actually switched from green to blue, highly recommend it.  Green is wrongly assumed to be the superior color to key on.

Blue was typically used for film mattes back in the day. I think green is much more common nowadays. Admit it, you used blue because green woulda screwed up your clovers.;) Oh, and btw, awhile back I similarly blew up thewinekone in my Wine Stains video. Check it out if you like, although I must warn you, it ain't clovers comin' out of his head.:P

Yes, you're right, I chose blue over green because clearly my actual real life clovers that actually really exploded out of my head on set would have conflicted with the background and been keyed right out. haha.

I'll check out your a'sploding winekone. But, I can assure you, blue is still used very often. The choice is generally made by what is being filmed and what contrasts better.
