Lets see , you can use dermablend, covermark, bobby brown, mac, and merle norman. All these companies make great concealers and they work better than panstick. My choice is dermablend or powdwer base by merle norman. Happy drag midnight wylder.

Kryolan TV Sticks are the BEST! Unbelievable coverage. You can actually use it to go a few shades lighter without it even looking ashy. However, be warned - its not the best for your skin - when you apply such a thick formula onto your skin - you're risking some breakouts - I know I get a major zit or two when I use it for weeks.

i like the mehron creamsticks,even though the consistency is different.You just have to use more powder.I havent tried the kryolan sticks because theyre harder to find, and i HATE when companies only use a number system on thier foundations! And with the variations on computer onitors it is so hard to tell what color youre getting. I think the melting of the nye foundations into old pansticks is extremely clever!perhaps they will start making them that way soon.

Blanche i hope this gets to you but the kryolan tv paintstik is freakin amazing its well worth the money tho it has a great finish!!!!! and it isnt as greasy as the others are. And i love ben nye foundation as well but the kryolan is well worth it but i take a hair dryer get it a little melty and use a foundation brush to apply it since i hate keeping empty containers around !!! Thank you!!!! As an entertainer and actress, I constantly have issues with foundation melting under stage lights. I was a Pan-Stick user for years and nearly died when I found out they were going to stop making Pan-Stick...Goddess knows why, but whatever. Anyway, thanks SO much for the Ben Nye melting trick!!! It's so hard to find a good base stick that isn't chalky, greasy or has less coverage than that CG crap.

I use the mehron stick, and it is more liquidy.....but the way it covers the glued eyebrows is just fantastic.

Also, the purple arches in this video are very harsh and it almost gives you a clown eyebrow look.

I enjoy your videos & toast your skill & talent. After powdering a full coverage cream foundation, I find it looks "dry" and flaky. Can a man apply too much cream stick foundation? Can one apply too much powder to a cream stick foundation? How do you know when enough is enough? How does one keep from overdoing things? I recognize that a direct response from you regarding this issue might be too much to ask. Could you do another tutorial on skin prep, & applying foundation & powder only?

Thanks for the tips I cannot believe that some manufacture company does not give the consumer what they want. Hello if you and a bunch of us are willing to melt makeup to fit it into a tube that is an untapped under served market. Go figure. BTW there are some sources out there which still carry Max Factor panstick around $8.00

I know L.A Colors has a stick foundation because I own one. (lightest ivory, I think.) For me, it's a pretty good coverage. Only problem is I have to pack on the powder, but I think that's just because my skin's some-what oily. But it's perfect for when I want a heavier coverage. Just thought I'd tell you about it, case you didn't know. (: It's called mystic foundation.

Dermablend is AMAZING... check it out... perfect for oily skin and combo skin... a bit dry for people with dry skin but it covers EVERYTHING! It can even cover tattoos!

I really wanted to stockpile Max Factor when I found out, but finally resisted the temptation. After all, it won't last forever.

I use Bare Minerals foundation and for the bad spots and under my eyes, I use the concealer by Amazing Cosmetics. It's VERY expensive, but a little goes a long way. I'll have to try out a few of these alternatives.

you do know that microwaving the foundation alters the formula right? Might not always be noticable but it kind of breaks it up and rearranges the molecules

It can. Ive never had any problems with Ben Nye. I would never suggest melting something like MAC or MUFE. But the Ben Nye stuff, I go through so fast it doesnt have time to really alter.
