proper technique has the thumb half way down the back of the neck of the guitar so you can apply pressure to the string and get a clean sound... expert ass wipe

The thumb on top is wrong, i've been looking lots of other places and they all have the thumb in the middle of the neck, not on top of it. You cant get much of a spread with the thumb on top.
