between the two, again there is no argument about which one to take. So simplify this, Bugatti is much "nicer, pragmatic, better looking" than the Aerostar.

This is probably the fastest roadcar ever to be built. Its made only to show off what VAG can do and theyre making a huge loss on every car. I doubt that any other carmanufacturer is going to even want to try to compete, specially now with rising oilprices.

Drivers like Gordon Murray, McLaren F1 designer will disagree having riding the Veyron himself. Obviously you have not seen video like Prescott Hills Climb, other Tiff intensive test of traction control and other Veyron video. BTW, the Veyron is also drivable on snow track.

It may be the biggest engine.. I am not sure, and it does have the fastest top speed but it takes too long to get there and burns too much fuel. Top Speed is 253 mph. the Saleen S7 top speed is 250 but gets there much faster and by if the bugatti could catch up it would win, but it would run out of Gas before it could catch up!

Well ok your almost right, I would prefer Porsche more than Bugatti. But I would love to get an old 930 Porsche. Ferraris aren't really my thing, but if it's 70's or older racetrack classical Ferrari, then it makes me drool. It's cool. I have a "thing" for old CAN-AM racers too. They are as raw as they come. I had an Uncle who raced at Indy from the late 50s to 1961. He said that he finished a sprint car race sitting in 4 inches of race fuel that had leaked from the tail tank. That's raw.
I've driven all out race cars as well. The raw, metal on metal feeling is great. When my balls vibrate, my eyes sting from fumes and my heel is blistered from exhaust heat. I'm old now, and need a little lux.

Quick something to add in here..Bugatti were planning a lightweight car which was to use the W16 powerplant from the Veyron, although with the engine (somehow) turned up further. Project Lydia, it was called. However it didn't get beyond speculation and sketches, which really sucks =( 1200kg and 1250bhp and looks fresh off every 11 year olds sketchpad...

It may be the biggest engine.. I am not sure, and it does have the fastest top speed but it takes too long to get there and burns too much fuel. Top Speed is 253 mph. the Saleen S7 top speed is 250 but gets there much faster and by if the bugatti could catch up it would win, but it would run out of Gas before it could catch up!

AND the Bugatti Veyron hasn't a V16 Engine it's a W16 engine... If it would be a V16 engine, the engine would not be so compact

actually on a full tank of gas you run out of gas (At full speed) in 12 minutes. But the funny thing is, at full speed, the tires wear out in about 9 minutes, lol

The SSC is an american attempt at a supercar.. its not atually a proper supercar because it cannot be used for normal conditions. Its more like an experiment... to make a track car with 1000bhp and plates. 20 will ever be made because thats the minimum required to have it registered as a brand name. hard to find 20 idiots that would buy it anyway. It looks like a bad copy of a early 90s Diablo

Have you noticed that there are no showrooms for the Veyron, and no car lots with them stacked up like cords of wood? The reason being, is that there are plenty of people around who can afford that height of "luxury"......lol. And yes, it's an everyday car for them, just like an owner who has a Maserati, Porsche, Lambo, etc. For those who have the money, driving a car like that everyday is not a problem.

Sorry but I think that Bugatti looks ugly and btw luxury is bad thing on fast cars in my opinion :). But well, I don't like any cars that are newer than '92 or so. I was just correcting that it seems that SSC have passed Veyron, but I don't really mind.

Yea but think how it would go without that all extra-weight? :) And for me luxury is always bad, I just get this nice feeling from old and fast cars that are noisy and stuff. Real rallycars are the thing to me. Luxury is good when I need a car to do my daily drives, but at this point even that car doesn't have any "luxury". Ok, it has interior with 5-seat places but that's it :).

Well ok your almost right, I would prefer Porsche more than Bugatti. But I would love to get an old 930 Porsche. Ferraris aren't really my thing, but if it's 70's or older racetrack classical Ferrari, then it makes me drool. But my real "the thing" is old RWD Ford's and Opels, I have never really drooled after supercars.

It's cool. I have a "thing" for old CAN-AM racers too. They are as raw as they come. I had an Uncle who raced at Indy from the late 50s to 1961. He said that he finished a sprint car race sitting in 4 inches of race fuel that had leaked from the tail tank. That's raw.

I've driven all out race cars as well. The raw, metal on metal feeling is great. When my balls vibrate, my eyes sting from fumes and my heel is blistered from exhaust heat. I'm old now, and need a little lux.

Quick something to add in here..Bugatti were planning a lightweight car which was to use the W16 powerplant from the Veyron, although with the engine (somehow) turned up further. Project Lydia, it was called. However it didn't get beyond speculation and sketches, which really sucks =( 1200kg and 1250bhp and looks fresh off every 11 year olds sketchpad...
