Do you know the process for when they breed new egg-laying hens? Half of the new born chicken are sent down into a meat grinder and sold as dog food. The male half, since they are of no use.

Well, im fairly sure most hatched eggs are female to begin with, and he sells some males to his sons (also farmers) because they are starting their projects. Lots of small family farmers in Indiana. So i guess im priveleged to live in an area with some small scale farmers.

I just can't understand people who eat meat, it seems the absolute height of cruelty and arrogance to consume the flesh of another creature. There are so many delicious vegan foods around today, there is just no excuse.
