Put the down payment on mine yesterday. It is due in the first week in July. I almost passed on it because they had a SS Dayton with the Silver Dials, arguably the most sought after Timepiece in the world. But I LOVE this Sub!!!
@zeo99 Not silly at all. Two completely different timepieces. The green Sub would be a great compliment to your GMT Master II. Go for it! You won't regret it.
I find it interesting that Rolex polishes the centerlinks of its two-toned and all gold Submariners but that they don't with their steel Submariners. I wonder why that is.

Also, do you have a quote as to how much a replacement would be? It does seem like it would be more costly than an aluminum insert, but it is also designed to last longer (scratch resistant and fade resistant, etc).
I have the same watch with the same face but its stainless steel and gold. Could someone tell me what a watch like that lists? My parents bought me a used one for graduation recently and they wont tell me how much it was..

Damn fine specimen - too bad the ceramic bezels cost a fortune to replace and seem prone to breakage...
