During the Stanley Cup Final, Crosby celebrated about 15-20 seconds too long and Lidstrom was the one to skate off the ice early; Crosby said he was confused as to why he skated off. After the Winter Classic, Washington basically said "let them come to us" and Pittsburgh did the same. Neither team went.

It's that kind of blatant disrespect that makes me dislike him. I understand the hat thing, and the Winter Classic, if Crosby had any sort of guts, he would of been the bigger man and went and shook the Caps hands. They were the losing team, they should of showed a little more respect than that.

As for the Winter Classic, who knows. Maybe the Penguins just didn't feel like shaking hands. Maybe they forgot (several of them didn't know it was tradition). I personally don't think it's a big deal, though.

@greendayghostgirl There are reasons behind those things. During Ovechkin's hat trick, the hats had been falling for a few minutes with the Penguins losing momentum. During the Stanley Cup Final, Crosby celebrated about 15-20 seconds too long and Lidstrom was the one to skate off the ice early; Crosby said he was confused as to why he skated off. After the Winter Classic, Washington basically said "let them come to us" and Pittsburgh did the same. Neither team went.

As for the Winter Classic, who knows. Maybe the Penguins just didn't feel like shaking hands. Maybe they forgot (several of them didn't know it was tradition). I personally don't think it's a big deal, though.

I watched every single one of those games, and I never heard anything like that. Yeah, he did have a part in us winning, but every player did. It's too bad that all the Capitals fans are jealous whiners. You are all just mad because we beat you in the playoffs. First off, yes the pens scored right after they had six men on the ice. Pens would have lost game 3 if malkin had been suspended like the rules state. Detroit doesnt continually cross check people into corners. So obviously you did listen to it on the radio. Bettman forced the pens to win and if you knew anything about the nhl you would no that. Great, another fan brain washed by the media. As soon as bettman leaves or crosby changes teams, you will realize it doesnt matter about the team, just that bettman protects his little boy. Crosby could go to the islanders, and they would magically win. Once again, people like you are ruining hockey.

Wow. That is what helps sports, rivalry. But when you cant touch a player or start a fight, and everything is dictated by the commisioner, then rivalries cannot happen. So its people like you that agree with bettman that are going to ruin hockey.

Rivalries are still out there. They're everywhere. They haven't gone away. People hate the Pens, and people love them. People hate the Caps, and people love them. Bettmen has nothing to do with those either.
