Not to be.."that guy"...but all this talk about Filter making it..and their sound, etc. You do realize they've been around for years before they started pumping out this jaded pop rock crap right? Short Bus is the only Filter album, imo. All this new material is a different band entirely, and I personally cannot respect it. More power to them for changing things up and doing something new, but I'm sure they lost far more fans than they gained over it.
I agree. "Hey Man Nice Shot" is the first Filter song I heard, and I loved it. Now they sound like all the others - Dave Matthews, Train, Vertical Horizon - not that it's a bad sound, but it's not what made Filter who they were earlier. I mean the industrial rock style they had when I started liking them. That was cool.
Just to clear things up Filter did make it. Every album has went gold or better and they are a consistent force in music, Chevelle and other bands borrowed their muscular style, but Filter has had two top ten singles in "Take a Picture" and "The Only Way is the Wrong Way". Filter is something you either get or you don't. I personally think they are geniuses at sounding outraged and producing intense simple music. The Amalgamut was the best but this is good.
Absolutely right. One of the most underrated bands out there. And yes, the Amalgamut is their best and frankly, one of the greatest rock albums period.
And they still raise a bunch of emotions when you listen to their tracks compared to the dead filler type music of now...Amazing they never really "made it" (whatever that means) as a band.
Ah, good ol' New World Order songs, guess somebodies been watching Zeitgeistmovie. com. I love when great bands know what's going on so they tell people in songs.
Wow, you're a little behind. And what does what he said have to do with what I said? All I was saying is it sounds like an anti-NWO song. Have you seen ZeitGeist? Also, since you can't tell obviously, it's Monkey Ball Z, it's capitol for a reason. Most people get it.
If you think the NWO is necessary, I have some points for you to consider - Do you really think a world government can meet the needs of the entire planet? What about culture? Imagine filtered globalized media. Imagine the banking system and the military in the hands of the few and the elite with the power consolidated by the rich. If that doesn't scare you, I don't know what would. But I think that ramifications of a world government should frighten even the most uneducated or uninformed person
Great video. Great song. Great artists. Reminds me of something Bono would sing. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys in Harrison on 6/21. Keep up the inspiring lyrics! It means something to so many.
This song is incredible.. There's just something baout when Richard sings, it sounds as though he's pouring his whole life into his voice, as though he's ripping out his heart for the song. It's incredible.
They sound like U2 in this song. Tottaly different than nice shot.

Richard Patrick is 40 years old, and still he hasn't lost his voice in the slightest.

I had no fucking idea Richard's brother is actor Robert Patrick (the T1000 from T2!)

Zeitgeist the movie is simply retarded. Although, this song is awesome no matter the message.

Zeitgeist is informative. What they are trying to do though, now that I understand, is impossible. The NWO is going to happen and is necessary.
