Yeah, I did! I seem to continually have problems with having to get one thing or another repaired on it, but when it is running, it's a BLAST to ride! :D
Man there are some memories tied up right there!!! I had an 84 vf750 blue and white new in '85 at 17 yrs old. Threw on a Bassani 4 into 1, K&N's and a decent clutch and it was a freakin ball to ride!!(no baffles was BRUTAL as well on mine) The whole clutch assembly detonated at 23 K miles so I picked up a new 86 vfr700 limited in pearl white and a friend turned the 84 to a drag bike and tore it up. My first sportbike and I still ride (zzr600 kawi) but i always loved the V-4s. Thanks 4 vid!!!
Hey, I have a 82 Sabre VF750. Is it possible that you could direct me to a set of carbs for this thing? I sent mine to a shop a while ago and during the process my girlfriend (at the time) and i broke up, i had to move and i put my bike in storage and a few years went by and never fixed the bike. The carbs are`nt at the shop anymore (pissed) and now i`m trying to restore the bike. Do you have any info that might help?
I purchased this bike in 1983 and during the 4+ years and 35K miles, it ate 4 sets of cams due to poor oil circulation. Honda paid each time thankfully! Still it was the king of steetbikes, handled wonderfully, awesome brakes and the wide powerband was a force to be reckoned with. Did I mention it was very cool looking? Not as cool looking as my '89 K100RS BMW though...
i just bought this bike our of storage in a deceased mech's garage.. it's in the shop getting fixed up now, this is my first time hearing the engine.. think i'm happy?

nice man, color combo matches it perfect, have you took the fairing off to see what kind of look it has?
MasterMyers101 2 years ago
Never took it off to check. Last time I saw it was at Classic Cycle in Roseville, Michigan.

Do you reckon it would be possible to fit a single sided swingarm from the VFR to that bike?
DrummerMan52 2 years ago
Nice! I'm hoping to buy one today... Looks almost exactly like the one you have in the video. I'm excited!

I have the same bike except I had mine painted black with some silver detail. How much was the exhaust and where did you get it?
stgibson2810 4 years ago
The V&H exhaust was already installed when I bought it. It had 36,000 miles on it then and 48k when I sold it.

I had an '83 blue V-4 with V&H 4-2. First thing I did was remove the baffles - sounded like a funny car...lol

I never did end up taking out the baffles. I should have!

That bike had a Vance & Hines performance exhaust installed. I believe the stock pipes are much quieter.
