My goodness I wanna see more videos of the baby-babies! so so sweet! my gut reaction is ARGH the tiny cages - but then i see the way they completely trust their lives in human hands, and they suddenly look all so so well cared for. lovely to see, really really lovely to see i cannot wait to get my new baby budgie. just beautiful.

@theuniqueRKWvlog To ease your fears, the 'tiny' cages you see in the video are in fact show cages and are used during showing and judging and even then for only short periods. The show cages must conform to a specific size and shape for approved shows. The birds normally have plenty of room to stretch their wings and as you point out, are very well cared for.

@theuniqueRKWvlog Thank you, that does very much put my mind at ease. They look so so trusting of you, and healthy - I loved the scene of brushing their heads! I'm getting a budgie soon, as my two 9 year olds died not so long ago- and i can only hope it's half as trusting as the ones in this video are :)

captive bred birds are occasionally sprayed with water (as these have been) to encourage them to preen and condition their feathers (as they would do if they were caught in the rain in the wild). It is harmless and most seem to enjoy it.

What kind of budgerigars these? They have strange heads!

@radafuk82 I think this budgie style is called 'English budgie'. They're slightly bigger than 'normal' budgies. These ones look like they were simply puffed up, were molting (since some had pin feathers), or were sprayed with water, and so their feathers are sticking up as a result - hence the 'strange heads'

@taiyou18 I believe I read somewhere that English 'gars are a bit more calm than the transatlantikeets (but, of course, ALL budgies are wonderful pets). Is this so? I've never known an English one, however of the several "normal" pets I've had, there've been different personalities represented.

@TheOrganiston9th I'm not sure either whether English budgies are any calmer. But yes, each bird definitely has his/her own wonderful personality :)
