Despite any misgivings I may have about the "Space" being similar to so many space strategy games, I have high hopes this will blast WoW off the top spot.

The character creator looks nice but I wonder if you'll be able to equip other outfits on your character? Maybe other weapons besides Starfleet issue?

I hope this also has a lot of solo content because it's not always easy to get a team going.

It might, but I doubt it. If possible, I'd recommend upgrading to at least 1 gig, if not more. Most MMOs require around 512 from what I've seen, and they're slow to load with that.

But honestly, your processor and graphics card are what you should be worried about. Having excessive amounts of RAM is great for multitasking, but for games processing power is much more important. A good graphics card is also a must if there's a lot of fancy effects.
