i was sitting bored today in class and thought of many ideas ranging from playable sandbag to the whole 3ds wii u connectivity exclusive characters :D
Piss on me. Fucking piss on me but do it in the antarctic so that the pee freezes in mid air while you are pissing off a building and the piss turns to spear's. impale me with frozen urine and then shit on my butt corpse. Im a fat gay and I want to go to Ice Hell ftw.
I think this is too messy and complicated; it seems more inconvenient than just having two separate, exclusive rosters, even though I don't support that idea. I really think they're going to focus on making the games two different experiences altogether, with the WiiU having the huge Smash experience with heavy multiplayer capability and the 3DS being a more personal experience, built less around size and more around customizing your own fighter.
@LordJackal I agree, with that being my own point, except that I believe they should not have a custom character and that they should interact, I think the transferable method makes it easiest to please all types of owners.
The problem with having a character you can create and make a moveset for is a balancing issue, but if they find a way to do this without it breaking the game, I think it could be a very nice addition. I feel transferring and being able to change the rosters on the games is going to cause more issues than benefits...I guess I just think the game should go in a different direction. I feel that's the way Sakurai's been hinting too.
An idea I have is the Wii-U version will continue the current trend and make the graphic's more realistic then brawl. Wile the 3DS version would go with a more cartoony graphic stile kinda like Legend of Zelda Windwaker & Skyward Sowed (witch would have the added bonus of reducing the game's file size allowing Nintendo to make the 3DS version bigger)
they could also make the Wii-U version more competitive (like SSBM & Brawl+) and the 3DS version more caguel Like SSBB
4:04 I think the idea of being able to completely disable caricters is a bad idea as if you don't want a praticuler caricter, then you can just NOT USE HIM (or her). Also the Mii could be used as a custom caricter kind of thing
7:10 lol I don't think anyone (ok maybe 2 stupid people on the whole planet, but still) would pay $50 to unlock 1 caricter (even if it was Geno)
I like the idea of having a single roster as opposed to the double roster. However, I don't think something along the lines of switching characters between the systems would be possible. The reasoning behind having a smaller roster in the 3DS version is due to the hardware limitations. If characters could be switched, then the 3DS version would need the programming for all characters. Customizing characters would bring the same problems, because you must buy both versions for full experience
@AgentSmeakz WHAT IS IT WITH CUSTOM CHARACTERS I SAID NOTHING OF THE SORT. You can customize the roster and layouts, they are interchangeable, much like sending data to you DS and back like many Wii titles like Pokemon Ranch. You do not have to have both versions there are exclusives if you by one or the other but not if you buy both, opposing the complete separate roster idea yet still appealing to all the consumers, I expected better from you Smealz. Also a paragraph.
(CON) then see that you have to pay more to unlock the rest. It's extortion! If you were to put in the mechanic featured in Mario Kart 7, where if you meet a Mii online with a part you haven't got yet and you beat it you get the part but it's still unlockable in the game, then we're in business. But seeing how the 3DS has a more limited hardware, a customizable character would be a welcome addition. Then maybe you could transfer THIS character to the Super Wii version to play in HD.
I disagree. The separate roster concept might work. The 3DS and Super Wii exclusive stages won't work, from a consumer standpoint. What if you only wanted the 3DS version but you found out that the game has this massive amount of unlockables but ONLY IF YOU OWN THE SUPER WII. This cannot be solved if you imply the system. You must include a way to unlock them even if you don't have the other version. And no, DLC is the last thing to do. It's like buying half a game for it's real price and (TBC)
@Rider0fLightning One stop calling it the SUPER WII it's the Fucking WiiU.
2nd If you listened the 3DS version has specific characters, if you own both you can interchange them, to support consumer purchase in all three ways.Third DLC is optional to place missing ingrediants, much like many adventure Xbox games there is patches to play with owners of DLC. Fourth as said before I believe in complete customization of the 3DS version but not a custom character. YOU HAVE TO LISTEN
@SamOxnar Wii U sounds stupid. It's like what the Super Nintendo was to the NES so I call it the Super Wii. Deal with it. Anyway, DLC is not good at all because Pizzadudemanguy said in his Yosef Response videos putting in DLC characters someone at Nintendo says"We got all the fan demanded characters" and then the next game comes along. What will they put in that? Either they will get the most obscure characters, get more 3rd-party characters or (this is REALLY optimistic) make new IPs.
@Rider0fLightning The Wii, little known fact originally stood for wireless internet interaction, and the WiiU is implying this connection with "Us" I like it personally. One, don't believe everything one person says, I hate DLC, but it can work, and hey I doubt there will be a SSB5 for another 1000 years because, the WiiU is declared a so called console for life, therefore prompting DLC. One whats wrong with 3rd party or obscure characters, I like them more than the obvious 1s.
@SamOxnar Whatever it's a name change, like Matthew and Isaac. I don't like the naming scheme of ANY console these days. Vita? Because it means "Life"? Really?
Anyway, what I meant to say was "...DLC is not good at all because AS Pizzadudemanguy said...". I don't read a book and think it's real.
Nothing wrong with them. Just that it's A NINTENDO ALLSTARS FIGHTING GAME!
But yea, I've seen the idea of 2 separate roster and I think it makes no sense. It pretty much holding characters away from one side. Also, my guess with this whole customization thing I believe is this. You can custom alts for your characters or change their attributes. I can't really see much more other than that, but that is my opinion.
@SmashKing201 Thanks I believe total customization of the 3DS roster would be an affective comparison to the grand WiiU version, which leaves a great question, What about Mii?
@SamOxnar As for the Mii's, I think its possible if Nintendo is really commited to this new experience of customization for Smash. But then again, is it really customization if you transfer a Mii from you 3DS to Wii? Can't you already customize a Mii's appearance outside the game as it is? If Mii's can be customed in Smash, I can only see their appearance having customization, not their move set like some people think.

YOU READ MY MIND!! you should get rewards for having the both of them.
3DS:has like 3 new people exclusively for 3DS
WiiU:has like 3 new people and when you connect them together, you unlock the 3DS People on your Wii U. and you unlock you Wii U people on the Wii U.
Nintendo already said you CAN fight on 3DS vs. Wii U.
You Smart.
