  • I bought this product yesterday and I tested it. It doesn't work and it burned my hair on 120 degrees Celcius WITH the oil and protestant spray from CHI. FUCK CHI. IT RUINED MY HAIR. NEVER BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM THIS BRAND. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. SO FUCK YOU

  • @GhostKnight64 pwnd

  • GUYS G CHECK OUT OUR PAGE AS WELL !!! :) and she also did a great job!! i love her!

  • I have this straightener and it's amazing I wouldn't change it for the world

  • great video :)

  • LOVE THIS FLAT IRON : ) got it for 70 dollars at marshalls

  • are you sure that's a 1 inch? it looks more like the 1.5. I'm only asking because I'm contemplating whether to get it or not, and I want the 1.5 :)

  • i have this one and i hate it sooo much!!!!!!!!!! it soesnt make my hair shiny at all! dont buy this!

  • Thanks for the video. You have beautiful hands. Have you ever considered hand modeling?

  • Sounds like its frying your hair...

  • it looks like you didn't straighten your hair right like section by section you were just grabbing pieces of hair from any part and straightening it some parts still looks like they need to be straightened

  • im sooo scared i got the conair red wet to dry... will it make my hair damaged

  • @jonaskdd like all heat products it WILL do some damage, but just be sure to use your heat protectant sprays and keep your hair healthily moisturized! :)

  • waht makes this straightener diffrent than a regular one? i don't gett it.

  • @shelbie596 She is using a wet to dry flat iron that is specialized for wet hair. A regular flat iron is not. Don't try it with a regular one, your hair will SIZZLE!

  • You are especially sexy, thanks a lot for your video clip. it can be pathetic i'm located within Ingleside because i can't get hold of high-quality cosmetics, on the other hand i get no fee cosmetic samples through "GratisMakeupSamples". i absolutely adore Garnier make-up!

  • It's sizzling like bacon on a hot skillet! I can hear it. But I know it's safe.

  • this is dumb!!ur hair is already straight duhhh

  • @ishopp24

The flat iron on straight hair locks out frizz, adds shine and gives the ends extra definition.

  • @ishopp24, Yes her hair is straight, but if you paid attention the video is not just about straightening hair, its about straightening wet hair,so in other words you don't have to blow dry it, then straighten it with the iron. Even when people with straight hair blow dry their hair it can look frizzy, so they use a iron to smooth their hair. It saves time if you use the wet to dry straightener, as you can skip the blow drying and save time.

  • Do you still use this hair straightner?

  • Do u need a certain type of flat iron to do this?

  • stunning instructions. cheers, has anyone used Revlon's new range of products?? it's hard to obtain decent makeup in Victor but you can recieve wonderful samples of makeup using "Gratis-Makeup-Samples"! theyre awesome.

  • got this for Christmas last year and i was sooo excited...but um yea this does not work on coarse hair. actually i won't say it didn't work, it just didn't straighten my hair as well as i'm used to.

  • I have an inexpesive version of a wet to dry flat iron by Revlon! I have hair that is somewhat difficult to straighten and this technology is AMAZING! I have never been able to get the same results with my regular flat iron. My hair is perfectly straight, smooth and shiny after I use it! I still worry a little about it damaging my hair more since it's wet but so far my hair seems healthier if anything so I guess it's ok. These are so worth trying out!

  • It's supposed to be 90-95% dry...... it's in the instructions, girl.

  • are the chi straighteners even universal voltage? people tell me they aren't

  • ah that sizzling sound just scares me. haha

i wanted to try this straightner...

    because it had digital settings

but i got a chi nano digital and its AMAZING

  • Just opened this iron up for Christmas this morning. I've never heard of this one but after comparing it to the others that Chi has right now, this one has an advantage because it has automatic shut-off and digital temperature settings.!

  • I love my wet to dry chi. I never went slow. I went fast. And the only reason why it felt damp cause you put wet hair with dry. why won't you section your hair, and then use wet to dry straightener. like you would with a regular chi straightener.

  • Well, in theory, spraying water on a shirt before ironing makes it come out smoother. Theoretically this hair iron is genius. Would I use it day in and day out, over and over? No. But once in a while, in a pinch, this would be perfect.

  • it seems good but it also seems as if it damages ur hair a lot more that drying it then flat ironing it

  • i have been really considering buying one of these but my question is does it work well as a straightener when ur hair is already dry? like just as a regualr chi?

  • Yes it does. I am a hair stylist and this straightner would workd with wet or dry hair. But, it would be much better for your hair and less damaging to straighten it while it's dry.

  • thank you so much!!!

  • You are very welcome. And another tip, if you do blow dry your hair, I would recommend using a wet to dry on wet hair. It's a lot less damaging and it would retain more moisture giving your hair that "out of the salon" look.

  • Comment removed

  • yes! it has different settings according to whether ur hair is wet or dry or damp. so its a great straightener for just a regular straightener. i love it!

  • I wouldn't do that , it feels weird putting all that heat on damp hair

I feel mine straightens best when i have it dry and good product in ..

  • hi there. I just bought the chi wet/dry iron. I have used it twice now. The temp does not stay at its hottest as you are using it. I have to keep hitting the plus button to put it back up to 200c. it seems like it is losing its temp, erature as I am using it. is this happening to you?

  • all straight irons lose heat with each pass, a normal striaght iron will lose 10-15 F each pass through

  • how hot does this wet/dry iron get? thanks ......

  • 3:17- if u pass it on only one time IT WILL NEVER GET DRY, you have 2 do it, like 2-3 times, THEN will come dry!

  • how come we don't see steam coming out like with vidal sassoon iron?

  • How long it takes getting ready to use?

  • omg im obsessed with ur hair i love it but missy over here WavyGirlKayaa is a humungous pervert ughh but anyways i have alot of questions to do with i hair soo y email back if u can

  • i Love Your hair <3

  • aren't the wet to dry flat irons supposed to be used when the hair is 90% dry? for safety reasons?

  • yeah!!

  • i have a "heat resistant" bag for my CHI and it is NOT heat resistant... i put my straightener in the bag a few minutes after i turned it off, and the inside of the bag (the silver part) melted.

    -.-

  • theres a remington one at kmart for $30 if you do not want to spend so much it is the same kind ofthin.

  • i hav a wet to dry flat iron...ive had it for about 5 yrs and i absolutely love it. works great and fast and doesnt damage ur hair

  • how much is this chi wet to dry flat iron and this question is 4 anyone who knows

  • its like 100- 250 dollors its expensive but its worth it

  • it really is worth it!!

  • i have this straightener and it is worth every dime. its fast, and makes your hair shiny and healthy looking. if you put your hair in a pony tail, by using this your hair wouldn't get crimps from when you had the ponytail holder in. its great.

  • what straightener is it?

  • the digital CHI wet to dry!

  • it says.

  • btw there is only 1 size

    1-1/4 in

  • u should do ur hair in sections. it would be alot faster=]

  • do the plates move??

  • but your hair should be 90% dry for this chi to dry your hair

  • exactly...otherwise it will harm ur hair

  • but i have a question..

will it still make my hair straight, silky, smooth, and shiny even tho i use it on dry hair??

ps i even blow dry my hair wen its like 80% dry..

or just let it air dry

  • omg i just got the wet to dry chi & i Love Love Love it!!! like omg!! totally worth the money!!

  • omg i got it and my hair is like really really thick and curly and today was the day that i got it and so even though i already took a shower i took another one just so i could try this and it's amazing!!!!!

  • can i use it on dry hair??

  • yup. its actually WAY better on dry hair.

  • really???

will it sraighten just as good n be shiny as well??

im thinkin bout asking this 4 a bday present...

  • yeah i have a wet to straight/dry remington but its not Chi and i love it but im gonna try the Chi one so this video helped. thanks(:

  • how abou for black hair! (nappy)

  • I dont recommend getting a wet to straight iron if you have a lot of split or damaged ends. This will actually increase it alot and dry those damaged ends out more. So make sure you have healthy hair before you do this its a great product ive tried the remmington and im sure the CHI is even better.

  • can someone please tell me how to get this chi thing?

  • ummm.......online hun or at any salon.. well perfessional salon! cuzz i hav 1 bu mines cost up to $300 because i got the reall perfessional one

  • Yeah, I've used a wet to dry flat iron and it wasn't a Chi, but it damaged my hair really bad.

  • doesnt this damage ur hair?

  • no it doesnt damage the hair! well it depends

  • She used a heat protector in her hair so it'll minimize heat damage. (:

If you used it without a heat protector, your hair will probably be a tad fried. Haha.

  • i have remmington and wen my hair is wet before skl it drys in like 10-20 mins :)

  • I have a wet to dry flat iron.. its remington not chi though... Seventeen says its one of the 3best flat irons to have so I bought it :P I love your vids.. you fantastic!!!

  • have u ever got burned?

  • i once got burned on my forehead by my straightener...but if you pull it away as soon as it comes into contact, and you hurry and go put on some cold water on it, then rub some vaseline every hour, it should go away in about a week.

  • hey, i just wondered if you knew; is it bad to use straighteners/falt irons on damp hair?

  • you CANNOT use a regular straightner/flat iron on damp hair. that is what the wet to dry hair straightner is for :) hope it helped!

  • i have a wet to dry flat iron .. it works pretty well when it comes to damp hair and getting it dry and straight, i just dont really like the way my hair feels after i use it on damp hair .. so i just always use it when my hair is dry.

  • i hear that these are really bad for yuor hair. that is what my stylist told me, but it looked like it made your hair silky!! so i am really unsure abour ir i have the digital chi nano

  • i have the remington wet to straight ive had it 2-3 yrs it works extremelyyyyy good.

but it takes me 2 hours, when its wet.

it took u like 10 minutes lol.

  • i have the same one, i dont use it on my hair when its wet tho, i wai til its kinda damp, it usually takes me about 10-15 minutes

  • how much was this flat iron?

  • Im sure this is a good product but that extreme sizzle just scares me!

  • Thankss, your the person who i get all my hair tips from..

I have that straightner it workks wicked good.

    ~ Asshh<33

  • theese r good for me because my hair is sooo thick it takes one hour to blow dry so i use these after ive blowed dried my hair to damp !!<3

  • duz da chi flat iron let off steam gliding thru wet hair? cuz im sure most ppl out there knu wat it feels like to have steam hit their scalp when flat ironing wet hair -.-"

  • Why is it bad to leave your hair to air dry?

  • it isn't. it's actually better

  • I have the wet and dry nano croc with the digital temp. settings and I find it works excellent!. It makes my hair so silk smooth without frizzies... And it stays that way all day.

  • im mixed , jamaican and french...and i bought one of these. it did nothing for my hair. dryed it out yes.. but as for the slick straight look i usally get, that did not happen. it did however dry my hair enough that i didnt have to use my blow dryer but i still had to go over it again with my straightner...ouch and very time consuming...all in all.. its prolly works well on hair that is easy to straighten, but not for my type of hair...

  • i have a chi original it works good and i have a remington wet 2 straight

  • do you think she has a lot of split ends from all the hot products????????????? please answer.

  • I Have That Chi serum thing! woot woot! i feel special Now ^^ teehee Gosh My Hair strighter sucks now. do you know when you should buy a new strightner? like every 6 months or something?

  • no u can keep a hair straightener for 2 years and it will still work..

  • i have one

    one of those

    wet to dry

    ones

    its not a chi

    one

    though

  • I have a Wet to Dry iron and its really good.. but i have quite wavy/curly hair naturally that is really thick and it takes me for EVER to iron my hair with them and get it straight. When i do it lasts and its super silky and smooth but i was wondering if you have any tips to speed it up or make it easier for me...? Thanks!

  • Yea I have one that works superr good! I got mine from Smith's.. Yea I know it is weird butt it works wonderss!

  • i have a wet to dry straightner but it dose not look like that its alittle bigger & it makes beeping noises when u press any of the buttons but it works really well like that one except i think it coast less then that one it is $29.99

  • I think we have the same straightner....

Jusqu'à ce que nous nous rencontrerons à nouveau,

    Meghan

  • would this work on curly hair?

  • I have a conair wet to dry... I hate it, I only use it when my hair is completely dry.

  • yea i used to have that too! it sucks baddddd. lol

well it wasnt that bad on dry hair but it didnt do shit on wet hair

  • no it doesnt my hair stylist does my hair with that aaaaall the time and i have SUPER curly hair and it works like a dream for me i want it but its like 200 dollars and i already have the regular chi which i don tlike as much

  • Mhm, 'sactly what happened to me.

  • yepp same here. i have a regular Chi that ive had for 3 years. i SOOOO need a new one.. gahh

  • Hi pursebuzz! I am a professional hairstylist, and im not sure if you know this while that may work to dry and flat iron your hair you are doing so much damage to your hair you are taking out all of the moisture in your hair, and eventually you will notice the damage, just a friendly help to save your hair! =-)

  • It's taking out the required moisture to dry it, not completly drying it out as much to damage it. Chi flat iron plates are built with conditioner's to help repair your hair.

  • yes, my hair is naturally straight.

  • try T3 wet or dry!!!! it's amazing.

  • Its time I update my hairstraightners. I had some FHI's but I want to try something different. I heard GHD's were really good but now I saw this. Do you think these straightners leave your hair as straight and as silky as GHD's or not?

  • the straightener definataly leaves your hair super straight and shiny! youll love it!

  • I was the demonstration for this iron in my cosmetology class, it works wonders!! My hair had a lot of body and none of those stray flips like normal :[ The only problem with it is that the steam floats back and can burn your scalp if your not careful!

  • thanks so much for the info!! i got a wet to dry iron for christmas and it works wonders for my hair

  • This seems like it would take forever because i have a lot of hair.

  • i decided to buy one of these except it was a remington i believe. It was for wet and dry hair. the first time i used it was one dry hair and it made it quite static-y. But running it through my fingers made the static go down. The next time I used it was on wet hair and it dried it almost completely and sort of straightened it. the next morning my hair was curly and poufy. my hair gets that way when it is wet.

I just wanted to say not to buy remington. sounds like the chi is the way to go...

  • i used to use the remington wet to dry but it did not work well going from wet to dry. but in my opinion, if you put it on the highest heating setting and use it while your hair is completely dry, i love the results you get from it- super striaght hair, yet it made my hair flat also. but still, that is a great straightener when using it on dry hair!

  • the chi wet to dry is such a great product! after i get out of the shower, i towel dry my hair then leave the towel in and do my makeup, then i take the towel out and use the chi and it straightens wonderfully. i get my hair completely dry and super stright(i have thick, long, slightly curly hair) but the chi leaves it the way i want still giving my hair extra volumn i never had! i love it:) you can get your hair completely dry without it still being damp!

  • will it work if u have curly hair?

  • the chi has continous heat the does not decrease even through thick hair and through all hair types it will straighten!

  • this is to ositadlt

  • yea the 2" one. :D

  • I've been taught wet to dry flat irons are HORRIBLE for your hair!! Is this girl a licensed cosmetologist????

  • there not bad if you are using a heat protectant spray for your hair

  • actually the heat protectant spray will still not help your hair when you are taking out all the moisture with that iron....and I am a licensed cosmetologist just thought i would help you out...but i could recommend quick and easy ways to dry and flat iron your hair with out destroying it =-)

  • ooo please tell me. message me or comment back please and thank you (:

  • i THINK addmeordied is saying that the heat protecting spray won't work when ur hair is wet because it takes out all the water, not wen its try.

  • Not true, I know someone who has been a hairdresser all their life (50 years) and she says heat protection spray is essential for you to not to damage your hair. My hair

dresser says the same. I'm sorry if I'm wrong.

  • I'm using the Babyliss Wet To Dry and it's good too ^^

  • i just got this for christmas, and i love it!!

i personally have never used anything better : D i do recommend it.

  • even if this does work (and it appears to ^^) i don't recommend doing this daily. especially not if the hair's soaking wet. if it's a bit damp, go for it.

  • it's true wet to dry makes it so shiny.

  • goodness...if it sizzles doesnt it mean its bad?? idk so many questions haha. and my hair is really fine. doesnt seem like a good idea. rawr. it seems like it will damage my hair badly badly. it doesnt seem like she's doing it right though. uhhmm...like the strokes are pretty fast. rawr.

  • hey, I'm with you. I find my self blow drying and then using the Chi flat iron on low. I also have thin hair and I think too much heat is damaging it. What to do? :-(

  • hmm...i jst stopped using it since i didnt really need to flat iron my hair...then i cut it shorter to kill off the ends. do you have naturally straight hair?

  • I Have a wet and dry chi it is amzaing ! i use it every day almost since im soo clean and i think its is amzaing but not as good as the new flat iron the new one that doesnt need noo protection to it and lasts for 4 days until u take a shower and thing is u can brush it out without and hairspray and it still stays on!!!

  • Do all CHI's have that floating plates technology? Where the plates move when you squeeze them hard and the temp. increases?

  • she did it fast w/ bigger sections so she could show us in a shorter time

  • I LOVE my wet to dry straightener. I have to go over everything about twice, but its not a CHI or anything, I got it for like $15 at Walmart, so no biggie there. They also sell heat resistant bags for curler and straighteners at the Container Store. The bags are really great for travel.

  • Hmmm.Thats co0ol.

  • ......ZZZZZZZZZZZZ......

  • does it damage my hair badly??is it good for ur hair??(is it healthy for my hair??)

  • does she have any tutuorials for curling hair with a flatiron?

  • Yeah, my hairdresser uses this on me b/c I have alot of hair and it takes forever to blowdry. He said that you should blowdry it until it's about 30-40% dry and then use the wet to dry.

  • I had one from conair and it just fried my hair. I had to stop using it. but looking at that flat iron makes me want to try another one. they are handy when you need to be somewhere fast.

  • conair hair products suck though, every conair one i have had has ruined my hair, to the point where i had to get a hair cut and cut it almost all off, because it was so fried. the chi is a better brand and it works better.

conair just sucks a lot, all it does is ruin your hair, i would say that if you wanted a cheap straightener, revelon works pretty well, but it doesnt keep your hair all that straight as the more expensive ones would.

  • ugh. All I have a a conair suckish flat iron, and a curling iron, but the curling iron works, the flat iron takes wayyyyy too long for me.

  • It goes from wet to dry in one stroke?

  • can i use the wet to dry to just straighten my hair??or does it have to be wet??

  • traducelos por favorrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • idk if she said this but your hair MUST BE 90% dry before using these... otherwise its kinda pointless

  • i have a Remington wet2straight flat iron and it works really well. the reason your hair isn't completly dry is because you have to go over it more than once. and they don't damage your hair, they actually make the hair softer and shinier if you use them correctly.

  • heey do you have any kind of trick to make hair grow faster instead of ectensions cause most of them get really naughty and it doesnt look like hair it looks like doll hair and my hair it doesnt grow fast my hair makes a turtle look really fast cause my hair grows really really slow and i need it to grow soo if you have any idea how to grow your hair faster that would be really great for me and other people thanks and hop you have a great trick cause i need it byee and great video

  • her hair still looks wet!

  • omg..never use your iron on wet or damp hair. damaging! dry only. these wet to dry are all marketing.

  • what is the difference between a wet-to-dry flat iron and a regular iron? why can't you straighten wet hair with a regular iron??

  • it will fry your hair and burn it

  • you can, but gets it a little greasy looking.
